It does mean a lot for views actually . That’s how these guys make their money. Fortnite is killing it right now . It’s the way for them to go at the moment .

Doesn't have much to do with the health of 2K though....their proclamation of death doesn't mean a lot.....

IMO it's the best 2k ever made, players don't usually miss wide open lay ups, they miss contested lay ups they claim were wide open. Ya you're gonna miss some open shots, but that's basketball. The ball drop animation usually only triggers on forced passes. A lot of bad players claim the game is broken because of deficiencies in their game and the refusal to improve

Not true all the time. I know for a fact I'm not a bad player and I still BLOW layups like I'm 8 years old playing my first game of organized basketball at the local YMCA or Park Rec league.

The game MAKES you blow layups to try and pull down your overall FG% to something closer to real life. I can't stand that. Some think thats sim. It's not. if I make the correct move and I'm open. For the most part I should almost never blow that layup. I blow a few layups per game. just like i drop a pass that I've already caught a few times a game or i see someone else do that a few times per game. just cause.

no one in real life, catches the ball. then waits 3 seconds then drops the ball out of bounds. that never happens.
Can a real life person drop a hot dime? YEP. is that the animation we're seeing? NOPE.

Do i have a problem with guys fumbling the ball? in certain situations depending on your hands thats an appropriate animation. but as often as it happens unless you have a play maker on the roster is ridiculous.
Most 80+ rated nba players are not juggling the ball like a clown at the circus on 50% of the passes. thats silly.

that juggling is there to give the defense a chance to react. again, FAKE. not real. thats artificially in the game to promote something else. take that nonsense out. and allow the defenders to react at a decent speed (not warp speed either). if the defender is late. oh well. he's late. he has to suffer the repercussions.

I like the animation where you guys i trying to save the ball and he tippy toes along the line sometimes its saved sometimes its out. thats real.

whats not real is when someone is standing in a direct straight line to you and passes you the ball and all of a sudden the ball carries you out of bounds. What type of ball are we playing with? Is this regulation? LOL. a real basketball weighs 20 to 22 OUNCES not pounds. Why is it so darn heavy like its a medicine ball in 2k18?
again, not realistic at all. those animations should have never been mo-capped. that never happens.

Can you throw an errant pass where the catcher tries to run fast to go get it and can't save it but reaches for it and goes out of bounds? YEs. but thats not what we're seeing. we're seeing that medicine ball situation take place.

actually it does. if 2k youtubers are no longer youtubing 2k and are not youtube fortnite because most of their followers are doing the same. They will have to switch it up. but for them to switch it up it has to be due to the fact their audience has switched games also. which means 2k is losing people to Fortnite. is that true?Probably. Fortnite is killing a lot of games right now. And I will tell you this. It seems to the people playing it of all levels. They are not nearly as Frustrated with fortnite as they are with 2k. 2k will make you throw your controller at times while also make you smile at times. Fornite is just an easy fun game. now again you may get destroyed by people who really know what they are doing. but its just a fun game to play for people.

Watched a recent stream of da_czar and he said park is the most played most and it’s not even close. Everything is based off park.

thats because the park is the quickest way to play. you can get in a lot of games really quick.

It's pathetic click bait, most of the anti 2k vidoes claiming the death of 2k beacause of something end up being absolute about nothing but some random opinion or some line from a articles, and unfortunately youtube keep showing you those vidoes because of your search history so eventually you click on them just to see what they have to say and just get annoyed after watching a minute of rambling.

its not 2k youtubers it's live youtubers who have a nitch following that are creating these videos over and over again, they want to get in on the ground floor incase Live ever over takes 2k in the future they want to bbe the next Flight reacts.

Lol... Since when is less YouTubers a bad thing? Most of those guys are too blame for the current state of the game. When people start crying for 99% makes on wide open shots regardless of ratings or badges and to make every layup when they're not even slashers, that's when you have a title like 2k18.

I think it's funny because everyone was crying that the game was too hard the first week it was out. Now they're crying it's STILL too hard? There's the problem.

2k has already shown a pattern of chasing bottom line profits instead of putting out a quality product.


Ran a bit of park last night, my friends stayed on the same characters but I kept switching. They were a pure athletic 6'10 PF and a 6'7 slashing rebounder PF. I had my point forward, my playmaking slasher, pure slasher, then finally ended on my post first, sharp secondary PF. I'm telling you, the line ups that kept giving us problems were the all guard line ups where everyone could shoot and run pick n roll with all guards. That's not right. If we're all finishing players, the chance of success at finishing vs shooting is so skewed. You shouldn't be able to shoot 3s easier than finishing. You shouldn't be able to guard giant players comparatively by spamming steal or block when beaten off the dribble. Guards shouldn't be able to finish over bigger, stronger characters when playing good defense.

I'm sorry, but the game is too easy as it is and if we continue to buckle under such meaningless scrutiny we're never going to have a competitive online experience ever again.

That's just bad team composition, if you're all slashers/finishers all the defence has to do is pack the paint. You can't expect to consistently finish over top of the defense, you need shooting to spread the floor. You should be able to stop 3 point shooters with all that foot speed though, try playing sides to negate the PNR

YouTubers are definitely a influential part of the 2k community....just not the ones were talking about here....sure, their brand of videos may placate the "rage" side of the community, which most games have a niche for....but IMO, it's more toxic than any real content....

The one where their mouths are wide open with bucked eyes just makes me laugh evertime.

A lot of the more influential 2k youtubers haven’t been playing 2k much this year . More fortnite.

Missed layups?? I don't have the exact statistics and nope I don't have the time or the "want to" to look up the stats and post them here but I watch plenty of NBA games and players miss alot of OPEN SHOTS AND LAYUPS IN REAL LIFE so....that's all I have to say on the topic. #KoosaSigningOut

No players do not miss a LOT of open LAYUPS. dont say shots. we're not talking about SHOTS. thats different. we're talking about LAY..UPS. we're not talking about high pressure situations where a guy is on your hip or right on your shoulder. you are ahead of the guy and bam blown layup for no reason at all but to take your fg% down a notch. i dont know why 2k players like yourself tries to fit this reality every year when they've done this every...single..year for that very reason.
