i said this before the game release "i will never trust a online gamers (my career) opinion about this game. their issue is bcoz the game dont play in their favours all the time and still ask for more realistic game. i really do wonder if this people sit on a whole real NBA games.

P.S 2k is been around before this youtubers lets not act as if they will loose sales. and if they do then its better so they can go back and cater for the offline players.

And can somebody change this thread to online players only this is a clickbait very annoying. this online players act as if they are the most important one.

Online and micro transactions are the wave right now. Not offline play. . Even a dev said Park is the most popular mode . Now to clarify I’m not saying 2k needs to ignore offline users . Being here first doesn’t mean anything really . These companies are moving foward.

just becoz its the wave that doesnt mean its the focal point of this game is not like hypebeast item.its core is still to cater basketball enthusiast. this game will not die until basketball is still shown in television program around the world. no so called youtuber will say its dead as if it affect the whole world. stop this nonsense. people agreeing on such thing just show people are not really into basketball period. bcoz if you do nobody..i mean nobody will change your mind about the game no matter what...

P.S this youtuber dont play realistic sim game...so how are they reliable?? do you even know how many people play offline??

It's not about the game playing in someones favor. There's a lot of issues with "Online" play that 2k has ignored since launch. I think that's where the growing frustrations are. In a lot of Online players opinion, this game just isn't as good as previous installments. You really think 2k is gonna cater to offline players when the online community is MUCH bigger? Offline players aren't making them the money that Online players are lol. The game is great to offline players because you constantly play against the computer that doesn't know any exploits. It's a whole different ball game in the online world though. It shows how truly broken and bad this game is.

I like this game; it's infinitely better than the ****show of last year, but it still does have a lot of gameplay flaws.

That said, and I hate to be so repetitive on this issue, but who wants to watch a sharpshooting YT'er just jack up shots constantly?

Who wants to watch dribble heads just spamming crossover into btb into spin move, into repeat ad nauseum?

Who wants to watch slashers dunking constantly?

The archetype system is boring and repetitive when played/watched extensively. It just is.

Now that we know the 2k league is being handled differently on a different build, give the community control over our players again.I'm pretty much a career-only player these days, and I'd rather not be. Everything is just too repetitive and monotonous with these archetypes.

Being able to do 1 or 2 things well gets old real fast when we're playing with the game for a year.

I stopped playing park in 17, but 2k14/15 parks were just amazing fun. The skill gap that everyone cries about the lack of these days, existed because we all had players that could do everything, so the best players were the best players.

Put everyone out their on a level footing again, and let the best players be the best players, and the trash players can't be bailed out by hiding behind screens and relying on their archetype to get them out of a hole.

There is no 100 percent anything

Players blow layups all the time. I suspect many of these so called sim NBA 2k players barely watch games let alone understand what's actually happening on the court

I'm not saying every NBA player should make layups 100% of the time, I'm saying it is 100% truth that layups are blown way too often in this game. Huge difference.

Lmao what? So the online community can't have a voice or legitimate opinion about the game? Not everybody from the online community wants the game catered to them or wants to make it easier. I think that's what you're getting at. Nerfing blow by animations and snatchbacks doesn't make the game easier. It makes the game more Sim, something that offline guys preach and talk about 24/7. The list goes on. Offline the game may be amazing but that's not the case with Online play. Definitely needs some work.

Don't get me wrong, i don't like the shot meter on layups and its already going to be removed, but just making blanket statements with no facts dont help any argument.

Man I just wish 2k had more defensive tools to counter the hip ride animation . It does kill the enjoyment of the game for me. A lot of youtubers mentioned it as a contributing factor for them quitting the game .

But if I'm driving the lane with Westbrook and he is bricking half of his open layups on Pro difficulty (not a blanket statement but an actual situation I've come across in 2K18), something is wrong. Maybe it's me not just understanding the game mechanics and needing more practice, but it doesn't feel right.

I’ve definitely missed a couple wide open layups in a game before but if you’re missing half with Westbrook on Pro, then I feel like your idea of open might be different then mine.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don't play any of those modes, only offline myleague and nba today games and I have never seen that, I think those park and pro am modes or whatever have alot to do with that kind of stuff to be honest but I can't speak on it because I don't play those modes, that crap was funny though lol.

I honestly have not had a problem with open layups, the game plays differently for different people I guess, I can only speak from my own experience.

I'm still enjoying the game but I get where they're coming from. Modes like MyTeam and MyPark gain the most views on YouTube and I can assure you that MyTeam is absolutely dead. Some of my favorite YouTubers like Smoove don't even play this game anymore, which is interesting to me.

Funny thing is that I was thinking about this the other day. It's still crazy to me that entire era of 2K YouTubers from 2010-2015 is pretty much coming to an end. Everyone pretty much grew up and moved on to other things. Outside of maybe Agent00 I can't even get into any these new guys. It's a whole new generation lol.

I agree 100% especially with Smoove. He's not even playing anymore. His whole channel has changed. If he's not playing, you know something is wrong. I play 2K18 every few weeks now. Not playing MyLeague again for the 2nd year in a row (threw away 2K17, but still). I was obsessed with NBA 2K. It was the only game I played for months on end. I rarely play it now. It's not good. I get why people are playing other games.

No..of course you have the right to voice your opinion..but that is the online mode dont talk to it as a general thing.
