Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Hi, as I'm relatively new to 2K (played some 2k12 and 2k15) and the NBA in general, I could use some help on trades I want to do.
I chose the Bulls (MyLeague, just controlling them) trying to rebuild them around LaVine and Markkanen. Right now, obviously, I want to gather young assets and some picks.
As I read in the earlier pages of the thread, I'll trade Robin Lopez alongside Valentine to the Pelicans for Moore, Ajinca and a (lottery/Top10 or even Top5?) protected 2018 Firstrounder.
So, is there some team that could use Nikola Mirotic? What could I get for him?
Also, I'd like to get rid of Felicios contract as he won't be any near to an important role in my team.
Except LaVine, Markkanen and my Firstrounders 18 + 19, everyone and everything in my team is expendable.^^Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
How does this trade look. It’s a three team deal between Boston, LA Clippers and Sacramento.
Boston trades: Rozier, Nader, Baynes
Boston gets: Vince Carter, Montrezl Harrell, Willie Reed
Kings trade: Carter, Frank Mason
Kings get: Baynes, Nader
LA trades Harrell, Reed
LA gets: Rozier, Mason
I am Boston. I get some depth bigs while getting an old scorer vet for the playoff run. The kings get some help down low with Baynes while only trading old VC. Clippers get Rozier who they have been after hard, for Harrell and Reed.
I might even ask for a late first rounder from someone
Am I on the right track with this one?

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
As a Kings fan I don't see a reason why they would do it. First of all: With Willie, Skal and Papa they already have 3 young centers plus Z-Bo of course. And then they give up Mason, who is viewed as a guard prospect too?
Them trading Vince is realistic, yeah. But they should get back at least a pick or a young guy, even if it is someone who didn't work out at their squad.
But I like the Clippers part of the deal, because Rozier could be a great piece for them and they don't give up that much to get him.Comment

Thanks for your advice! Baynes is in the deal for salary purposes as I’m at the salary cap. Vince has played in one game this season, but you’re right. I should give them a young player or pick as well and maybe change mason to someone else. Maybe a late first or a couple of seconds to the kings as well? Either from me or LAC?

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Using the Bucks, and could really use a center. What would I have to do to get the Suns to swap Tyson for Mirza or even Delly. Contracts are similar handicaps, but I could really use Tyson's defense and rebounding. They have Monroe and Len and some younger guys who would benefit from the extra time. What kind of asset would I have to toss to make a deal fair?Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
My trade question.
I'm doing an LP and i have added two expansion teams. Seattle (me) and Mexico City. This question is for those knowledgeable in NBA value.
MY question was concerning the Lakers. I been hearing rumors they want to trade Jordan Clarkson and Randle. What would be the value for them individually as far in terms of picks? If mexico city wanted to trade for them (bear in mind this is year 1 for them and they really have no players of value to return back. Just throw ins), would say, the Lakers throw in Clarkson or Randle just to get Mexico City to take on Deng's contract or would there have to be more coming back in terms of a player with potential/and or picks.
Number 2. same question with the Knicks and Noah. Would the Knicks throw in something just to get rid of Joakim's contract? a pick? another player?
Side note. Clarkson is performing almost identical in game as in real life and Noah is stuck on bench in NY.
I know these are generalizations. We are real early in the season. I was just doing some hypothetical thinking (and since they're are a lot of people smarter than me on here, thought I would ask the community. Thanks ahead of time for your feedback.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
I need input because I want to trade for a point guard in my Spurs MyLeague. I am thinking Gasol, DeJounte Murray and a 1st round pick.
I am divided between Eric Bledsoe (on Suns) and George Hill. Bledsoe is younger and more dynamic, but Hill is more versatile defensively (can guard 2s) and a better 3 point shooter.
Thoughts on fit, realism, alternatives?
I need someone to join Aldridge and Leonard and help me beat the Warriors and Rockets. Bledsoe’s age is a better fit for Kawhi.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Hey! At first: I'm sorry I'm asking another question instead of giving some advice. I just dont know enough about all this stuff.^^
So, my request: I'm (playing the Bulls in 18/19) considering a trade around Jordan Clarkson. He would be the playmaker from the bench i desperately need or even become my starting PG as Dunn is good, but not set.
I would give up someone like John Collins (21, 79) or Portis (23, 76) or/and a pick (future or 2018 Wizards Lot. protected). Or I could throw in another team to give a young Lakers team some experience.
Is there a chance I could get such a trade done? What would I need to give up? What do the Lakers need, given they are a very talented but not yet succesful (3-7 in season) team?Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
I have put Marcus Smart on the trade block around the New Year and I have received two trade offers so far.
1) Buddy Hield for Smart
This doesn’t make much sense as the Kings are doing bad and Heild suits their rebuild over Smarts expiring contract.
2) Was offered Simmons and 2019 for Smart and a first. Simmons hasn’t worked out for the Magic who find themselves far back of a playoff spot. They placed him on the trade block. He would suit a bench scorer and defender perfect for me. Simmons is averaging 12 PPG and is making 6 mil the next 3 years. Smart is expiring and will give the magic some financial room at free agents.
Does this deal make sense, or will I have to give the first rounder? Smart has a lot of trade value so it’s hard to gauge a fair trade.

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Yea, but I need scoring and Smart I just can’t use. Smart re upping with the magic doesn’t make sense? They get a defensive star and a draft pick. The thunder wouldn’t be able to offer be bench scoring guards unfortunately.
Any other options that you see?

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread
Dealing Smart because he is an expiring is one thing, but to do it for scoring on a team with Irving, Tatum, Brown, Hayward, and Horford is another. I'm not sure what the focus there is or if I missed you doing a fantasy draft, but seems illogical that the best defender on their team is being traded away for something they have plenty of.
If anything, you can try sending him for Tyreke Evans, who is a known trade target right now. You get your scoring/Sixth man role and the Grizzlies somehow have to try and retain smart, and get a great pick in the draft to use a lineup of something like...

Smart
