Posted this in the trade discussion but also wanted to here as well. I think this could be a an interesting subject to see what other people do.

For all you 30 team control myleaguers, do you got into every team and change their Intel? If they are buying selling type of deal. I did, went in and put the wizards to selling, that way i can move wall and others. How do you make it to where if the CPU controls that decision for a fair trade to accept? I'll give you my scenario last night.

I was the suns offering TJ Warren and a 2020 1st unprotected for Wall, just to get the ball rolling. They countered with Wall and Porter for TJ, 20 1st, Ariza and 21 1st unprotected. I didn't want the extra salary so I brought in NOLA, yes I know adding a 3rd team makes it more difficult. NOLA offered Nikola, (Wiz) Moore( Suns), trade exception(Wiz), and 21 1st (Suns). In return for Otto. Pelicans agreed but Wizards said nope. I was a fan of the trade honestly. Thought it was a fairly solid deal in place. So then just to see what it takes to make a deal happen with those 3 teams, at one time had 4 first round picks all unprotected. They were all for the same years, so two 2020s and two 2021s. Essentially they could have had three 6 first round picks in a 3 year span. Of course I was going to go with that because I think that's way too much, and they still said no! How on earth does a team who's selling say no to that! Just curious to see what anyone else has done to possibly make it easier and more realistic to trade guys on a selling team. Sorry for the long post, but I hope it was entertaining! Was for me for sure.

I don't do MyGM but I know some players years in the league get screwed up in a custom class. They give some 2-3 years I have even seen some with 7yrs which means they are not rookies and not eligible for rookie things. Have to manually change all of them after the draft happens.

Yes noticed this in myGM as well. I can’t believe they haven’t cared enough to fix those bugs.

The first thing that I do when I start a MyLeague. At least half of the league is incorrect. And about your case:

3. Don't use 2K MyLeague default sliders for contracts and trades, use Schnaidt or Barncore sliders

Then you should be able to make a realistic trade.

Funny thing is I did all that. Only thing I did not do is trade block. I will do that for the teams.

I've done a couple things. if it's team specific, I'll sign them somewhere else, then trade them along with a 2nd round pick to the preferred destination for a 2nd round pick. Then swap the picks back.

If it's they won't sign anywhere due to ridiculous contract demands, right down their attributes, lower them and then sign them for a better contract. Then edit them back up.

Agreed just need more spacing and Chandler is not really suited as a 4 it’s only for one year so the money is not a issue just finding hard to come up with a good realistic deal.

Anderson's high price tag makes it tough to make something happen, which is why Houston had a tough time moving him in real life. He's not the greatest option especially in relation to what you would have to give up in order to make the finances work.

I would go for a more easily obtainable stretch 4 like Marcus or Markieff Morris, JaMychal Green, Ersan Ilyasova, etc.

long time listener, first time caller. So this thread is immensely long and therefore searching stuff is almost impossible. I have a couple of questions:

1. In MyGM Storymode my uniforms get messed up all the time. I only use about 7 layers and all the stuff I'm using has been uploaded fine. However the uniforms get totally messed up once in game. Writing isn't displayed where it should be or not displayed at all. Graphics are either non existant or are totally enlarged and cover the whole of the uniform etc. Is this a known issue and is there a workaround?

2. In NBA 2k18 there was a possibility to download custom training plans for players. I simply can not find that option in MyGM storymode. Is it there? Is it hidden? How do I access it?

3. Again MyGM Storymode. There seems to be no chance to redo uniforms or the court or what have you. Is that option simply hidden in a menu or is the one time you do it really the only chance you get and you should not mess it up?

I'm thankful for any helpful advise on the matter.

I looked up and realized that I had 4 ML files. One was Celtic roster with Scnauidts sliders. Another was an updated Celtic roster, with my slider set and some roster and coaching changes. One was a recent 2K roster with the Becoming 2K20 (AceBoons) sliders. Not sure what the last one was. Regardless, I wasn't really playing or enjoying any one of them. Yesterday I just deleted them all and went with the most recent 2K rosters on default All star. I really want the new courts and offenses Czar installed in ML. The only changes i made were lowering body sensitivity to 15 and I maxed out the foul sliders and dropped game speed down to 49. I had a blast in the post season with these settings.

I simmed the first season using JBs draft class. Houston won the title. The Knicks won the draft lottery and took Corey Appling number one. This is the star New York needs! The Celtics (these guys...) got the 2nd overall pick which was the Kings. I traded it to the Hawks for their current 1st (9th) along with their unprotected 1st for 20. Hawks took Latrell Quares who looks like a rock solid 2 way wing.

