So for the first time I started up a 30 team my league after being a My GM guy and I am completely hooked. I have excel spreadsheets and notes and spend my whole day thinking of trades to make lol. So expect me to post a lot more in here when I am killing time at work.

Its December 1st and the Knicks are awful with a record of 3-18 so already 7.5 games out of the 8th playoff spot.

What are some trades i could make using McDermitt, Kuzminski, and Session about 11.7 in expiring salary. Then you have Baker and Quinn are about around 4.3 with a player options for next year.

What are some big picture trades I could make with them ?


Bucks get Kanter,

Knicks get Monroe, 1st round pick

* Maybe the Bucks could unload one of the overpriced guys for expiring deals



Lakers get expiring deals and Quinn

Knicks get Deng, Clarkson and Nance/ Randall
* Lakers are 2 games out of the 8th seed


Trailblazers get Kanter

Knicks get 1st in 18, one of the overpaid SF and something else
*trailbalzers are currently 6th in east - The knicks have a big hole at SF and it allows more playing time for Willy and a draft pick. The TB get some scoring downlow and remove the log jam at SF.

What do you yall think is the proper compensation for a team that takes on a bad contract ? I want to have a few of teams go into larger rebuilds making them the threats years down the line instead of just being stuck in the middle

A few Random Examples, I am asking more in general then about these 2 deals specifically.

PF Ilysova

*12.6 Million of expiring Salary

Hawks Get
Tyson Chandler
2019 lottery Protected 1st round pick

* 2 years for 26 million

Ian Mahinmi
2019 top 5 Protected 1st round pick
Future 2nd round pick

* 3 years for 48 million

Wizards Get
Robin Lopez

* 2 years for 28 million

First one makes no sense since Suns are rebuilding and giving up valuable assets while Chandler is still solid center and veteran presence.

Second one is okay.

I was looking at it more for what the Hawks could do then the suns trade specifically. They are plenty of teams that could use the salary cap relief that have players on bad 2 year deals

Cavs - Shumpert & JR Smith (2k has it has a team option for 3rd year)
Bucks - Teletovic
Trailblazers - Farouq Aminu
Magic - Ross
Nets - Carroll
Nuggets - Arthurt / Chandler (po for both)
Wizards - Gortat / Jason Smith
Pacers - T. Young

Add in Henson and Delly to that Bucks list. With Milwaukee getting Bledsoe, they now have Bledsoe, Brogdon, and Middleton that can run point, so basically 0 need for Delly.

Deng cannot be cleared without multiple 1st rounders + top4 LAL prospects (JC, BI, Randle, Ball).

Yea Like 8K said you will have to either trade a two 1st, take on a bad salary or give him up a few of the young prospects to even make it possible. Just look at the Mozgiv and Russell trade as a example.

This exactly. They were just talking about this the other night. Probably have to include someone like Randle with him to make it even a possibility, or 1st Round picks and if your doing a rebuild you probably want those picks.

Randall as far as 2K goes doesn't have a lot of value to me since his rating Is what mid 70's and he will need to be paid this offseason. Nance would have more value since he has a extra year under his rooking contract.

Even if you offer the following no team is going to eat up 30 million of deals for at best a overpaid guy and 2 role players. Ingram doesn't develop into that special in 2K from what I can see either and the draft pick will be a few years down the road.

Deng (18 per for 3 years)
Clarkson (12 mil3for 3 years left)
Nance
1st round pick

Ok I think I've figured it out (both are CPU teams)

Hawks Get
Matthew Delladova (3 years 28 million)
Mele Teletovic (2 year 21 mil) (or Henson with worse contract)
18 lottery protected 1st round pick

The Hawks are in rebuild mode and are going to have a top 10 pick. Delly gives them a upgrade at backup PG who is a good fit with Coach Bud's system with his D and shooting. The lottery protected first is the gift the Hawks get for taking on Teletovic / Delly's bad contract. This potential gives the hawks 4 1st round picks which can be used to either move up in the draft or another trade down the line.


Bucks Get
C Dewayne Deadman (player option for 6.3 million )
PF Eryan Ilsysova (6 million expiring contract)

After the Bledsoe trade Delladova's is making to much $ for a 3rd PG and the roster is guard / wing heavv. The extension of Parker is coming and they are desperate to shed some salary. Dedman gives them the rebounding and defense they need down low while working for cheap. Eryan is a stretch 4 who will be the highest rated PF until Parker gets back. Overall this would save them about 13 million $ and fill the biggest need on the team

If I manually changed Dengs contract (lower the value, then release him) would that work on the payroll? Or would I still owe full contract value? .... guess a buyout work around

I have come to the conclusion that I need a scoring SF for my Bulls association.

I am willing to move everyone bar Markkanen and LaVine.

I am about 23 games into the season and have come to a stark realisation that I couldn’t hit water if I fell out to f a boat with Valentine or Mirotic.

What are some SF/PF or SF/SG that I could target? I will have stats for my guys and standings up in a second
