We’re in a total rebuild, so looking at that main point looking around the league for teams making a push towards the playoffs I see the 76ers in the 6th seed. Missing depth at shooting guard an some playoff/championship experience. (Not saying their headed that far)

    I’m looking to deal

    2018 1st round (Top 3 Protected)
    Branden Knight
    Tyson Chandler

    For

    Jahlil Okafor
    Jerryd Baylees

A lot of money tied up with Knight and Chandler hence sending over a 1st round pick. What you guys think ?

My initial reaction is that I feel like you're giving too much. I get that you want to get rid of Chandler and Knight but I feel like you could get something better since you're probably giving up a quality pick. Okafor is good in 2k but in real life he's not going to get anything close to a top pick. Although, like I said, I get that this move is mostly a salary dump.

For Philly, I actually do like both players on Philly. Knight gives them an okay scorer off of the bench and Chandler's leadership and toughness would be a welcomed addition to any young team. However, the downside is that they have a lot of C/PF's already so I'm not sure they need Chandler. Maybe if they flipped Amir Johnson? However, playing time wise I'd still have Chandler would be behind Embiid (obviously) and Holmes as well. Also, even more of a problem is Knight's contract. It is pretty bad, but I feel like the pick would make it worth it for them. Plus, I believe Chandler's contract comes off the books before Philly has to resign their young guys and Knight's pretty close as well, so I think they take on the cap for the extra asset.

With all of that said, I still think maybe you could find something better. Maybe flip Chandler to a playoff team for an expiring deal and attach a future first to get someone to take Knight. That way you keep your 2018 pick. At the very least. if you really want to make this trade, then maybe make it Top 5 or 10 protected instead (7 would be perfect, imo). I feel like Top 3 is too much, especially since the West is so tough.

lol signing someone to flip them later down the road, doesnt seem that far off! i only looked at him for his stars lol so if you forget who it is, no one would have a problem, i kinda got mad i didn't toss him on a old time team, so no one signed him, so i did it then flip it....

as for the 4 first round picks, it does seem like a lot, but i wasn't gonna use them and wanted someone young with a real name in the game, like some time i dont like when the game cant even say a players name, and just calls them D lol

Dunn, LaVine, Tatum, Gordon seem like a good start for my young Bulls

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread

So after 20 games I did my quarterly evaluation on my team.

Brook Lopez, Ball, Ingram are all playing as I expected them to. So no trades for them.

Randle is putting up 12 pts, 9.1 rbs, 1.8 ast, 1.3 blocks + steals combined on 50.3/39.5/77.8 shooting splits, 1.9 3pa. So he is not getting traded and will expect him to re-sign with LAL this offseason.

Clarkson is putting up 13.8 pts, 1.6 rbs, 4.8 apg, 0.4 steals on 38.9/14.1/89 splits. Definitely looking to offload him before ASG.

KCP is injured but in his 15 games (and mine 15 first or so) he put up 11.3/2.3/1.8 and 0.5 steals per game on 41.3/45.7/75 shooting splits alongside good defense on opponents' best guard. Not getting traded.

Kuzma good prospect and good scorer as well as versatile defender 2-4. Not getting traded

Nance jr plays solid defense at the 4 spot and is efficient on his 7ppg. Not getting traded.

Josh Hart is biggest surprise. Good defense, strong, can defend 1-3 and small 4s (think Rudy Gay). Solid 3pt shot. 2.8 3pa 41.1% from three in 15.3 minutes. Definitely not getting traded, future starting 2guard.

Zubac, solid help defense. Too weak to handle premier big guys like DAJ, Drummond and Gobert. Solid stats. Will see how he develops next few years and see if he can take BroLo's spot in 2 years since I am 100% resigning Brook.

Matt Barnes...handles 3-4 spot. Solid defense and can hit the three. Spot minutes. MWP role from last year. 1 year minimun contract so will not trade.

Bogut is a beast. 7 rebounds, 1 block in 14.5 minutes. Big body, neutralizes every center and is fundamentally sound. Will see how much he regresses and maybe re-sign him.

Deng has not played. Must trade player. So bad I had to sign Matt Barnes to take his minutes.

