Wait, just so I understand. If we only are 30 games into our season when this hot fix/patch that fixes the 7 foot PGs and the Euro Stash stuff, we won't have to re-start? I'm just trying to figure out if I should wait to start my MyGM or if I'm good to go (I get in about 5 games a week, so no way I'm getting through a season in the next month).

I don't think even Dave or the team can answer for sure yet.

If I had to guess, there will be some updated MyGM/MyL code via patch sometime in the first two weeks of October. Then people with the game will have to run some more tests as QA to get feedback to Dave and the crew.

I would guess there will be some things that still need to be cleaned up at that point but hope the mode is mostly stable by then, especially for people who play MyL who can edit. Then another set of hopefully final fixes can come out around Halloween or not too long after.

That's all speculation on my part. Hopefully MyGM/MyL will be fixed and playable with user edits and user workarounds by the third week of October.

Again, this all just me guessing based on previous years and based on how much there is to fix and test with this year's out of the box game for these modes.

Not as of yet. I think a dev came here and said this would be in the patch, so it should be fixed whenever this next patch drops, hopefully anyway.

Yeah, Dave couldn't guarantee what patch any fixes would be in - that's not his decision to make. So we hope there's help in the next patch, but it would be too much to say we absolutely should expect it.

So, now that we have the patch notes, here's what I posted in the patch 3 thread:

Nothing here on MyGM/MyLeague draft class talent balancing, player tendency fixes, the left ankle injury bug, or player salaries and team salary cap balancing over time.

That doesn't mean there's been nothing done. It's just those are the areas off the top of my head that guys here have said need work.

Gonna need some testing after the patch drops.

Can you make sure to also tackle the high amounts asked for and paid to decent-but-not-great potential players coming off their rookie deals and/or being 25-28 years old ? The few instances of a Chris Paul signing to cheap are much less of a nuisance in actual game play/league development than the many instances of teams like the Suns extending all their former draft picks for insane amounts and ending up with a 200 mio payroll .

Can you also make sure to bring across that one of the major issues with the renouncing bug (and Qualifying Offers not being extended !!!) is, that it even happens on User controlled teams ? That's a big time issue as well, so even adjusting the mechanic please make sure that the game is not actually taking over decision making on user controlled teams, which it currently 100% is doing.

Whoops, created a new thread and overlooked this one. I'm going to post here in case mine gets shut down as redundant.

I'm struggling to resign Jimmy Butler in my second offseason, and can't figure out why. Any ideas? (default Cap settings btw)









How do I have more Luxury Tax room than Hard Cap room?

Edit: It seems a cap hold counts twice when re-signing a player, is that how holds are supposed to work? ex: To re-sign a player for $30mil who also has a cap hold of $30mil, you would need at least $60mil in cap space.

I was able to re-sign Butler after renouncing the rights to Gibson then signing Butler for only $26.07 the first year. My hard cap room increased after signing him, because it was for less than his cap hold.

This could explain why the Warriors were completely unable to re-sign Durant in the first offseason, and perhaps why so many free agents go unsigned in later years.

Regarding the current save stuff with the patch...

Specifically with the Eurostash players getting duplicated and this duplication causing draft classes to get borked (when the players would get duped, it'd mess up the tables, so you'd have someone that was a PG, but he'd kinda move down a line and get all the attributes of a guy would may have been another position, such as a Center)... if your current save is still in the first season, this save should be fine to use as the bug hasn't happened yet. If you've already advanced to the point where one of these draft and stash players have been drafted and the duplication bug happens, then that save won't and can't be fixed by this or future patches.

We haven't done anything else with the draft classes, as we won't really be able to get good feedback from you guys until after things are played with the current patch so we know the issues are legit and not just something caused by the tables getting mis-aligned...

Follow up Free Agency question: Why does it say I renounced the rights of my two-way contract players (tweets on right side)? I never had the option to tender a qualifying offer to these guys.



Also, I've noticed no teams actually sign players to two-way contracts, so I'm thinking of stopping myself. Not to mention, actually keeping a player in the G-League for the requisite amount of time upsets them to the point of zero morale.

So is the issue of the CPU renouncing rights (even with everything set to manual in a 30 team controlled MyLeague), as well as other CPU overriding decisions (such as declining to extend QO's) still being looked into?

But if you turn hard cap off doesn't the CPU start signing guys for insane numbers?
