I've been reading through comments of this video on youtube and i got the impression that people mostly complain about the shot meter. I mean, i just can't believe that someone would complain about that, i play without it, and this if you ask me looks better than the old one, kind of smaller, smoother, but i guess i don't understand things people complain about, we all spot something else.

"You should've left it as it was in 2k17" followed by the comment "this looks like 2k17.5"

I agree, I don't even use the shot meter but I feel like it's an improvement.

Also noticed every single shot in the trailer was a swish. Looks like it could be another year where 75% of the shots are swishes. Bleh.

Guarantee you the percentage of swishes is a lot lower IRL than shots that touch the rim. I'm not saying rattling around forever. But there does need to be more/varied rim interaction.

i like how realistic and smooth the commentary sounds so far. makes you feel like they are there watching live footage. make me smile cause the comp did do a good job with theirs on the one and long shot. Game is looking great as always. Let's GO TEAM 2K!!!

what about the rattle in and outs? if these type of misses were in game, any game, it would be a nice addition.

That Lakers play where they run a pin down for Clarkson 3. Man. I mean, man..... it was fluid, fast, smooth, all of the above. I had to slow the vid down to check it out again. Catch and shoot animation looked incredible.

LOVE the pace it appears to be playing at.

what about the rattle in and outs? if these type of misses were in game, any game, it would be a nice addition.

Aren't there rim rattles in and out in 2k's? Since I didn't really keep track of it, but I think I may have encounter what looks like about to be made shots, rim rattles that eventually just became missed buckets.

Pretty much every shot was a swish - but let's not speculate anything there yet. Seen some back and forth about that already.

But the swish animation looked faster FINALLY. Like gravity actually applies to the nets suddenly. Dunno if I'm seeing things though.

99% of bank shots don't hit the rim in 2K (to date).

That lighting is great for Staples, MSG, Wells Fargo Center, The Peak, etc. just hopefully it's at least normal 2k levels in the other more lit arenas and not 2k14ish.

It's nice to have KG,Kobe but it's gonna be just like the addition of Smith, Webber, Barry, etc. last year. I wish they'd just go the route I'd suggested and introduce a "regional" broadcast duo of no names for lack of a better term and keep Harlan, Anthony, and whoever rotates in for the 3rd guy as for the "national" broadcast. Imagine how much more in depth they could get with guys who don't have the schedules of the NBA guys. They could introduce a 2nd scoreboard and broadcast package (think what NCAA Basketball 10 did). It'd turn out pretty sweet and make up for the lack of a official license.

Btw, maybe I just don't have the same expectations from sports games in general, but I'm also mystified by how much stuff people complain about in trailers/short clips. I'm not gonna pronounce myself some gameplay guy (I'm a detail/authenticity nut), but I'm really surprised at how much is wrong per say for a game that comes out yearly. Anyways, hope one day the have someone to address the minor things that bother me artistically and from a presentation standpoint.
