He's more of a Blake Griffin build. 6'9 about 240Lbs. I only ticked his wingspan up 1. I have the same build, same height, but he's just so slow with the ball. This build i maxed his ball handling to 61 and got his post moves to a 70. Passing is only a 50. Basically i min/maxed him to help his offensive game. My other paint beast is amazing on defense. But i figured i could take a bit off his D to help him score more. I'm already seeing immediate returns. He's only an 82 right now but i had 28 points and 27 rebounds in my last Rec game. I was matched with a low 90s OVR 6'11 Interior Force. I'm assuming he had more badges than me, but i demolished him. He had 19 points but a terrible percentage and only 9 rebounds to my 27.

I'm about to unlock rebound chaser Gold. Then I'll work on getting my blocks/interior D up. Those are only a 60 right now as well.

    As for badges I'm thinking...

    HOF:

    Contact Finisher
    Giant Slayer
    Relentless
    Slithery

    Rebound Chaser
    Rim Protector
    Intimidator
    Clamps

    Then Gold:

    Quick Draw
    Quick First Step

Then Box and Break Starter on Bronze.

With only a select amount of badges, shouldn't take me long to grind him out especially in Rec.

The good news is, at 6ft, giant slayer works even on fellow guards as 6’5 was the meta [emoji1787]

Does anyone know for sure if going down from 6'5" to 6'4" unlocks a faster jumpshot speed this year like it did in previous 2Ks?

It's tough to tell just by using the MyPlayer builder games because the jumpshot options in that are so limited.

Yup. I'm really trying to create an Iverson-like build. Giant Slayer, Acrobat, Slithery Finish, and Contact Finisher are a must for this build. From my experience (and it could be due to my playstyle), Fancy Footwork rarely activates if at all. Side note...not all dribble packages are created equal. Irving's dribble moves tend to create more Ankle Breakers, and has an interesting snatch back dribble that creates a crazy amount of space. Smack on that HOF First Step and Space Creator, and it's damn near an instant blow-by animation.

Contrary to popular belief, the only negative that I'm finding with the build is that I don't pick up as many fouls as I thought I would when I attack the paint against the bigs.

Honestly, just pick the jumpshot that you like and attach Quick Release. However, have fun creating and taking shots due to good spacing instead of trying to find the quickest release.

Nahhhh From my experience it doesn't. I have a 6'3 Play Shot and a 6'5 Play Shot as well. All quickdraw's feel the exact same with both. There's no super quick release this year based on height.

Yeah I went with the shooting/def pie chart, so I’m not that rich in offensive/playmaking badges

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.

Out of boredom, I tried to make a LeBron-esque build as balanced as possible (I'm aware of the popular LeBron builds).

Blue/Yellow Pie with the Vertical/Agility pie.
SG, 6'7", default wingspan, max weight.
                      12/10/10/11

Gets all contact dunks (aside from Big Man), 78 (82 at 99) Ball Control, 70 (74) mid range, 60 (64) three (I'm comfortable hitting my shots). Time will tell if it's viable in Park or Rec, but I think I'll like it despite not getting as many badges. Should be good enough to play 1 through 4.

As far as badge distribution, I know for sure I want Contact Finisher at HOF but would like suggestions elsewhere on finishing since I'll have 8 more. Shooting: I usually run silver Quick Draw, Gold Range Extender, Bronze Deadeye, Silver Corner Specialist, and Silver Catch and Shoot.

Not sure what I want for my 10 playmaking badges, but I'm thinking Gold Quick First Step and Silver Unpluckable for sure. Defensively, I'm looking at Gold Intimidator, Clamps and Rebound Chaser. Bronze Chase Down, Interceptor, and Pick Pocket.

I dunno, Dawgie. I would be scared to use that build. It's like you have a scoring PG who can play above average defense, but....not a strong passer. That's going to be tough at 6'0". Who was you modeling your player after of?

I used the Play/Def pie chart. I wanted to create a player with great handles to break down the defense and create opportunities, but rarely have turnovers. I wanted the defense due to my old-school mindset that believes that the PG is still the head of the snake, and you have to put pressure at the point of the attack. I rolled with finishing over shooting, because IRL I was never a scorer/shooter. However, I could keep the defense honest by hitting open shots. I wanted the finishing, because I wanted to be able to attack the basket with the speed/acceleration of the build if a lane opened up.

Idk, i think thats a pretty good build. Idk about being 6' even. But it looks like he can score in all facets. Her can shoot, drive, dribble and will be able to get steals. He looks like he gets a decent amount of badges too.
