Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
For Deng, yeah you’re gonna have to ship out a pretty good player. You can kill 3 birds with one stone in this trade
LAL Receives:
Andre Drummond
Luis Montero
2018 1st Round Pick (Top 10 Protected)
DET Receives:
Luol Deng
Julius Randle
2020 1st Round Pick (Top 5 Protected)
2018 2nd Round Pick (via DEN)
Lakers receive the dominant big man center, shed Dengs contract, and get a moderately likely first round pick.
Detroit receives a very intriguing prospect PF prospect where they are weak, trade away Drummond who they have grown less than fond of for his effort on the defensive end and free throw shooting, and gets a couple trade chips or potential future players when they blow this whole thing up because the SVG era isn’t working.
Or for 3point shooting,
LAL Receives:
Wayne Ellington
MIA Receives:
Corey Brewer
2018 2nd Round Pick (via DEN)
A sniper from 3 on a one year deal, who won’t cost much besides a matching expiring in Brewer, who probably isn’t playing much for you, but gives MIA a veteran defensive wing, and a second round pick.
Or
LAL Receives:
Joe Johnson
UTA Receives:
Corey Brewer
2020 1st Round Pick (Lottery Protected)
Pretty good 3 point shooter, and a good all around scorer. To compensate though, he costs a little more because Utah will miss his scoring and Brewer isn’t gonna replicate it. By 2020 the pick will hopefully be in the mid 20’s
As far as a wing defender,
LAL Receives:
Tony Allen
2018 2nd Round Pick
NOP Receives:
Josh Hart
Allen’s old, but still rocking it defensively. He can lock down perimeter players for a year, and gives you cap flexibility to sign a younger option for a perimeter defender. Pelicans need wings, and Josh Hart is a young cheap scoring wing who could be a part of their future long term.
If you want Okafor,
LAL Receives:
Jahlil Okafor
PHI Receives:
Corey Brewer
2018 2nd Round Pick (via DEN)
2019 2nd Round Pick (via MIA)
Expiring veteran leadership, couple second rounders as a trade chip or potential gems and FINALLY GETTING RID OF OKAFOR!
LA gets a scoring big man who’s young enough to develop as a player and if he doesn’t show enough, can be let go at the end of the year
Hope I could help!
I also think that Hart/Allen trade is not a good one. Hart has the potential to be really solid defensively as well as contribute much more than Allen can offensively.Comment

Thank you so much man!(I live getting these type of detailed replies!)
I'm definitely feelin the Allen and Okafor trades you mentioned!.... still not sure what to do with the other guys? I honestly would like to keep Randal, I just don't think he's worth his (expected) askin price🤔😧
Any 3 team trade ideas?
Somethin that would ship out Lopez and get Reddick in return?
When you look at the lakers with Lopez and then 76ers with JJ the main thing they have going for them is they are on the last year. Both of those teams want the salary off the books to try and sign the top FA's this past offseason. They aren't going to trade either and take on Deng's contract unless you throw someone in like Ingram and good draft pick.
Maybe if you get to the trade deadline and the 76 / LA are out of the playoff race you get add the bucks as a 3rd team. They could ship out Monroe and 2nd or something. The Bucks seems like a decent spot for Lopez to sign back.
I still don't really love the deal for the 76ers as they are weak at SG, but I am bored at work and wanted to attempt one of these lol. I used this link for the salaries https://www.basketball-reference.com...s/players.html

76ers would never trade JJ for Monroe, there's simply no need for him.
We already have Embiid, Saric, Richaun and Amir (even Ben Simmons, really) at the big men positions.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
I just don't see any realistic way the 76ers would trade JJ as they are weak at SG and then the cap flexibility that he gives them. Even if you get someone like Avery Bradley from the Pistons his contract is up and you would have to pay him big $. Do you see a way ?Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

I am not as good at coming up with specific trades like others, but I am hooked on this kinda stuff and it seems like you are also.

