Re: Game is stuttering!
So when you develop software and a member of the team says it isn't working correctly, you just take their word and don't ask for an example?
My game plays smooth as butter in HDR10 at 4K resolution.
I have a 43 inch 6-series off brand that cost less than $300 at walmart.
Have you gone into your xbox settings > video > 4K and changed a few options in there to test?
There is a checkbox that says something like - check this on if you are having issues with 4K and HDR...
Have a great day!Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
Just a thought on the recent topic....it's difficult, though not impossible to get around the 30 FPS video not showing stuttering/framerate issues. A lot of cell phones can do 60 FPS, and you can take an off-screen video through one that does and upload that.
It's how I finally convinced some people that I was seeing a frame rate issue with MLB The Show 16, and here's that video as an example.

You wouldn't have been able to see the ball appearing to "skip" movement frames in a 30 FPS video, and although I don't have 2k19 right now I believe the issues people are discussing here might be a similar situation.
Also, that whole ordeal taught me something very important - that some people cannot percieve the difference between 30 and 60 FPS, even when it's presented to them as clearly as this.
If someone seeing the framerate issues would be able to take a video like this, it might go a long way towards convincing people (including the devs, if they lurk here) that there's a real problem.Last edited by bcruise; 09-12-2018, 05:05 PM.Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
It's not just the ball, it's the whole game screen - the ball in flight is just the easiest way to see it.
I thought this might happen, so here's the other part of my example from back then - when the same game is running at or near 60, in a different stadium (that was the issue btw - the standard PS4 simply couldn't handle 60 FPS in certain stadiums during gameplay):
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kJiAyYJY0Do?rel=0&showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
See how much smoother and fluid the ball's flight looks? It matches the smoothness in the "shakiness" of my phone camera - it means they're both 60 FPS or very close to it. In the first one, you had that same shakiness, but the game isn't as smooth-looking - that shows that there was an issue.Comment

Both videos look identical to me. Both look extremely smooth.Comment

That's why I suggested the phone video thing, if you have one with a way of capturing 60 FPS video on it.Last edited by bcruise; 09-12-2018, 06:46 PM.Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
Turning off HDR fixed my issue. Temporary workaround. HDR makes the game look so much better. Hope they fix this soon. Such a disgrace.Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
Here in France I've seen all the reviews of the game but nobody said the game is stuttering...
And I was asking myself how could it be possible?
Two possibilities :
-They all have ps4 pro not Xbox one X
-They don't really test the games
Hum...Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
So now you guys have to figure out what is causing this handshake issue.Last edited by FormVoltron; 09-12-2018, 08:19 PM.Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
The vast majority of Xbox One X users with HDR TVs are not experiencing this handshake issue. The key in that sentence is "handshake issue" because it has already been confirmed by pimpycraig that this is what it is. It's not a game or console issue.Comment

Re: Game is stuttering!
Got mine yesterday for the One X and I immediately saw the issues. Gonna try it without HDR until they release the patch for Xbox
