Sixers get AB, one of their favorite assets they can use or flip in a future trade, and finally get rid of Jahlil Okafor. Pistons get a young, cheap stretch 4 who won’t clog the paint alongside Drummond, a young center they may as well take a flier on if they’re tanking and see if he can be a backup, and a mid teens to mid twenties first rounder.
I appreciate the suggestion, and I used it as a baseline for my deal with the Pistons:

    76ers Get
    Avery Bradley

    Pistons Get
    Dario Saric
    2018 Unprotected 1st Round Pick (76ers)

I know the 76ers are trying to move Okafor in real life, but since I've taken a lot of time to get good in the post this year, I see him as a valuable bench scorer. I could try to move him later, but I'm happy with this trade. There's no guarantee I'll be able to re-sign Bradley after the 2017-18 season, so I could end up losing on this one big time. But he also could be the piece I need to make a run in a bad Eastern Conference. We'll see how it goes!

I actually hate JJ in 2k (76ers fan), love him in real life, but man .. his defense is atrocious - Avery Bradley is actually a perfect fit IMO for what you're looking for.

I think the Pistons will end up moving him around the deadline IRL because they're going to be worse than they think. I think they'll trade him to the highest bidder because they don't want to pay a "big 3" of Drummond, Jackson, and Bradley. They'll be looking for a return of young, cheap players and/or draft picks.

From the 76ers perspective, they definitely have the assets to get this deal done. It's just a question of how much it would realistically take. 3 and D wings are super valuable, and bringing in Bradley will give me the inside track at re-signing him at the end of the year. In free agency, I'll likely have to choose between him and Covington if I want to leave enough cap space to try to sign Paul George, but that's a good problem to have. I think this team is talented enough to make a run at a top 4 seed with the right addition, and Bradley could be that guy. Here's where I'm at with my assets:

      Untouchables
      Markelle Fultz
      Ben Simmons
      Joel Embiid

      Assets I'm Willing to Trade
      2018 1st Round pick (76ers)
      2018 1st Round Pick (Lakers - Top 5 protected)
      2018 2nd Round pick x 3 (Nets, Knicks & 76ers)
      Dario Saric
      Richaun Holmes
      Jahlil Okafor
      Justin Anderson
      Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
      Nik Stauskus
      Kurkan Korkmaz

Interestingly enough, in a random season sim I did today, Bradley chose to sign with the 76ers (controlled by the CPU) in free agency, so I feel like I'm on a realistic path here.

All suggestions are welcome to help me get my guy for a fair price!

That's a fair trade, I'll put it this way:

Pistons are seemingly rebuilding, so they wouldn't want JJ - they also don't need Okafor considering how they have Drummond.

Given Bradley's contract, Saric and an unprotected 1st round pick should be roughly enough value. I would've thrown in a role player or some 2nds, but I think it's fair. I mean, Saric was the runner up in ROY, not often you end up trading a player of that caliber after their 1st year playing.

76ers have too much big men depth anyway, that'll free up time for Simmons at the PF and/or time for Holmes/Okafor/Amir in general

With that said, I feel like including Saric in a deal for AB would be an overpay, especially since it could just be a rental. I would do the following:

Okafor and one of TLC, Anderson, Korkmaz or a lottery protected 1st. If you're feeling generous include a 2nd too, however I believe that two young players is enough for AB.... and I love AB too by the way.
I can definitely see what you're saying. Since I traded for Bradley at the start of the season, his value is definitely higher than it would be at the trade deadline. That said, I still might have overpaid based on real life value, but I'm not very high on Saric in this game. He's too unathletic to play the 3 and not a good enough shooter, post player or defender to make teams pay at the 4.

I think this is a win-win trade. Detroit gets a young asset and a 1st round pick (which I'm projecting will be in the late teens or early 20s). I get an elite defender who can shoot, plus I'll have the inside track at re-signing him in the offseason while still having enough money to go after Paul George or another free agent on the tier below George. You can never have too many athletic 3 and D wings in the modern NBA, and while Bradley is small, he's a major asset for this team.

My thinking exactly. I already planned to play Simmons at the 4. I think he's just a way bigger problem there than at the 3. I'm looking at running the following 10-man rotation, which a few other guys getting time here and there

          Starters
          Fultz
          Bradley
          Covington
          Simmons
          Embiid

          2nd Unit
          McConnell
          Redick
          Stauskus (AKA Sauce Castillo)
          Holmes
          Okafor

There's almost no defense on that second unit, so I may have to do some tweaking, but I won't do that until I get a handful of games in. I'm also toying with the idea of a no PG lineup to run sometimes, with Simmons as lead ball handler surrounded by shooters. It'd be something like Bradley/Redick/Covington/Simmons/Embiid.