I kept the coaching changes to a minimum. I sent Doc Rivers to the 76ers and had Sam Cassell take over for him in LA. I also hired Mike Stauffer to coach the Bulls. That was it as far as coaching. Avon Gentry, Thibs and Joeger enter the season on the hot seat, though.

I traded Klay to the Bulls (for Justin Holiday) as he was planning on becoming a FA. I extended and maxed out KD as he planned to stay. I sent Boogie to the Wizards for Dwigt Howard and maxed him out. I extended Draymond and manually resigned the rest of the team. I edited Jacob Evans up a bit to hopefully fill Klays role. The Grizzlies are in full rebuild, I sent Conley to the 76ers for Fultz. I sent Marc Gasol to Chicago in a three team deal that had Jabari end up in Cleveland and Bobby Portis in Memphis. I think it works for all parties. The other prominent FA stayed with their teams. The highest rated FA to hit the market were Derrick Favors and D. Rose.

I used Barnseys ML settings and they have been amazing. No one progressed more than 2 overall points, which I like. A lot of guys stayed the same. This is the NBA, I don't want to see guys jumping 6 and 8 points. It over saturates the league and it's just not realistic. I'm using JBs draft class 2 now and begining the 2nd season, I'm having a blast man.

I know I'm enjoying myself as I'm playing 10 min qtrs again. I just finished a classic with the 76ers and Wizards going toe to toe. Joel and Boogie went at it. Boogie got a flagrant at the end of overtime, lol. So accurate. The Bulls square off with the Bucks today, so that should be a good one to see how the new team fares.

I'd really love to know if these are bugs or basically bugs which I need to report, intentionally missing features or if I'm simply too dumb to get it right so feedback would be very much appreciated.

Ever since the last patch, everytime I try to play with an expansion team I downloaded in My League, the players are invisible once I start a game. Has anyone had this problem yet? Seriously 2k?

Finally started a MyLeague for which I plan to be long term. I picked the Spurs, I want to continue the tradition and I really love and respect their way of building teams and valuing players.


Therefore I won't be making big changes in the short amount of time. I am playing with the latest roster (minus George Hill trade) with signature edits (jump shots) and Team Styles edits so that I have all the latest portraits, courts, jerseys etc.



I've only made a couple of changes. Since we lack depth on the wing and need some physicality I decided to trade for Nwaba. I think he's exactly what we need. He's 25 years old, he's defensive minded and he looks like a great fit. I gave Pondexter, 2021 2nd pick and Metu.


Since I needed to add someone to complete the roster, I decided to sign Darrell Arthur, he'll be a veteran presence but also someone we can play at 4 or 5 if that will be needed. He's a good defensive player and can shoot from the outside.


I also added 2 players on two way contracts, Chinanu Onuaku and Nicolas Brussino.


My starting five is: Patty Mills, DeMar Derozan, David Nwaba, LaMarcus Aldrigde and Jakob Poeltl.


Let's roll, I am hoping for a successful playoff season.

Just wanna say how much fun I'm having with my Pacer squad. I did a start today few weeks back and been rolling ever since. Made some moves and have acquired Anderson denied his team option for next year and resigned him to a 2+1 team opt deal and accquired Korver as well. I've moved Aaron Holiday to the starting point and that was not by accident. He has been rolling since getting the nod. Plan on moving Darren Collision and Cory Joseph. I would like to being in DJ Augustin and Frank the Tank Kaminsky. This team is one of the best in the east sitting I believe at 3rd few games back from Raptors. If you have a prospect your wanting to get I would look at Alize Johnson at PF, I have enjoyed playing with him in his limited minutes and plan on using him more and watching him progress. If nobody can help me with my questions about errors then I'd at least like to know whether the custom player training option which lets you download custom player training plans still exist? I can't find it either in storymode or normal MyGM.

I don’t play my gm mode, but it’s similar to my league so a lot of bugs and glitches have been plaguing this mode for quite sometime. I’m more of a my league guy, so the thing with the uniforms has been bugged since 2k18 but this year the alternate uniforms is the headache that most of us are dealing with right now. As far as the training plans, I’d look thru this thread and try using or messing around with the training sliders. I think someone has some settings here you could use that would be more realistic that I think could help you out. The work around as far as the uniforms I would save them after so if they mess up, you could just download them again, but remember my gm especially the story mode, that uniforms aren’t able to be uploaded so maybe your best bet would be to just play my league. I hope this helps.
