Yep...its the same and its a HUGE let down. I already knew we'll be able to get new hairstyles and facial hair but that's not exactly what I was referring to. I was just talking about the CAP system as a whole. We're super limited and we couldn't make a Reggie, Barkley, or a B.Roy if we wanted to. Lets not even talk about draft classes smh...

2k17s Cap system had more controls but the faces were really bad
2k18s Cap system has better faces but the controls are really bad

Re: New CAP system
1. No they don't, because if they did then they would adjust the game to what everyone in the community was saying (OS, YouTube, Twitter) instead of just the people who whine and complain. Just because they're the loudest ones doesn't mean they're the majority
2. Well yeah? of course they're gonna care about money... that doesn't mean they have to shove their micro transactions down our throats, does it?
And micro transactions are part of video games. They'd be idiotic to not implement them. If you can't help yourself but spend money on micro transactions that's on you.

Re: New CAP system
If you really don't think they care about the community that's on you. But I've never seen a company more engaged with their customers. Not just fake talking to but actually engaged. They've made so many changes to the game at the request of the community. They make the game with a certain amount of resources and capital available and they're also allowed to have their own vision.

In other words, keep them out of game modes like MyGM where they don't belong and stop advertising them everywhere we go.
Also, Like I said before, they make changes based off of what the loud, obnoxious people complain about, not what would necessarily benefit the community or the game.
They had somewhere around 12 patches for 2k17, almost all of them based off of stuff that the online community complained about. There was maybe one or two changes made to MyLeague and MyGM in those 12 patchesComment

Re: New CAP system
Look, this idiot Ronnie2K doesn't even know what "CAP" stands for SMH
I don't know about y'all, but this is very alarming to me! We can't have people like this representing the community!!! It's clear that they really don't have a clue what anyone (outside of the online community) wants. He's part of the reason why this franchise is becoming a joke.Comment

Once again, I didn't say Microtransations should be removed, I said they shouldn't be shoved down our throat.

But maybe they had to take a step back to take a step forward? In other words to make CAP more life like limit the options this year and then figure out sculpting?
I just think the large reaction has been so excessive.

Brian Mazique captured some video of the new CAP at the Run The Neighborhood event.

All we asked for was more customization options, hairstyles, tattoos.. and they completely killed the CAP system. This is a terrible idea, man.
Draft classes, additional legends, all those possibilities are gone for this year. Why do they constantly remove good features? Nobody asked for GTA2Kborhood. Literally no one. But we get a giant open world with a bunch of generic looking guys to fill it. This is worse than that stunt they pulled with the CAP in 2K14. Bro, I am pissed, like.
MyLeague is done for me. I rarely ever play the first season, I go straight to the draft to get some good looking rookies in the game, not this year.
Quick games lifespan just got cut in half, no offseason rookie rosters or adding on legends.
MyCareer is really dead to me because I wasn't interested to begin with. Now I can't even be myself unless I can get this janky, convoluted app to not scan my lips to be on my chin.
This literally ruins everything except MyTeam for me. This is a huge disappointment.
I really can't believe this, man. I had gotten so much good news about this game, I went out and paid off my preorder. I'm glad they're refundable because no way in hell am I giving these guys $150 for this, man.Comment

I guess you're not someone who likes to use custom historic rosters or draft classes, which is fine, but without a good cap system, those are nearly impossible.Comment

Re: New CAP system
Why the hell would they remove sculpting for one year and then add it back in the year after, unless there's an uproar and a ton of backlash from the community

And I love the custom rosters and personally will be just fine with the draft classes that people create this year.

Re: New CAP system
Mannnnnnn. They're gonna have to find a way to patch in skin tones or something. This is downright unacceptableComment

Because programming video games isn't as simple as going to target and buying a Lego set.