Re: NBA 2K18 - Trade Discussion Thread

In my Celtics MyLeague, Terry Rozier just went down with a broken toe, and Shane Larkin went down with a sore hamstring the next game. Thin at PG, I made a trade with the Mavericks, using the Lou Williams to the Rockets trade as a base

            Mavericks receive:
            Guerschon Yabusele
            Unprotected 2018 1st Round Pick
2019 2nd Round Pick (Swap Best)

            Celtics Receive:
            Seth Curry
2019 2nd Round Pick (Swap Worst)

Mavs, currently 3-15 and highly likely to get a lottery spot once again, get a high potential recent 1st rounder as well as a projected late 20’s pick allowing them to find a gem. Pick Swap as a little extra incentive for the Mavs

Thoughts? I tried to do my best and will get the trades rolling in the 30-team control as the season starts to go along

I would have at least put protection on the pick. I mean, you could miss the playoffs by one game and still end up with a Top 3 pick due to the lottery... and I'm pretty sure that we've seen the end of unprotected picks being traded, unless there's a superstar (thanks Billy King!).

With all that said, at least you're giving the cpu too much as opposed to trying to screw them, so props for that.

I'm not objective enough to answer this without being a homer, especially since I really like the Dancing Bear... I think I'd rather just adjust my lineup and let Irving, Smart and Hayward handle the ball handling duties than give up a young player with potential and 1st for Seth Curry. Heck, I would have made that move before Larkin even saw the floor.

That is true I could’ve done that, I just didn’t want to be in a situation where Irving got hurt as well, as a month into the season he had high wear and tear and then I’m super screwed. And I like Smart and Hayward better coming off screens or cutting to the basket rather than being primary ball handlers and Yabusele wasn’t a part of my rotation as Ojeleye has been doing surprisingly decent in his spot minutes. And also, who can say no to more 3 point shooting especially if we somehow manage to get past LeBron and face the warriors.

Every move I make with the bulls feels wrong and on the unrealistic

I signed Kevin Durant and in injured Paul George ( out 2 month )

I should be able to trade KD anywhere for anyone I want the team to stay young so but it all seems wrong lol I tried KAT (KD, MB3, our first pick) , Booker I can’t remember the rest, playing with them feels wrong even tho I know this is a video game lol, am I the only one that feels this way?

I once did a Fantasy draft and took curry ( my current favorite player ) but since no real bulls were in my roster it just felt fake lol

Well you gotta decide if you want a realistic team or a young team because realistically, you don’t Trade Durant. Ever ever ever. For anything. It’s tough to choose between making a superstar team because that can be really fun, or a realistic team where guys go somewhere that’s not outside the realm of possibility, or somewhat reasonable trades (this got harder with the last off-season). I would trade for big stars and I feel the same as you it doesn’t feel realistic and not fun :/

You have to give up Jonas Valanciunas and either Lucas Noguiera or Dwight Powell, so a loss of depth either way. And even then, at least one or two 1st Rounders because even if Memphis goes full blown rebuild, they’d be stuck with Jonas’ big contract for 3 years. You could do it, but I think there’s cheaper alternatives that help you more, such as Nikola Vucevic on the magic. He’s a great rebounder, something the Raptors sorely need, and you’d only have to do Jonas and 1 1st or maaaaybe 1 1st and a way in the future second.

Playing with the Bulls in MyLeague, and I’m looking to trade for a PG. Any ideas who would be a nice starting PG who I could realisticly trade for and what it would take to pull of a trade? I’m done with the first season, and my starting lineup is Grant, Lavine, Valentine, Markkanen and Okafor. I’ve got the first pick in the draft and I’m going to pick Michael Porter to replace Valentine at SF. I’m fine with Lavine, Markkanen and Okafor right now so a PG is what my starting lineup would need. I’m open to any ideas from going after someone like Kemba Walker or settling for someone not yet in his prime, I would just like to hear ideas. I’ve got extra first rounders in 2019 and 2021 that I could throw in to the trade.

I’ve got extra first rounders in 2019 and 2021 that I could throw in to the trade.
eric Bledsoe from the suns is obviously on the market in real life

I'm currently in a bidding war with the Denver Nuggets to acquire Eric Bledsoe from the low-leverage Suns in my 30-Team MyLeague. Here are the offers:

Suns receive: Kenneth Faried, Emmanuel Mudiay
Nuggets receive: Eric Bledsoe, Alec Peters
                                (would they offer more?)

Suns receive: 2018 1st Rd Pick (Top 10 Protected), Reggie Jackson, Jon Leuer, Boban Marjanovic
Pistons receive: Eric Bledsoe, Tyson Chandler, Jared Dudley

Which offer would you guys accept as GM in Phoenix? I honestly think I'm paying a bit too much, but Denver has me beat talent wise so I had to throw in the pick. I think this move puts us in contention with Milwaukee, Washington and Toronto for second place in the eastern conference.
