Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Made a couple centers last night.
7’ even is provably the best for bigs
7’0 Same build as below
- double the speed and vertical of 7’3
7’3 Rebounding Rim Protector
- vertical was about 30-35
- speed super low don’t remember exact number , extremely low speed
I believe the increased speed and vertical out way the benefit of being 7’3
I was able to sprint back on defense with my 7’0
7’3 felt real sluggish

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Went to my New Zealand account (lol) and remade my player, except all I did was re-create what I had last year but put it at point (Slashing shot creator)
And .... it felt so right. Even with max wingspan, it's pretty much exactly what I had last year, except even better because the badges are better.
Tireless Scorer--->Gold to HOF
Lob Finisher--->Bronze to Gold
Up and Under--->Bronze to Silver
Dimer--->Bronze to Silver
Pick and Roll Maestro--->Didn't have last year, and is silver
Flashy Passer--->Didn't have last year, and is silver
Ankle Breaker--->DOWNGRADED from gold to silver
Lob City Passer--->Bronze to silver
charge card--->bronze to silver
and now we get deep range deadeye, limitless, catch and shoot, on bronze
I won't get the elite 3 contact dunks, but my dunking will still be in the low 80s which is plenty good. I'm not planning on relying and praying to get those animations anyways, so it'll work out. Putting slasher secondary means I can shoot, post, pass betterComment

If you go Post Scoring Secondary you get HOF Posterizer.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
I could get that with a pure and not sacrifice any speed. I'm good with no HOF posterizer. I'd trade that for corner specialist silver. I can legitimately stretch the floor with that.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Don't be tempted by the silver corner specialist that SG defenders get; your shooting rating is still going to be terrible if you max your wingspan, which you absolutely should as a primary defender archetype.
Make a SF defender instead of that SG and you'll still have bronze corner specialist, but you'll now have access to the big man contact dunks, plus you'll get much better badges in multiple categories (rim protector, brick wall, hustle rebounder, pick and roller).
I don't know how hard it's going to be to get steals in the full game, but it's way too easy to rip the ball in this Prelude; it feels like 2K17 stealing IMO as far as the timing for when to press the steal button. But I'm sure it will be much tougher than this to get clean strips in the retail version of 2K19

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
One thing that could stop 7"3 bigs from being effective is the wingspan, going max will probably lead to a lot of Offensive Basket Interference/Goaltending calls when going for a rebound.
EDIT: No 7'3 big gets Contact Dunks, only Pure Athletic's get the Bigman ones at 7'2, Athletic secondary has to be 7'0 or below to get Bigman Contact Dunks.Hopefully this will stop the 7'3 standing contact dunk cheese.👌Last edited by TheFinalEvent97; 09-01-2018, 04:59 AM.Comment

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Teams are definitely going to need at least 2 to 3 offensive creators on the floor this year, given how quickly your stamina runs out, and how long it takes for your stamina to refill once it's depleted.
In this demo, it seems like you only get to make one or two explosive moves before your stamina bar starts blinking red, and if you don't get by your man after making those two turbo moves, then you have to pass the ball to someone else and just stand still for a while to recover energy.Last edited by jyoung; 09-01-2018, 05:08 AM.Comment

6'4" sharp slasher might be a nice combo guard build. It gets all the dunk packages except the big man ones.

Re: Pro Am Builds For 2k19
Since point forwards have been quite nerfed across the board, I'm thinking of going with playmaking as secondary for my SF.
I'm torn between:
A. Playmaking slasher (more athletic, better overall defender with silver chase down)
B. Playmaking post scorer (better all round offensive game and better passer with gold dimer which is huge).
Any idea or suggestion?
Btw: post scoring slasher seems nice too, with silver def stopperComment
