Just played a proam game. Pre-game shoot around was dunking like in my court.

Game starts nothing but layups, even on wide open breaks and lanes...Fun.

It is still an issue for me. I was super hyped for this game, but until this is fixed I feel like 2k ripped me off for $60 for the game and $100 on VC as well as countless hours to grind for badges on a broken player.

With a wide open lane and plenty of turbo it goes like this - layup,layup,layup,layup,layup,dunk,layup,layup,lay up,layup,layup,layup then there will be one random absurd contact dunk in traffic when I can't even attempt an uncontested dunk.

In team practice I don't even dunk 10% of the time with a wide open lane. Even between the drills in team practice I can barely dunk.

Dunks are rare enough that it always surprises me when it actually happens.

I think something is wrong or maybe tendency maybe I dunno




but I have a sg 6'6 SC/Slasher and I dunk all the time or do dunk attempt in traffic cuz my posturize badge still bronze


I only have 1 contact dunk package and when I dunk I always pull the right stick back for flashy dunk and it seems to work for me I don't know if that might help !

I havent been in the thread since they fixed and it started working for me, but to the people asking about Poster...even bronze helps. I was only halfway before the fix, and after I got at least one a game in traffic. After the post badge im up to 3 a game or so. I still am dunking less on breaks and openlanes than Id like, about 60% (3 dunks/2 layups) on avg ingame but thats prob. screwed tendencies

We're looking into this, guys. Dunking was dialed back on purpose this year for all non slashing builds to balance out the archetypes but some builds (especially PGs) were hit too hard. It should be fixed soon.

Dunking is not a problem for me anymore it's just that my guy will only do flashy dunks even if I hold the right stick up

It's such an obvious problem and there's really not much to debate about. If your player isn't experiencing this problem how can you sit here and argue for it not to change? Be happy you can dunk and go enjoy the game. For those of us who made slasher archetypes, so far we've wasted plenty of time and vc

Agreed. They don't have the problem so they don't see the issue. I bought 8 dunk packages and they only work during shoot around its upsetting

I think the problem is only for Point Guards, even Slasher PGs arent dunking when the opportunity presents itself

What's your build?

I have a sg slashing playmaker that will do a clutch reverse in traffic but will still do layups when I'm by myself on a fast break. I think the normal dunks in mycareer are broken for some players.

To represent sim style game play, point guards should not be dunking so much. For a trade off, they should finish well around the rim in all facets. Even Westbrook isn't having over 3 dunks in a game.

It's not so much about per game dunks as the opportunities. If there's bad defense and fast breaks, you better believe Westbrook is going to try to break the rim off 10 times a game.. There's times in this game where it's made me do a layup, even though the defender is 3-5 steps behind me, and I still miss the layup because apparently you miss layups whenever anyone is anywhere in your vicinity, that I wouldn't have even shot if I knew my guy wasn't going to dunk the damn ball. Very annoying.

I am sorry but if you are open and are a slashing archetype, you should be dunking, regardless of position. For a PG to be singled out is not acceptable.

I am a pass first PG, but when the opportunity presents itself to finish my player needs to be able to finish.

My build is 6-5 slashing playmaker with stock weight. I am 88 overall with 20 badges. I would have not sunk the time and money into a player who is attempting wide open layups. It makes no sense.

My guy dunks fine in mycourt, pregame practice. But in any mode that matters like proam, park, cpu games, team practice it is almost always a layup.