So the 76ers came out (irl) sayin they lookin for a 2nd(or two 2nds) for Okafor...i might just give them the two 2nds (like suggested in previous comments) that would leave me with Okafor and zubic aka 2blocks to play the 5 for years to come! .... which makes slo'pez more expendable.
With Tristin Kardashian being out for a month, an Cavs already in need of a true center.....
What about a 3 team trade?
Cavs get:
Lopez
76ers get:
Jr smith(they still have wade and shump at the 2)
(Maybe throw in a ) 2nd rounder
Lakers get:
Reddick

It’s a mess, and not quite what you asked for, but it’s what I could come up with while hurting my brain. Please anyone give me input on this as it’s my first 3 team trade idea
LAL Receives:
JJ Reddick
Quinn Cook
Nicolas Brussino
2018 1st Round Pick (Top 5 Protected) via HOU
2019 1st Round Pick (Swap Worst with PHI)
ATL Receives:
Corey Brewer
Ivica Zubac
Timothy Luwawu-Cabarrot
2018 PHI 2nd Round Pick [Swap Best LAC)
2020 2nd Round Pick (via LAL)
PHI Receives:
Jordan Clarkson
Marco Bellinelli
2019 1st Round Pick (Swap Best with LAL)
Whew! Now that that’s out of the way, let’s break it down
The Lakers give up a LOT in this trade, but get an elite sniper from 3 and still retain their oh so juicy cap flexibility for the offseason. The two ATL players are for roster matching purposes, but they have contracts expiring this year as well. Receive 2 first rounders, a late HOU Pick in this upcoming draft, and a pick Swap with Philly in 2019.
Atlanta gives up an expiring Bellinelli, two deep bench players, and a late first from Houston, but gain a matching expiring in Brewer, and two prospects in Zubac and Cabarrot that could fill positions of need in the Hawks future lineup. They also receive 2 second rounders, a trade chip, or a lot more chances at gems.
Philly gets help at SG (where someone in the thread pointed out they were weak) in Bellinelli, who is also an expiring and Clarkson, who could be the future 2/PG when Fultz sits. Contract isn’t cheap, but he’s a good young player who can fill multiple roles for the Sixers present and future. Philly also gets the better side of the Pick Swap with LA.
If this isn’t quite what you’re thinking, I can try and come up with a Lopez involved 3 team trade as wellComment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
JR Smith is under a horrible contract that last for several more years so the 76ers wouldn't take him back. The Cavs have been trying to unload Shumpert for a long time, but I think he has a player option and has 0 value.

I like the trade here even though yea its a little confusing with all the pics lol and
Clarkson on the 76ers is a good fit as adds much needed depth and should still allow them to sign a star player. He could either start or come off the bench and Marco (if your using the latest roster) can give them some 3's in the JJ role
I am a hawks fan so the trade is nothing to excited about on there end, but they didn't really give up anything of value and got some pieces that could be useful off the bench.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Glad I didn’t make a terrible trade! If the Lakers are making a push for the playoffs and Philly is not in MyLeague, I might just have to make this trade myself, it’s definitely interesting and I like coming up with tradesComment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys, when the game updated and all pictures were also updated, i restarted my save with the Bulls ( some pictures updated on my old save others didn't )
Tanked first season and got pick #2, took Luka, now on FA, Aaron Gordan accepted my offer and magics didn't match, only on day 1 of that 3 day thing tho! should i sign him? does he play SF or is only a PF? i just stop playing the 2nd he accepted and wasn't match, Offered Paker to but Bucks Match....
Need trade idea's for Robert Covington
Keep in mind, trading for him means i gotta re-sign him....
want him to back up or start next to LaVine, if Luka isn't doing to good at the moment or hurt....
Thanks

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Robert Covington in Philadelphia would be a good fit, especially if they get a talent like Michael Porter for him. Covington is one of the best defenders, defends multiple positions and can shoot the 3. I think he is due for an extension or already got one in your league, so you might have to trade Lopez or another large salary to match but I think they would be happy with this
Already suggested to you how it would work. Otherwise if he hasn’t signed an extension, Portis since he’s cheap and a way in the future Protected First should be enough. If you’re signing Aaron Gordon he’ll be the 4 and RoCo will be the 3 so Portis becomes expendable
