Re: New CAP system
Thank you for responding. We just need that sculpting option to make accurate people, otherwise we are left with pretty much nothing when it comes to creating college/retired players.Comment

New CAP system
Exactly. This is one of those features that goes under the radar because it's just assumed it's gonna be in there. And a lot of those guys who download custom draft classes and rosters take for granted the amount of work involved to create decent CAPs. But hopefully 2K will see the negative impact this will have on all the other modes.

Re: New CAP system
Not to pile on, but I will. I honestly really don't care that much for today's NBA but I buy the game to make my 1992 roster and play the game how I want, with all the guys I liked watching growing up. I can't believe I am saying this because they usually put out such a customizable product, but I really do not think I am going to buy it unless they tell us they will fix it for this years game.
I mean my rosters are not even that great so I can only imagine how DaInfamous and EmbraceThePace must feel when they put out great work! This stinks no way around it, they gotta own it and fix it.

Re: New CAP system
2K is always removing features from previous games. I remember 2k12 did not allow us to trade classic players from classic teams!!! That was just so stupid.
And now they do not allow us to create players. Yes, because what they are proposing this year is just useless.
I don't get why such things happen with such a huge game. It is as if devs want to troll us all: "Yeah, we are giving them so many customization options this year, but guess what: they won't be allowed to edit faces this year, hahahahahahahaha". It is a shame and a huge let down.Comment

Re: New CAP system
@gorgentj23,
Well said the sculpting option is definitely a core component of the previous years CAP system as well as skin tones. I will never understand why it was removed. Hopefully they can implement it before the game gets released or post a note that fix is on the way!
Combine previous years CAP with the new lip types some updated hair styles (have not seen in game) and we will begin to move forward in the right direction.Proud member of the 0.04%Comment

All we wanted was for them to find a way to make the CAP's look realer (ala more natural looking hair, lips, eyes, discolorations, cheeks, skin tones...etc etc)
Nobody asked for an entire new way to create them (unless they were giving us the face photo import from WWE 2k)Comment

Re: New CAP system
Ok. So the more I think about it.... it's one thing to take sculpting away. Yes. That sucks. But to have a system where there is little to NO distinction between different settings is a complete fail.
Watching that video where there were like 50 different eye settings with hardly any discernible difference between them makes it look like they phoned it in.
Even if they can't patch in sculpting. Surely they can patch some sort of fix for this.

Re: New CAP system
I had made peace with this generation's terrible CAP face system, honestly. Like, after seeing EmbraceThePace create a few draftees that looked REALLY on point (this is probably the problem lmao), I think like Ben Simmons comes to mind from whatever that was, all I really wanted was discernible body types so we could differentiate the Raymond Felton-types from the Brandon Jennings-types
but instead we lose everything lmaoComment
