Pure Slasher far from one of the worst builds, it gets great defensive badges, great finishing and can shoot. Literally any and every build can shoot in this game. My post Athletic is shooting 60% from 3 in team.

I said PURE SLASHER not a post athletic, 2 way slasher etc lol. Every PURE slasher I've come across does nothing but clog the paint and constantly tries to dunk on a 2-3 people at a time. They can't shoot 60% from the field let alone behind the arch especially in a half court set offense. The select few that do get buckets usually run the fast break to do so. Any time we see a Pure Slasher on the court we usually jump right into Zone unless the other 4 players are all shooters. It's too easy of a build to defend.

I don't think that's a good build. Sharp secondary is much better than primary.

Word. It probably would depend on what position he's gonna be playing though. Sharp primary at the 4 wouldn't be bad. Sharp primary at the 5 would be a big no. Glass cleaners would have a field day with him.

Pure slasher may not be an effective meta build but *** **** are they fun to play with as a teammate (i don't have one)

Play with one who knows when and how to attack and they can be effective , but most are indeed the type who cut in at the worst times and solely rely on praying for the favorable animation

Almost all of my points on my 4 slashers have come in transition. I have not been able to be effective in the half court set all year. Even when I DO get a contact to trigger the ball just rims out. Even with HOF posterizer.

The slashers I play with pretty much operate off the corner/baseline when we're in half court, but your success is really predicated on a point guard being able to hit you at the right time and place, and for people to make sure you actually have space to slash

But yeah it is insane how many dunks just rim out for seemingly no reason

Yeah, I did them all different positions and weights with different ratings, my newest was a 6'8 SF 260 LBs with a 92 contact rating and gold posterizer! Thunk! HUH?!

The slashers I play with pretty much operate off the corner/baseline when we're in half court, but your success is really predicated on a point guard being able to hit you at the right time and place, and for people to make sure you actually have space to slash

I have a 6'9 I think 200 lb Pure Slasher SF. Underrated build. Fun in Park, but need the right teammates in pro-am. Actually really good at defense with this build because of length and speed. Also gotta do a lot of give and goes to get open.

Good slashers = UNICORN

Just got out of one in which slashers were at the 1 and 2. Every pass to them (or just hog ball) was watching them drive, hoping for animations, and all clunkers. It's a build that can be great in the right hands, and by picking the right spots, but most aren't patient enough for it.

Yo tell me about it. Having a mismatch in a driving layup or dunk situation is meaningless in this game and success is completely random. I have a 6'10" two way slasher pf and my pro am game is limited to trying to limit glass cleaners or pure aharps effectiveness, which we all know both builds be on some bs. I couldnt even tell you how many well timed standing and driving dunk attempts clank of the back of the rim, but whatever that is multiply that by 3 for layups. I enjoy playing good d and serving my team in that sense but the fact that a MAYBE will get 3 or 4 shot attenpts in a game and they bounce out is extremely frustrating.

The big thing i like bout playing on a slasher os everyine backs off of u from the corner three sho i shoot it. Cause in this 2k any buikd can hit that corner three

Mostly ran park with it but skills could translate. Pure Slasher is my current build and it's HOF and Gold badges can almost feel like a hack. unstoppable putbacks

good to hear because the grind for HOF OMFB is a bit much. im about half way there.
