    That sounds interesting...

And I don't see speed with the ball under the playmaking group.
I wonder if it falls under the physical group of attributes.
Yup it seems stopped tying ratings into badges. I wonder who effective those defensive ratings will be being as unless you use defensive assist, those ratings are traditionally not affective since you are controlling player. I feel either it'll help shot contests or determine if you get sucked into animations on defense.

Yeah speed with ball will be apart of physical profile. I wasn't sure at first whether they'd put Lat Quickness there too but makes sense they still keep it with defense. Still want to know whether Physical Profile is maxed at first or is it something you still have to upgrade as you go.

Physicals are very important to me too, more than shooting.

In the last 3 years I went for very balanced builds in terms of strenght, speed and speed w/ ball.
My goal would be something like 80 in speed and speed w/ball and 70 in strenght.
Hopefully I can do that in 2k20

Something i will probably try is making a 6'7-6'10 that has the stats/badges as evenly distributed as possible, basically a jack of all trades master of none.

Will probably make something like my 2k17 6'10 Paint Protector, chuck everything possible into D(since this includes Rebounding as well) and whatever is left over into Dunks, should be like Dwight Howard with his FT and shooting ability as well.😁

I'm thinking of doing the same but with a baby jumper. I don't know how effective hooks shots are this year but it's a good a thing 2k is letting us test builds this year before committing to one.

I had this build as a 6'9 240 SF and was pretty unstoppable. The defense was the most surprising tho.

Thats exactly what im thinking. The thing that im looking for is if everything is around a 70, does that open up all the badges?

I read that you have to have a 90 three to get catch and shoot HOF but that limits you to only a few HOFs. But if everything is a 70 does that mean I'm only getting bronze? If anything is an 80 it would be finishing. I want to catch a body sometimes but ill probably use a different takeover. The slasher takeover is nice for leveling up Posterizer but it essentially tells everyone "IM RUNNING TO THE PAINT TO DUNK ON YOUR WHOLE,TEAM" so ill probably use the shot creator or defensive takeover.

Depending on how it is, i want physicals in 80s. Finishing 80s. Shooting 70s and defense 80s.

Depending how height is weighted probably 6'8-6'10.

I like the potential of the MyPlayer Build. Really have the chance to create your ideal player. Especially with the badge points depending on how you allocate attributes. With the 1-4 point badge system, you determine how many badges you get. Like the scenario when the YouTuber got 46 badge points with the 27-9-9-1 layout. So with that you can go a few different routes. You can go top heavy and have 10 HOF badges and 3 bronze badges. You can have it balanced with mixture of badge tiers. Or you have 46 bronze badges. The choice is yours.
Really like the you can test your build at different overalls. I wonder if we can test it at unlimited overalls for the limited amount builds we can try out. I want to try out my build at a few different overalls. It's nice that we can try out our players at 99 with maxed badges. But unless it is a lot quicker to get to 99 like they have said, I usually only go to 90 even though I only do 1 build. So it will be nice to see how my player will play at that level. But I really want to see a difference between 78 and 90 OVR. Because in previous years there wasn't a big difference.

Think I'm gonna go for 2 builds this year.

1st is going to be my point forward type slashing/defender - with the main focus being on athleticism/defense and ball handling.

if i can get to the rim at 6'9 with speed, and dish the ball once i collapse the D, then I'm good. With maxed out athleticism, i intend to play how I do on D as an elite help defender but hopefully in this game some better on ball D coz my build in 2k19 really let me down there.
Can't wait to finally get rim protector at SF (if possible)

2nd build will be guard, 6'6/6'5 and basically a Bradley Beal/Devin Booker type guy, the perfect 2nd option, in case I find myself on a team where being the main paint threat and distributor at a forward spot is bad for team dynamics.

Yo forreal this is the big ticket.

I remember on 2k18 as soon as I got my guy to 91 he was insane. but every level before, he was just garbage. on this one, at 93 I feel he's adequate enough to get me my buckets but is still not as good as my 2k18 build, and can get wrecked by LDDs, especially with bad walk on teammates. had a horrible time while at 90/91 - felt like a 70.

On 2k16 i specifically remember how each attribute level I got to really made an impact on how fun my guy was to use. I remember as soon as I got my handles and athleticism maxed my guy was super fun, then as I added more skills - shooting, finishing, post moves, i felt the incremental development of my guy into a complete baller. I hope 2k20 can give me this feeling again.

Yall know how in 2k, the higher reps gave you more attribute points or like the road to 99 increased your badge level, what do yall expect the higher rep or level will grant you this year because you know they going to have us grind for something? I was thinking maybe more badge points than the 45-49 you start off with. Maybe like legend 1 gives you 10 extra points, legend 2 and legend 3 grants you 5 each for a total of 20 extra points once you maxed out. That's 4 extra hall of fame badges or 5 gold or however you want to mix it up

Thats why I didn't care for the archetype system. You were a role player until you got past 90 and maxed badges. My player didn't feel different until I got to 90 and started maxing badges. Hopefully in 2k20, I see the different in my build as I increase. I think it should be depending on how you allocate your ratings and choose to upgrade your player. If you do a balanced upgrading, then you won't be elite at anything until you get to about 90, but then you'll be elite at your build. But if you focus on primary skills first then slowly build up other skills, there will be a big different between a 75 and 90
