The sim engine is a black box so it's pretty hard to tell sometimes. Usually over the course of a entire season the results make sense in my experience (it really shows its problems in smaller sample sizes like playoff series), but sometimes it just hates teams the whole year So if you have good roster that fits together well then it could just be sim sorcery screwing you over.

IDK how much coaching settings really matter but it's worth trying to mess with them a bit, see if they align with your roster. Not sure if play settings matter for black box sim but I always make sure that those make sense as well. This stuff doesn't take much time at all.

Customizing player training is a surefire way to generate value and improve players but it's a huge timesink so I understand avoiding it.

I played with the training sliders a bit tonight. And simmed a season. Still only managed 29 wins, with a ton of ugly losses, and more injuries than I could shake a stick at. It seemed like the team got much better overall though.

My roster moves before the season caused me to end up dropping the chemistry down around 40 and I spent most of the year improving the team chenistry in practice.

Letting the coach chose the rotation and minutes has led to him starting players with less overall rating, and I don’t understand that.

When I set the lineups I try to keep all the bars for the minutes as even as I can. When I let the coach handle it they tend to get really out of whack.

I just don’t know. I improve this team, it’s staff, everything, and it’s like nothing results in any kind of decent output.

Can someone please explain what they did to player progression this year? I’ve been playing myleague/franchise for close to 10 years now and every year I just do rebuilds with multiple teams. In past games i’ve mastered individual training and had all my setting perfect and somehow most of my players regressed! Collin Sexton lost two overall at 20 years old averging 17 points a game. I’m so confused. Heeeelp

A lot of the guys on here complained about the progression. It ruin the mode. I haven't played the game since. It's pretty much dead to me. 100 dollars wasted because non sim types cried about the way it was. Pretty much killed the mode. I haven't played 2k since.

They promoted 2k myleague online to have all the features that offline myleague has but.....

I see generic draft classes and no option to upload custom draft class
I dont see training mode and training options
I dont see player of the week/month
No All star race votes

Is it possible to do a MLO with a custon roster set ?
Think they just lied to us

Is this with start today? I've heard that's completely broken. Just starting a myleague normally works for me though.

Oh boy seems like something broke in my league with rotations. Sim games are totally ignoring my minutes settings and starters are playing 38-40 minutes even when set to 28-32. Seems like the CPU might be having the same problem. This is a league killer if it persists Anyone else run into this?

One thing I will say, as glitched as this mode can get, I really enjoyed the new draft. I much prefer watching a text analysis over what the player plays like or who they are rather than watch twitter complaints from fans. It’s probably my favorite new thing they added besides the possible tournament for the #1 draft pick.

I've finally made it season 2 of my myGM and noticed that none of the badges changed. Do players gain and progress badges?

Go to the coach gameplan page, then one of the tabs should have a “Player Performance Factor” or something like that, change it to 0.
Also “System Efficiency Factor” or whatever to 0

What the hell is this crap where every player with 78 or better overall incessantly complaining to start even though they have an all star above them and are still getting plenty of minutes per game?

Anyone else feel satisfied when they see an in-game injury from a player on their own team? Lol maybe it's just me. For the most part it's smooth sailing, not having to deal with any injuries while I constantly play the CPU that almost always have a player or two out. Glad to finally have to make rotation changes because of it & see how my team does without a starter.

With said I've been looking to make a trade for a star or a player on the brink of being one. Right now I have my sights set on Tobias Harris from the 1-13 Clippers, Kevin Love from the 7-7 Cavs, & Kemba Walker from the 2-12 Hornets.

Playing with CelticLG roster (Barncore sliders/Ace sliders) as the Heat. Sitting at 11-4.

Any suggestions on some trade scenarios for the players mentioned above? I was thinking Richardson (or McGruder), Olynyk, & a 1st for Tobias Harris. I'm not too fond of the trade on the surface because this is the trade that almost netted us Butler but as far as me on the sticks with these players Richardson/Olynyk don't benefit me.

I like Richardson in real life but on 2k I can basically replicate what he gives me with McGruder. Although, he does make some key plays that I would probably miss. Any thoughts?

On 2nd thought, I don't know if I want to let Richardson go in a trade that doesn't involve a player like Kemba/Butler. I'm doing well now but I should be thinking ahead to the playoffs & I also see Harris saying he wants to test free agency so maybe I'll throw a lesser package if I want to pursue a trade for him.

What is the start today progression bug? Do people ot progress if you start a league with start today? Does this only affect the first year or every year if the league? I've seen a lot of mentions of it but haven't been able to find a post describing exactly what it is. Every year I start a my league using start today later in the year, usually just after the trade deadline. I just want to know if it's even worth it or if there's a work around, or should I just start one from the beginning.
