Czar- Has anything been changed since the demo build was finalized? Will the demo be a good representation of the final product?

      Thanks!

Like in 17 Spurs would be running 4-1 almost everytime I played them.

        Was this asked/answered previously ?

Not every team has thier own freelance, not sure if that is what you were asking.

I usually put teams in 3-2 if they don't have a specific freelance in the game because through testing I have seen that the AI is most effective in most situations using that freelance from my AI vs AI tests.

There is a lot of sweat and thought equity that goes into creating and maintaining these highly detailed systems. Why help someone figure out how to replicate that ?

Completely understood Big Czar. Knew there had to be a reason some of this stuff was hidden.

Jordan posts up (but not in a set play). Brian just decides to try a post up in freelance.

Then he (possibly accidentally) gets Rodman over for a pick (which eventually goes away).

But then, AI Rodman comes over and stands next to MJ whilst he's still trying to post up.

Ideally I'd have liked to have seen the AI sort of "clear out" when you do a post up (similar to that of a manual PnR).

Keen to hear your thoughts on this - thanks in advance Czar.

You couldn't gif that for me Mark ? Gonna make me pour through all that bad offense Huh ? lol.

This is an example of where I say the more structure you play with the more of the Ai you will see. I love Franchise so this is no slight it is hard as hell to play in that environment and then to try and capture for the elite gameplay purists is no easy task.

Ok if you call for a screen and roll that man has to complete his action. If you don't want him to complete you have to call a quick iso becuase I can't know what you want to do there. I assume you want him to roll because you called for it.

So Rodman was not even finished rolling so he had no chance to get to his spacing with the ball in that location.

Had he not called for the screen and dribbled down rodman would have tried to space but even that will take "some" time because spacing is different between reacting to a drive, which is how he got to the post and reacting to a post-up.

Play vision does not affect the AI in any way except in Mycareer if you have play-vision on we wait longer for the user to be in the correct position. If it is off then we do not.

Other than that play-vision only affects what you see. The AI is the AI for the most part.

                    Thanks!

Dev's hate these questions, very hard to quantify and it all depends on how much you are able to notice. For ME. These last few weeks allow me to add a lot of subtle imrovements becasue i can make adjustments and changes without the weight of "must finish game".

So the level of polish available between demo and day one patch for the stuff I work on is huge (to me) But you may not notice everything I am adding simply because AI scored on you before and it does so now LOL.

Were you able to notice the deeper layer of flow-tech I installed on that one play that almost no one runs ? LOL.

And again I can't speak for other dev's in thier areas but I would imagine it is similar ?

Demo's are early man before all the real polish goes in usually, please don't take these as absolutes.

For the end product though the polish makes it all worth while but if you are not all that observant maybe it doesn't ?

Hey Czar, many props to you for keeping this thing going. I was going to hop on 2k17 today for a bit in prep for 2k18 just to get reacclimated to the gameplay of 2k. Watching the vids, seems like a lot in movement has changed, and since Lives controls mirror yours pretty well, is it worth going back to 2k17? I assume the "feel" of the sticks are completely different this year, so 2k17 may not even help .

Again, many thanks for what you guys are doing, putting in the work for those of us who don't want to bicycle through the neighborhood, instead play a great x's and o's game.
