lol what a joke. definitely passing on the game this year. what a disappointment.

after straight 15 years of buying a 2K basketball annually (and sometimes two games, when College Hoops was still around), I have to bow out after this. how many years of next gen terrible CAP systems is this? 4? 5?

Not happy. Really would like to know who was responsible for this decision. Step up and present your rational please! Build upon 16.17. No reason to take a step backward. Definitely will impact buying @ $59.99

I honestly wanna know the rationale behind this decision. Like who thought this was a good idea or that it'd go over perfectly fine with the community? Like the system was already at the bottom as far as sports titles go and somehow it got worse?

I have to agree with you guys the CAP is really really bad, for me custom roster and draft class creation is pretty much Death now as I simply cant see myself make realistic looking players with this at all there is hardly any customizing, i cant see any rational explenation why they did it this way at all.

No no no no no say it isn't so........i have played the prelude yet but I seriously hope the cap system isn't that bad....to say it's the worse when 2k14 had presets and no customization is terrifying. 2k there is no way you take 10 steps backward when in 2k14 you had a backlash for that horrible cap system which lead to the one we actually liked and preferred.....this burns me up! I hope the full version offline cap offers more......i have little hope it will though. Day one patch would be great.....but they rarely patch the cap system.......

Yeah more than likely they won't do any patch for the new wack CAP system smh. Not sure why they even allowed this to happen, I'll honestly take 2k17 customization over this any day. Guess no MyLeague for me

If they don't give us the face photo import feature from WWE 2k, next year, I'm done with this series. It don't make no sense how trash this year's system is.

Yeah I'm not sure why we can't import photos yet, WWE 2K is light years in head of 2k when it comes to customization. It's because all people want MyTeam and Park smh. I'd rather not play park if everybody gone look the same

We literally can't change skin tones and they barely allow us to make any changes to the faces. This is a pure travesty. Whoever allowed this to happen, needs to be fired immediately. MyLeague is literally unplayable now 🤦🏼*♂️

Preorder canceled. I'll cop around Black Friday or something.

I am a very rare poster and usually I'm very understanding of 2k not being able to please everybody. So instead of spending most of my spare time on O.S I actually play the game.

But in this instance upon hearing of reactions to 'The New CAP System' and today's Prelude release confirming it. I just want to say can somebody from 2K please wake me up from this nightmare and say it's all a bad joke!!

I cannot believe they have removed the one thing for me (and numerous others it seems) that made this game durable. I have spent 100s of hours creating my own draft classes as well as using other individuals brilliant draft class creations (SimWorld for example). And now the one thing (Sculpting) that made these cosmetically unique is gone.

I have pre-ordered 2k18, but I am a 100% offline player. I am seriously considering cancelling this years game. Please 2K, come on here and say why this been done to the favourite way of immersing myself into my game experience

I agree, WWE has the perfect system smh. If 2k actually cared about this side of the community (myleague roster/draft class makers) they would've been implemented it by now

Seriously, this is the one instance where the mods should let us completely go off on 2K...lol. There really is no excuse for this.

Wow..just wow. What happened there? The only viable reason i can see is that they want you to go to the barber shop etc to buy facial hair, hairstyle and maybe even skin shaders? Don't like to use big words but it sure does Look like a blatant cash grab...

It stings even more since I've spend some time in 2KU and the gameplay feels so damn good this year!

I am generally a silver lining, give them the benefit of the doubt kinda guy...

Even with them taking away the sculpting...I was willing to consider that we would at LEAST have enough preset options to create SOMEWHAT ok likenesses.

But this is just wrong. I am considering cancelling my pre-order now. The ONLY thing I like to do is create custom classic rosters. Why would they give us such deep team rebranding features and take away player creation options?!? This is destroying TWO distinct and popular 2K groups: Realistic draft classes and custom classic rosters.

It is great they gave us 80% of 16 new classic teams, but BTW, y'all can forget any decent "completed classic team" projects this year. They might as well shut down the roster forums because it will be DEAD this year, with the exception of the FEW current roster guys.

And for the record, this an UNDERreaction to this BS.

So has it been confirmed we can't adjust skin tone with offline CAPs? Or is this just a MyCareer thing? If that's the case then there is still hope for more options for roster creators.
