Have said this a few times, but my player who is definitely having the issue, is a 6'4 Playmaking Slasher, day one (early release) build. I'll know more about tendencies when he hits 90 in a day or two.

That's my exact build, from the prelude. Running an SG 6'4 Playmaking Slasher. You're a 1 guard, right?

I'm a shot creator/slasher who had the problem, I haven't played in over a week so it may have been fixed but I feel the VC stuff went too far so I just stopped playing 2K after I blew my $ on a broken player, I like the gameplay for the most part but I got demoralized spending $ on MyPlayer (grinded to 88 b4 I stopped). Luckily I have a LOT of games to play and I sincerely hope everyone gets their players fixed.

Oh yeah, 6'4" PG as well (for anyone compiling data)

Well, and that's the thing. I'm seeing mostly PG players. Most seem to be playmaker first, aswell. I'm wondering if dunk tendancy for PGs and playmakers is incredibly low by default to the point that it's canceling out, and in some cases over riding the boost it gets from the secondary type slasher. You only get a small boost from your second archetype, so it's plausible.

Based on how 17 worked, there's no reason I should be dunking and another 6'4 of a similar archetype shouldn't be, regardless of position. That could have changed though. I'm 25% off 90, I'll grind it out. I'm very curious to what my tendancy is.

Out of the 80+ comments, I did takeaway from the discussion that there are a number of SG builds also affected including builds outside of the Slashing Playmaker mold.

Many of these users have yet to reach 90 Overall and a few have already expressed they have no desire to go that distance let alone continue using their build which they deem to be broken.

Maybe 25 is a default tendency rating and the Create a MyPlayer crew simply forgot or overlooked this tendency among others in a number of builds. It can all be chalked up to human error but in this business we do epexct fixes for these matters.

The time and money needed to reach 90 overall is quite significant for this video game. It's worth a resolution. Some tendencies come out in such minute details that they would be hard to notice as an issue but Driving Dunk is easily noticed. There are some builds apparently getting too juiced on Driving Dunk tendencies so there is also that opposite extreme.

Anyhow, it's up to their paid staff to look after these matters. They are paid to get these tendencies right.

So, I was in the mid 60s on driving dunk. Actually tendancies were spot on to how I played. So...How many of you guys dunked in the prelude? Hearing about the rookie difficulty glitch, I think that the prelude really affected stuff more than we think.

My first play in it was throwing down a lob, so, perhaps if it was a ton of layups your tendancies got skewed. Our player tendancies change based on our actions, so it's entirely possible that doing a ton of lay ups in the prelude screwed your tendancies to be more along that line.

I'm looking to be an above average three point shooter and be able to dunk consistently. If anybody has a build that can do that lmk please. When I say dunk consistently I mean on a fast break or when the lane is open. Not the old stop in my tracks to do a layup that gets blocked maneuver.

The thing that makes no sense here is why, hanz. Why can 2 people have the exact same build and one not have this problem while the other does? Why is it happening to some people across multiple characters and some it's fixed as soon as they start a new guy?

There's something else going on here, that's not just tied to an error on 2k's part. I also feel like this is one of those situations where there's a "catch 22" here, because it shouldn't be hard to fix or regulate, especially if it's just a tendancy.

Like, I'm with you on the lack of data, and why there's a lack, but surely we cannot dismiss the fact that there's several things not adding up here. That being said, there's one truth that I'll keep coming back to: Give people their damn closure. If this is how it's supposed to be, come out and say it. If it's a bug, at least say you're working on it.

I'm still stubbronly holding onto my broken, 90 rated, max dunks/vertical 6'4 slashing playmaker who sometimes dunks, but with no real rhyme or reason. Not sure why I'm holding out. Anyone know anybody besides "2ksupport"? I've been awaiting several responses from them, 22 days now. FUN!

To be the same build I'd consider that they are the same by position, archetype setup, height and weight, and wingspan.

I don't know anyone with the exact same builds experiencing extremely different dunking tendencies. I don't think this is intentional on a whole front. There are Association players in My Team and Official Roster who are known to posterize but 2K has given them extremely low Driving Dunk tendencies. It's affecting those users the same way as My Player users here.

I do think they want to reduce dunk tendencies because Beluba has said that but he himself also added not to this effect so I consider this as part of "not to this effect".

Following your lead, what variable(s) do you imagine is/are causing two individuals with the same build to experience extremely different rates on driving dunking tendencies? While here, I think the conflict is also due to the global tendencies that Beluga can control for each mode. Without changing the characters tendency: raising the global tendency can cause others to continue to dunk but at a more extreme rate which already seems to be the case.

It'll be a constant juggle act until you get the character to a sensible rating on his tendency. I understand your impression is different and you hold out belief that it could be a different underlying factor and I will hold that as a possibility as well. I'll point to tendency for now because that's the only evidence I'm ready to accept until someone has a 25 driving dunk tendency and is driving dunking at a rate far higher than that (75% or higher).

I'm over it, I keep coming to this thread every few days to see if it's fixed but I'm not playing a slashing build that won't dunk. I wasted $ on contact dunk animations for no reason. I'll play something else.

I'm not having anymore problems really. I equipped all the dunk packages I could (MJ, Lavine, etc.) and got enough dunks to get bronze posterizer and I dunk on people a decent percentage now. This is with my 6'4 Slashing Playmaker PG, so if you are still having trouble, maybe try some of those packages and hang in there.
