If you were good at using it they looked good. I used to be horrible but I actually became pretty damn good at making CAPs by the end of the year because of how much time I spent on Draft Classes

Now they go and do something like this where someone like me, who creates 75+ players in each class and was planning on doing 8-10 classes this year, is gonna have 50+ players in his league that look exactly the same before the year 2030

Why's there less customization for hairstyles??

I thought maybe the facial hair accuracy could help cover up the in accurate CAPs but now idk...

The beards are awful and the fact that we cant sculpt no more everyone is going to have a big forehead with these haircuts.
Even facial hair took a hit? This is just a massive downgrade on all fronts. You could have over 100 different facial hair combinations before (with different variations of stubbles, beards/goatees, and moustaches).

        Now the limit is 30.

        Awesome.

Man... I'm not usually one to complain in the 2K forums, but wtf were they thinking? The whole point of having roster sharing, draft class editing, my league, all of these huge features that have made 2K such a big hit across all genres of basketball/video game fans is customization. Now they have basically killed a huge chunk of that? I just don't understand the point of it.

Even if it was far from perfect, at least you had the ability to create the game the way you wanted to play it. You want realistic draft classes for the future you got it. Create missing players, create historic players, create fictional players, retro roster sets, fictional draft classes, etc etc... Why would they, and seemingly purposefully at that, kill all of that?

The hair/facial hair options have been horrible for a long time, and now they reduce them even more? At least they were serviceable in the past. Can't change skin tones? Only preset faces that for the most part likely look nothing like the person you actually wanted to create.. Just from a logical standpoint this move makes absolutely zero sense.

I obviously have some bias here because myself, in particular, play this game largely to create custom rosters. Mostly with past players being a large part of that.. But even for someone who plays without past players, it's still killed options for them as well. I can't see how this move actually helps anyone, of any age, why make such a large aspect of the game noticeably worse? I could understand no improvements, but to regress intentionally? WTF.

I think it would be easier to swallow if player creation wasn't passable in last years game, getting worse makes it tough. That coupled with the fact that creating a likeness to someone on other games (even other 2K games) completely blows this out of the water. 2K does lots of things great, but this aspect of they game has suffered for quite some time. And now they make it worse..

Have you guys seen this video from FranchisePlay?

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

MLB The Show lets you edit pants sizes and sleeve lengths.

There's a lot of guys in the NBA who wears shorter shorts and tighter jerseys. It's about time that's included in the edit screen.

Short shorts are in the game (legends). Let us put those shorts on current guys.

The 2k devs need to go play FIFA and the Show. Look at all the options for hair and faces in FIFA. Look at all the options for uniforms and accessories in the show.

No excuse for 2k to literally be two generations behind both games in this department. FIFA 2010 has a better character creator.

This is extremely disappointing to me. The myplayer mode is ****ing garbage this year. The story is abhorrent, unskippable and cringe worthy. At least I thought myleague and mygm would keep my attention but now it looks like the same 25 guys will be in every draft class every year with no way to change it. I thought 2k15-17's character creator was awful but this is lolworthy.

This whole thing is so bad, they owe us an explanation.

It's beyond embarrassing, and a giant slap in the face to the 2K community.

                              Has this been linked yet?

                              <div style="position:relative;height:0;padding-bottom:56.21%"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dOO_5pKQSDY?ecver=2" style="position:absolute;width:100%;height:100%;le ft:0" width="641" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

I have a feeling that 2K18, the CAP system is all about having presets, then making slight adjustments to these presets according to whatever 2K wants.

It means there are no hideous neanderthals, but it also means more limited customisation in terms of how your players look.
