Re: Stop complaining about not making 50%+ wide open 3s
The complaining about this will never stop. The, "It's a video game, so real world NBA percentages shouldn't apply", mentality is seared into the psyche of a large percentage of this games' customer base. Although to be fair, it isn't just 2K gamers, this mindset exists for all sports games.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Stop complaining about not making 50%+ wide open 3s
sometimes twice. I made a similar thread 2 or 3 weeks ago in an attempt to educate those who want Steph Curry and others to knock down 90% of open threes and expect any contested shot to miss. Reality is open 3% is way lower than most think and much closer to the percentage of contested shots that are made. NBA players make contested shots and miss open shots.Comment

Re: Stop complaining about not making 50%+ wide open 3s
I don't have an opinion on if it's too hard or too easy to shoot yet.
It's too early in the game, in my opinion, for the devs to make any adjustments to shooting percentages.
I will say that offline and my career feel almost perfect at this point.
However, it is clear, that "good" releases are the lowest percentage release that you can get as far as feedback goes.
A 50 shot test in mycourt confirms this easily.
Of the 50 shots that I took, 30 of 50 or 60% were makes.
Of those 50, 22 were good releases. Only 6 of 22, 27%, "good" releases were makes.
It appears to me, that if adjustments are to be made, this would be the area that should be looked at.
Since @beluba is looking at this thread, I wonder if this wasn't intentional.

Re: Stop complaining about not making 50%+ wide open 3s
Difficulty setting is way too low at pro am (it feels same as playground) . I recall mike wang or somebody else from 2k mentioning hot zones having less of an impact. But it just doesnt matter when you can achieve 99 3pt with pure sharp on the casual settings.Comment

Re: Stop complaining about not making 50%+ wide open 3s
I say it every year. Should make open shots more effective and well defended shots less effective. It puts control into the players hands not into some unknown algorithm. The shooting last year at the end I thought was perfect, the problem was playing defense was too difficult with back and forth cheese and unreal screens.Comment

Re: Stop complaining about not making 50%+ wide open 3s
Yeah, it does. It forces people to stop hunting for the green release and instead learn how to shoot. Personally, I like the vibration feedback waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better. That was a stroke of genuine adding that feature.Comment
