The problem with this whole system is having upgrading attributes and cosmetic items using the same ""currency""

and how stupid is it that you have to spend VC if you want a wristband for your player.

This always cracks me up. People are mad that it's not a quick way to max out their player lol

Y'all do know u can be a great player within a week or 2. Jesus the complaining about a optional mechanic is annoying af. It's so much VC u can get for free in like 5 minutes of your day through apps and skipping through nba2ktv. And after a while of playing you will have so much VC u won't know what to do with it. I have 200k in 2K17 just sitting there and will never be used.

I really am not getting all the crying about the VC. What really is the issue? Let's be real.... there are TOO many ways to earn points to build your player that there really shouldn't be much complaints. Don't have the time to play hours on end everyday, buy VC. Got time, play one of the many modes you have access to. Play mycareer and actually build your player up. Use the app. Or just wait for the inevitable day somebody does a licker code for 500,000 VC. Not to mention if you're buying the BASE version you're getting 5000 off bat. And most are probably going with legend editions so you're looking at 100,000 or 250. Like if the you're looking for is VC to be gone, just give up because it really ain't going anywhere. And if all you wanna do is play 5 on 5 with ready made great players, there are like 50+ teams for you that are there.

Great, more people who don't read and completely miss the point.

So your whole point is what it's too expensive? Then spend your VC wisely.
No one is missing your point. You're just being told what your options are and not liking them. You keep saying the grind, but last I remember, video games were supposed to be fun, not a grind.

If you read the thread, you might find out, instead of popping in here to make the same lazy argument that others made.

Guy, I read what you were saying. What IM saying is that there are just too many way to get this VC I'm not even getting what the issue is. You keep acting like you're making some sort of profound points when all you are doing is spouting the same half baked complaints others have had since 2k started this VC stuff. So your opinion is not by any means unique.

"Too many ways to get VC"

Maybe you're ignoring it, but perhaps these points may be profound to you. Players cost more and more each year, more things get added behind a pay wall that wasn't there before, the mobile app has given out less and less. What people are irked is that a "competitive" mode isn't balanced unless and you're cornered to grinding in other modes (Which people have stated over and over again they have no interest in) AND 2k has shown a trend of nickel and diming more and more, which people are upset by.

So yeah, it might be unique to you, because you apparently didn't think about these other things. Either that, or it doesn't bother you.

And if you actually read the thread, you'll see these very same points and counterpoints were already made. So yeah. You did not read.

Re: NBA 2k18 - Another VC grind fest?

It sucks that I'm older now, with responsibilities and less time. Because I'm also wiser, and I can see how 2k is doing too much with the VC again.

We gotta pay for hair? The stuff that like grows on our head? Oh iight.

I need to spend 20 on vc to jump start my guys cuz I'm an online player. Like I don't have the time to grind badges plus my overall if I wanna be able to play with my friends too. We all gotta do this.
So if it's even more to get our players overalls up that's just corny.

I don't wanna support paying extra on a game I paid for full price already..but it really sucks I feel like I have to and I never liked how 2k made it feel like that.

For the same reason Madden is where it's at today instead of being 10 years ahead. Gamers want to game, and when there's only one game to get your fix, a lot of them will buy it, even if they don't like it as much as they want.

With the premise being... I take my player from nothing, to one of the greatest ever.

                        How long should that take?

                        Honest question.

But when that same player is used for the Park and Pro-Am , and half of the players are an 85 overall the day of release, it’s an issue for the guys who play this mode.

Most players who venture into the park and pro am don’t even touch the my career portion of the game, so they need to stay competitive.

It’s hard to look at it from both sides of the argument when you don’t venture into other game modes, but they do have a serious gripe.

Especially guys with jobs and lives and families, the grind to reach that level just isn’t possible. Raised VC prices make it even harder to do. It’s a serious catch 22.

People need to look at it from all sides, though.

The point YOU'RE missing is you do not have to "grind" in other modes, you can "grind" in the mode you want. You have options. And if you don't like those options or they cost too much for you, don't buy it. Don't support something you are unhappy with. With everyone like you, there is another person who has no problem paying or "grinding" in order to improve. Which is the point I think you're not comprehending.

My question to you is, if we as players are given multiple avenues to accumulate points to improve, and they choose not to use those avenues, why is the problem not that player? What is 2k really supposed to do that would please those players? This is an honest question. Because all I'm hearing is "make it easier for me" and I think that's not a good answer.

Honestly? I really don’t have a clue, man. I don’t use VC, never had too because I’m myleauge exclusive.

I’m looking at it from a reasonable POV from both sides, and I can see why a lot of these guys are upset. So what would I personally do to make change or resolve it? I don’t know. I won’t lie and try to make something up lol.

I don’t play career or any of the park modes, but 1000 VC for facial hair and basic haircuts is a bit excessive to me personally. As is them raising all the prices of VC for attributes and everything else.

Also, them cutting the amount of VC you can earn in the app is a bit of a low blow to these guys. I’m not trying to advocate for either side here, just looking at it from an objective point of view.
