I think there's a Hard Foul tendency or something like that. The '89 Pistons (Laimbeer and Mahorn especially) seem to be called for flagrants more than normal (though nothing extreme).

Plus you probably wouldn’t want to reduce the overall number of fouls called, you’d want to increase it.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
2k has left a lot of the 70s/80s/90s teams underpowered because they haven’t updated ratings for them in years. The way the rating system works now, an average bench player is probably around a 75, but a lot of the older historic teams have players in the high 60s/very low 70s. Speed ratings are often bad for them as well.
On another note, it looks like Eddy Curry has been added to MyTeam today (if qualified as a legend for the thread lol). As always, highly unlikely he gets added to historic draft classes this year.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
I wish 2k would give us the power to change players hairstyles through the years. For instance Pat Ewing had a high top fade during the early to mid 90s but once 1996 begins he were sporting a natural.Comment

Example:
Ben Wallace: Afro - On (Often)
Ben Wallace: Cornrows - On (Rare)
Though I guess we'd have to figure out how to toggle correctly in the event that two hairstyles or more are flipped to "Often". Maybe only one 'do could have an "Often" designation while an "Always" would grey out the other options.Last edited by VDusen04; 05-03-2020, 04:43 PM.Comment

Even in lieu of absolute hair freedom (which I could see being tough on account of varying head shapes), I'd fully support hair presets. As in, Ray Allen could have two presets (fade, bald) that could be toggled and Ben Wallace could have an afro and cornrow preset. You could also include a tendency option, dictating how often they should sport which hair for guys who went back and forth from night to night (obviously wouldn't make sense for bald and fade).
Example:
Ben Wallace: Afro - On (Often)
Ben Wallace: Cornrows - On (Rare)

I swear one of the early 2Ks (maybe the one he was on the cover) had Wallace’s hair switch between the fro and cornrows periodically, but it would be nice to actually control it.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
I recently played nba 2k11 again and they had Rodman with the rainbow hair, I forget for which team. My favorite Rodman hair design but they left that team out of the newer 2ks. And Patrick Ewing had a hairstyle in that game that could be accurate for both teams, he had like a high taper Afro , it could pass for a fade or a Afro i think

Yup. I'm relatively certain NBA 2K3 did that. Even when it was random, it was a cool feature.Comment

Watching the “Last Dance” and I started thinking of playing an offline season with the 80’s Pistons. Question is, can you duplicate that defensive style in the game? That team isn’t exactly loaded with offense so defense is going to mean a lot. That’s intriguing but I wondered if it’s a style that can work in the game.

I’m hoping with the attention the “Last Dance” has gotten, there’s a focus on adding some more 80’s / 90’s players and improving the entire old school experience some. Every time I watch an episode, I get an itch to play with teams from that era.
