Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Personally for my own ML, if a team sucks I will adjust their coaching profile to favor young players in the lineup, use the bench more, and go with high performance factor. The tank is real so I want it to be so im my own save as well, so I do that so CPU prospects on tanking teams get ample PT and so some blowout games happen. Penalizing teams like that for losing seems dumb because things might happen like a tough schedule or injuries, and sometimes the best way to get better really is to tank.
For example, the Bulls best option right now is to tank for RJ Barrett and sign a max player in FA, not try to start winning now. They wont be making the playoffs nor do they have a shot of getting out of the first round anyways, so why even try to win this year?

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but it'd really help me out with my current plans if someone could tell me how often in game injuries happen if the settings are left at default.
I'm thinking of doing a 29 game season with a single game elimination playoff structure because I simply don't have the time to do a full season before next year's game comes out. I'd like to do some kind of fantasy draft (probably with current players for this run) and build a starting lineup, bench lineup, and reserve lineup in case of injuries, kind of like a first string, second string, third string sort of thing. However, if injuries don't happen all that frequently I might try to do something different with the lineups where I have players fighting for playing time and I reward them based off how well they do in games played with cpu vs cpu.NCAA: Kentucky Wildcats

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
After 4 games in my MyLeague, my Bucks sit at 4-0. Simmed the first two games against Charlotte and Indy, both were decent wins. Next I played NY in a cpu vs cpu game and we beat them pretty handedly, but Bledsoe went down and is now out 2-4 weeks with a pulled leg muscle. So we went into the Philly matchup with a lineup of Brogdon-Middleton-Giannis-Ersan-Lopez... and beat them by 8. Led by 10-15 for most of the game until at the end where we got a little sloppy. Giannis officially made his first argument for himself as MVP in that game with 41 points, 22 rebounds, and 11 assists. Middleton also chipped in 24 (?) points including 6-10 from 3, and Brogdon has 20. As a team we went 18-47 from 3 and stifled the offensive game from Embiid and Simmons, holding them each to under 23 points. The next stretch will be tough though, going up against Toronto, Boston, and Golden State in upcoming games all without Bledsoe. So it'll be interesting to say the least.
BTW, Im using Celtic's roster with Rashidi's attributes from his roster, Barncore's ML sliders, and Schnaidt's game sliders on rookie difficulty (cant handle pro, id get killed against teams like Chicago).Last edited by itsmb8; 01-09-2019, 04:24 PM.PSN / Xbox GT - BLUEnYELLOW28Comment

I had the same problem. It's probably because you're playing at a faster pace than the sim is. What I did was set it to 11 minute quarters and set player minutes to average a normal game so it doesn't mess with mpg averages. It's worked for me so far.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
I took a significant break from 2k, but now returned to 2k18. I decided to start a 29 game a season Myleague with the Orlando Magic, a franchise, I don't know anything about and hadnt played with so far. I just wanted a team for a rebuild and I think Orlando could fit. The rosters are updated to the current season, so the 2019 will be in 2018 in my league.
I want to reorganize the franchise slowly, not as fast as I usually do. The focus in the first season is to develop the talents and tank for a high pick. I decided to trade Vucevic, as I wouldnt have resigned him anyway. He went to the Lakers alongside some filler guy. In return, I received a 2019 lot. protected first rounder, Mo Wagner and Chandler.
Unfortunately, Im still figuring out the sliders. After 9 games, Im 6-3. Most games are very close, but somehow, Im winning, even if Im not trying to. But I think Ill be able to figure it out and will be the horrible team I'm supposed to be.
My lineup right now: PG Coupain (69) - SG Fournier (78) - SF Isaac (74) - PF Gordon (78) - C Bamba (72)
Coupain plays surprisingly well, but in a limited, supporting role. Fournier, Isaac, Gordon and Bamba are all averaging double digits with Gordon having a breakout year (24 ppg, 11.5 rpg). Wagner was able to use his opportunity and is a strong scorer from the bench. The future in Disneyland is bright.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
My logic is that rondo is 34 years old and wants to get a last championship push for his career. And yes rondo was great with the pelicans with AD. They had nice duo going together but AD is in LA with lebron. He and AD can carry on that rapport in LA. idk why the pelicans would trade back rondo when they can get a young pg. When it looks like they building for the future.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2k19 MyLeague/MyGM Thread
Transitioning out of rookie contracts is super screwed up this year.
- Cant extend guys on rookie contracts, have to go into RFA
- Sometimes when I agree to a new deal in the moratorium period with one of my RFAs, it says they accept the long term contract, but when moratorium ends they have the QO.
- Sometimes I don't offer the QO to let guys walk, and when FA ends and nobody else signed them they take the QO that I didn't offer them and end up on my team.
That said I havn't seen a notable problem with CPU teams retaining good rookies. Except the Lakers lost Lonzo because they literally hit the hard cap and couldn't sign himComment
