I am happy to report this has resolved the Xbox One X framerate issues! My god this is so much better!
Still about one second of stuttering on opening tip, then everything seems perfect.
I did not have to re-start my system.
Interesting 2K would not acknowledge this, but they did fix it quicky. Thank you 2K team!Comment

Why are you fanboying so hard? I play on the X but the game looks identical on the Pro, didn't suffer from any frame rate issues, and also the dribble animations work as they are intended at the tier 3 threshold which they currently are not working properly on the Xbox one X. If anything it sounds like the One is an inferior version of the game then the PS4 Pro atm. And this coming from someone playing on the X, but just having an unbiased opinion.Comment

No doubt, can't stand that crap.
I bought an xbox 360 because my friends played on xbox.
I upgraded to the 1S when it was released, and now to the 1X.
Unpopular opinion incoming:
The jump from the 1S to the 1X is a minimal upgrade. Maybe it's just me - as I have a hard time telling the difference between 30fps and 60fps - but the upgrade from the 360 to the 1S was a much bigger jump.
In fact, my upgrade from a 720P tv to a 4K TV with HDR on the 1S was by far the biggest jump in graphics.
The 1X plays games a little smoother than the 1S and it is much faster - but the graphics upgrade was just minimal.
SO FAR but I only have sports games loaded at this point on the X. We'll see what happens with a single player RPG.Comment

It doesn't look identical at all. Shadows are of much higher quality - the resolution of the shadows is higher and there is more shadow detail. Most of this occurs in the crowds, which make up a sizeable portion of the background, and so this makes for higher overall contrast and more "pop" on the X.
Not sure why you think it's "fanboying" to state that the vastly more powerful console provides better results. We see video after video from Digital Foundry saying the same thing.
