For those of you still struggling with this, I just read that when you get over 90 and get GM provolodgea, you get to see your tendencies. On a slasher primary and playmaking secondary, it will show a 25 for your driving dunk. For perspective: Steph Curry has a 45 driving dunk. It's officially a 2k mistake.

So from the time they "fixed" it to yesterday I would maybe do a contact dunk once every couple games, my vertical goes up from a cap breaker and now I'm getting 4-5 contact dunks a game.

It appears you are able to see your My Player tendencies at 90 overall. This reddit user revealed that at 90 overall he was able to see that his Slashing Playmaker was limited to 25 for Driving Dunk tendency.

PLAYMAKER is his Primary archetype.

It would help to build a case if a handful of us contribute their findings in a consolidated thread like this one containing the various affected users.

Shouldn't matter if he's a pg, or playmaker first or whatever. 25 driving dunk with slasher in your build is unacceptable. So 2k when you tell me attributes matter they really don't if you handicap us like that

Cool. I'm trying to isolate what the issue is, So we can get 2k to fix it, like the relentless finisher glitch last year. So, instead of coming in half cocked, repeating the same thing, let's actually try to figure it out. Also, he is a playmaker first, that could mean something.

Basically, you're not helping with what you keep doing. We were able to figure out what was causing missed layups last year by discussion, experiments, and research. 2k fixed it based on this forum. Every single bit of info can help(position, archetype, etc). So if you don't plan on doing anything but complain, then it's time to bow out of this thread.

The VC thing? Honestly don't care. Haircuts are free after the first season if you win docs bet. I've bought most of what I'll rock outfit wise for the year, and I probably will stick with one character all year.

2k isn't obligated to fix anything just like you're not ENTITLED to whatever you think you are. But last year there was a glitch related to layups and relentless finisher. We got it fixed. By that I mean OS. We LITERALLY got them to fix something. So, I've seen it happen once, it can happen again. Sorry you weren't around or weren't paying attention l, but that goes a long way.

We didn't accomplish that by whining, calling them scumbags, and generally acting like petulant children. One user figured out what was going on, did several experiments, was able to PROVE it, and they fixed it. We can try to do that, but instead of asking questions, or trying to correlate if things are related to low tendancies, and not dunking, we have people like you whining about how it's "unacceptable".

It is not. That's why I'm asking what builds and what position the tendancy guy is. I'll hit 90 this weekend. If it's not 25, then we can start narrowing down what builds have that as a tendancy. If we can figure out a common theme, we may be able to isolate what's causing it, or why it's that way.

I get how frustrated you guys are. And I know I'm coming off more pompous than I intend, and I am sorry for that. At least if we can figure this out maybe we can close the case on this. It won't ease your feelings towards 2k, but it's a step towards closure.

That's my point though. It is unacceptable that we have to go through all of this nonsense to figure out a problem that shouldn't be there in the first place. I just want 2k to be the best game it can be and year after year you deal with so many problems it does become frustrating

What makes this painstaking however is the overall requirement of a 90 which is not easily attainable.

You will make very little effort to reach 90 if your dunk tendency is already so low (25) so most users will have moved on to a different build before we can confirm their dunk tendency is what is limiting their dunk frequency.

I also noticed this same build in the reddit link has a 2 for his Standing Dunk tendency. He's 6ft6 and has a 2 for Standing Dunk tendency - that's a waste of a Standing Dunk rating on a player his size with Slashing in his playstyle DNA.

I didn't dwell on the Overall impression until hours after I posted but again this reality is a setback. Not enough folks are going to grind to 90 and continue to invest in a build - that should be dunking but is not - just to build a case for 2K. 2K might not even have any inkling to go into these specific build tendencies and rectify the issue at the core so future users are not affected by the same bottleneck tendency.

It's a pity a predetermined tendency rating is affecting users to this great of a length. I understand there was a slider tweak adjusted by Beluba concerning dunk tendencies but it is apparent that this specific issue with a tendency rating being this low is still extremely limiting users from triggering driving dunk attempts.

Well, and that's the thing. I'm seeing mostly PG players. Most seem to be playmaker first, aswell. I'm wondering if dunk tendancy for PGs and playmakers is incredibly low by default to the point that it's canceling out, and in some cases over riding the boost it gets from the secondary type slasher. You only get a small boost from your second archetype, so it's plausible.

Based on how 17 worked, there's no reason I should be dunking and another 6'4 of a similar archetype shouldn't be, regardless of position. That could have changed though. I'm 25% off 90, I'll grind it out. I'm very curious to what my tendancy is.
