I don’t know how they would do it but MyCareer needs to be more dynamic. Playing 2K19 prelude again (started a new one after getting my Switch Lite) and that in-game cut scene once you get to the Lakers about keeping the pressure on Marcus Young is hilarious when you’re up by 33 with 1:20 to play and he’s only got 6 points. lol

Just dashboard and exit application after the drills. Don’t allow the game to save. Then you’ll be able to do them again. Practice them until you get the hang of it.

I did horrible and checked to see where I went and I was drafted 11th overall lol.. but then I did it again and did way better, placing 1st in most categories except for the sprint where I was 3rd. Somehow I went 14th overall smh. I wouldn’t really worry about it to be honest. Just do well enough before the summer league and you’re good

Any tips for the combine drills?

I totally suck at them.

And what's the minimum draft projection I can afford after the drills for still having a shot at the solid 1st round?

I did horrible and checked to see where I went and I was drafted 11th overall lol.. but then I did it again and did way better, placing 1st in most categories except for the sprint where I was 3rd. Somehow I went 14th overall smh. I wouldn’t really worry about it to be honest. Just do well enough before the summer league and you’re good

Don't know if anybody else feels this way but I'm gonna say it anyway.

Short shorts for CAP is awesome but I tough this would be in Mycareer as well. Same as the "shooting" sleeves with the NBA logo. It's in CAP but not in Mycareer?

They did "better" then last year to give us the ninja headband's with are band for this year and giving us goggles for Mycareer. If all the other stuff is in the game why can't they put it in Mycareer?

Would anyone happen to know if the Free Agents you influence during the season still join you if you sign for a new team in the offseason? I know it worked in 2k19 but im nervous about simming to season 2 and the free agents i wanted are on the team i left. Can anyone confirm?

It’s actually different this year. I haven’t gotten that far yet but I watched a video on YouTube from Chris smoove and there is a cutscene that the GM brings you in his office to ask if you would like to add someone to the team (aka trade someone to get someone haha). So things seem a lot faster this year than in previous 2ks. I think it’s crazy that we actually unlock free agency influence before getting to change the lineups. I just became a starter around my 15th game. I think in about 10 more games or so I should get the ability to influence free agency too because I’m about 23 games in and I think smoove May be about 30 games in so just keep playing and performing well and it should happen. Im in the bulls and I think we could really use another center to let Wendell carter develop more but I’m sure who bc I don’t really want a stacked team.

Thanks for the reply mate. I had that exact cut scene last night. Im just hoping the free agents you select go to the team you do. We will see i guess.

If you create a shoe and spend 10K on it, do you run into the issue that it changes colorways when its on court vs the neighborhood? Trying to find this out before I spend real money on extra VC, want to make sure its not wasted.

Ok so my biggest current issue is deciding which badges are necessary for a pure slasher. I'm 6'9 190 SF, I have 30 finisher upgrades. I was going to spread them out and make HOF badges for contact finisher, giant slayer, pro touch, relentless finisher, and slithery finisher. This all leaves me with 2 badges which i was going to use on cross key scorer and lob city finisher. I play off the ball a lot so i bypassed fancy footwork, fast break finisher and tear dropper. I have not upgraded any badges yet, still trying to gather more info on the badges. Also i can't find out how much "strength" matters for a finisher this year. I only have 59 strength.

Ever since the flurry of patches and game tweaks my guy can't shoot. 91,88 (with boost) silver,steady, diff, quick draw

Bronze: deadeye.,catchnshoot,flex release

so what's your FG% and 3pt%?

I had a defense/finishing PF that I was doing well with but I am now going to make more of a shooting center due to "spacing issues" while playing with my 2 friends (aka they don't know how to use their builds lmao)

I want to do either a pure stretch C or a defense/shooting C, both 6'10" max weight.

Do y'all think the extra defense is worth significantly less shooting?

The way I'd set up my stretch C would give me 90+ mid and 3PT and 9 defense badges which I'd use mainly for Intimidator and Rebound Chaser/Box. The two-way would only have 80 mid and 76 3pt but better defense and way more defense badges but I'd also have the lowest wingspan.

IDK which one do y'all think is better?

Anyone else’s endorsements screen not showing progress after losing shoe endorsement? I stopped wearing Pumas purposely so I would lose my endorsement and I could switch shoe brands. Where it would normally shows your progress for renegotiation it now shows a faded out image of all the endorsements. I’m in year 1 in the playoffs.
