The day that people take a layup/dunk over a pullup 3 on an uncontested fast break is the day this game becomes way better.

Other than that, things aren't always perfect, but that'd make things much more tolerable.

Played half a dozen rec games last night, and every single one of devolved into shooters running back and forth behind multiple screens until their sharps/stretches were open (my team as well). Eventually you'd end up the defense putting 3-4 guys on shooters above the three point line running around like headless chickens or spamming steal and the paint was wide open, but no one would pass there since it's only 2 points.

It's pretty boring TBH and there's really no reason to be anything other than a pure sharp/stretch, pure shot or a glass cleaner in Rec/Pro-Am given the current meta.

That said, I did enjoy it with my pure lockdown SF though, had multiple steals and blocks in each game and was easily getting double figure boards. Forced seven turnovers on one guy I was guarding too.

Lockdown defender is such a boring build imo. I love playing against pure locks as a pure shot creator or with my pure playmaker. On my pure shot, I can create enough space every time with fall away jumpers, step backs, etc and then on defense I get a break because I dont have to guard him at the 3pt line. I can sag off more into the paint or try to play passing lanes.

My rec experience goes either of 2 ways.

1. The team I'm playing against does the whole set screens at the top of they key and the shooters run sideways until they get a shot. Then on defense as soon as a shot is missed they are sprint down the court for an open 3 or dunk

2. I play against a team that actually plays like a team and it ends up being a good, close game

Fortunately, or unfortunately, I always seem to play on a team that wants to play real ball. So we either get blown out by the cheese teams or we play a good game

Ran a pretty unconventional line-up the other day.

PG: shot creating playmaker
SG: two way sharp
SF: shot creating sharp (me)
PF: two way rebounder
C: Slashing rim protector

This was probably the best line-up in terms of fun I've ever been in lol. We were running pretty small with only the Center being 6'11 but speed kills and we were able to switch literally everything. We didn't really have problems on the glass either due to the Slashing rim protector and the two way rebounder. The only time we really had trouble was against the stretch/ Pure glass line ups. Slash rim protector 6'11 max wingspan looks like a really fun build.

I assume you're talking about the dual takeover for combo archetypes?

I think my build got the triple cap breaker at 91, I'll find out in a few days, at 81% right now with one cap breaker in already.

You haven't played against a good pure lock then. They get silver corner specialist, are the most athletic build in the game. And a good one isn't going to let you MOVE much let alone dribble.

Yeah, the dual archetype combo. And I just got out of a game where I dropped 52 without a single missed shot. Boy oh boy.

If you have that build, yeah, you’re gonna get a triple bar from 91 to 92. Then one bar each for 93 and 94.