        So..

Clarkson and Deng are for trade.

I can take on Deng until after Draft.

I wanna package Clarkson for older combo guard that can handle PG spot for 10-15 minutes max and focus on scoring. Possibly older guy on 1 yr contract. Any ideas? Also, what would JC for Hezonja expand on? Picks, players?

Deng is pretty much untradeable unless you take an equally bad contract back. On other websites, I've actually seen ideas of trading Deng in a package with Ingram just to get rid of Deng and open up two max slots in the offseason.

I think my Bulls would take on Deng, but gotta toss them one good player/picks, they got the cap space and know no one in their right mind would sign with them at this point.

Will leave Deng as it is...on the pine.

              How about this.

Magic Trade: Hezonja to LAL / DJ Augustin to Bulls
LAL Trade: Clarkson, Ennis to Magic and 2010 top10 protected 1st rounder
              Bulls trade: Nwaba to Magic

I shed some salary, lose a 1st rounder but get exciting young prospect.

Magic gets better player and a pick.

Bulls get actual point guard and can bench Cameron Payne.

I feel like the Bulls lose pretty big here, only getting back an old PG and losing an intriguing prospect. I think swapping the 1st from going to Orlando to Chicago, or possibly the magic giving a 1st to the Bulls, evens it out. Another possibility would be trading Nance to the Bulls, giving them a prospect along with a PG, but he has been doing well for you and you don’t want to trade him

Guys, if I take Deng bad contract from the Lakers, ( I am Bulls ) which young player can they toss in? That will help me rebuild. I plan to have the Lakers sign PG13 and maybe LeBron James like people think is gonna happen....

I got my starting lineup set, but bench could use some help...I think I might trade for Cory Joseph, to run the 2nd unit.

Cameron Payne is shooting 32-30-64 shooting splits in my game, is rated 71 and IRL he is second worst point guard in the NBA behind Semaj from OKC. Not to mention that probably worst FO is running the Bulls in GarPax.

                      Also source from Bulls stated

“We knew the second practice [after he was acquired] that he couldn’t play at [an NBA] level,’’ the source said. “The only reason it took two practices was because we thought maybe it was nerves in the first one. “Any [Bulls] coach who says differently is lying. . . . We got ‘Garred’ on that one.’’
The source was referring to general manager Gar Forman
Thus...DJ Augustin is actually a vet that knows how to run offense better than Payne. He really is terrible.

Considering that Bulls actually got an upgrade but at longer contract. Is it fair trade?

Nance jr and JC. Yes. Both of them. But that is also 30 mil of contracts.

What do you think about Hezonja trade above?

Not really a trade but need trade/free agency related help.

I'm waiting for more patches and roster updates before I start My League but wanted to sim a season to work out how (as OKC) I can manage the Melo and George contract situation.

So I simmed the whole season (no trades) and we got to the conference finals. I did nothing in the draft. I offered no contracts to other players but George and Melo wanted to test free agency.

Now, with those two off the books the roster is at $91 million. How do the cap holds work? I'm more than a little confused as what to do. I can't offer Melo or George what they want as it says I'd be over the hard cap - where would I see what that figure is?

I can't offer any other decent players contracts because I'm only $8 million under the cap.

So when I play this properly, do I have no choice but to trade George and Melo during the season? Or am I missing something.

Yup, I was missing something. I renounced Melo's $39 million cap hold and then I had space to resign George. So when I play properly I need to consider moving Melo before the trade deadline.

I am experimenting with Philly and have two scenarios I need help with.

#1 Play Ben at the 4. This requires me to trade for at least one(maybe 2 for depth) 3 and D wings. I have my sights set on Rodney Hood, Caris Levert and Maurice Harkless.

#2 Play Ben at the 3. I would need 1 3 and D wing and one stretch 4 for depth. The same three wings above fit what I'm looking for again and additionally, I have my eyes on Bobby Portis, Marquese Chriss and DJ Wilson.

I am wiling to give up anyone not named Embiid, Simmons or Fultz to make a deal. I know I could just use the trade finder but I'm trying to beas sim as possible. Any suggestions?
