In all seriousness whether it's spamming, whining, whatever, 2K already knows what they need to do and that is just make a decent CAP system. Relatively simple solution that they keep failing to address or fix year after year. That's not a complaint, that's just being real.

On another note, does anyone know for a fact that CAP is as bad as the system for my player? Do we have confirmation that it's the exact same? I would go back and read but I don't really have the time or desire.

Brian Mazique basically confirmed that the only real changes between the offline CAP and MyPlayer, are unlocked hairstyles and no tattoos

Damn, people here getting **** on for voicing their displeasure with 2K....I feel like I'm in the Madden forum. This is the main thread for the horrendous CAP system this year. I'm really disappointed with what's been shown for CAP this year and I'll leave it at that.

If it doesn't improve in the real game, then I think a logical explanation would be that 2k is trying to push for their face scan option to help advertise the 2k app.

Longtime 2k customer-

I have seen 'robust' used repeatedly over the years by 2k and customers to describe the CAP.

Just my opinion -
I do not believe there has been any real effort to provide a CAP that matches their obvious programming abilities. They annually put out an above average game that is excellent in many areas, but CAP has always been lacking.

If the rest of the game was at the level of their CAP over the years, how many of us would be buying that game every year? I would not be buying it.

The reality of the 2k strategy for CAP? -they do not want to create a CAP too realistic. I think it would hurt the sales of the following year, if they ever gave us a truly 'robust' CAP.

Hopefully, we will see it improve- it has been a known issue for several years now.

Should be no excuses.

People trying to close a thread about a really flawed component of the game because everyone is apparently "too" upset/disappointed lol. They act like we have our pitchforks out trying to start a boycott of their precious 2K...we just want to know why the CAP system was destroyed this year

This thread can stay open but all of the bickering and back and fourth needs to come to an end.

At this point I think that most if what can be said has been said, but it's important that everyone gets to express their opinion. Just be constructive and don't derail or spam the thread and we should be fine.

And remember, in the end, we all want the same thing here, a good/robust CAP system or at the least not having options from 2k17 taken away. If we get any kind of CAP patch for 2k18, then this thread has done it's job, but all we can really do now is wait.

It's apparent you don't understand much about game development or how things work at all.

People made constructive threads, showed pictures and besides that, 2K probably only did that because they got rushed to release 2k17 in a shorter dev cycle, which was easy to see since their previous year was just fine.

Lol Mike Wang took "non sense" like this from the Twitter community back to 2k 12 times last year

Hence, the 12 patches, most of them because of people with Twitter fingers complaining nonstop.

Does that mean we should just complain non stop? No. But if LD2k says he'll be taking feedback on the new cap system back to the producers, I'm sure he'll be taking feedback back to the producers

I am with 23 on this one. The outrage has been sufficiently voiced, suggestions have been made, and now the thread is just turning into a ****show.

We're just voicing our opinions the same way people was doing with Gameplay, Park, and MyTeam...no difference. However, even if we was to finish this thread tonight...once Friday come and theirs no day 1 patch for a new CAP system and if we haven't heard anything from 2k saying that they will fix this? Best believe it's gone be Litty Again!

It may not be a popular opinion, but I much prefer this system to what we had. I'm a big ML guy and those generated players were awful looking. In addition to being terrible, they all kinda looked the same. It sucked the immersion right out for me. Now I really hope they can patch in sculpting as it was for those guys who liked it. I really do. But do not replace it with what it was. Barkley, Reggie and missing Legends aren't worth that to me. I don't much care for about draft class players looking like their real self.

It's more so the fact you can't really differentiate how they look now since the presets can't really be altered in any meaningful way. The CAP's looked awful and didn't blend in with scanned players before, but for a MyLeague guy like myself I could at least make a draft class that had some form of individuality. Im actually more afraid now, what happens if your a couple season in your myleague ? Will all the generated players end up looking the same ? I mean with so little customizing options available generated players probably end up with the same face and then you end up with a ton of duplicate looking players. I wonder how well this has been tested, did they sim 1 season and say lets use it or did they sim a couple seasons like 8 or 9 ?
