God, I hope the upgrades badges don't stack. That would really suck.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I can see why some might not like that someone can have a HOF badge for the Tertiary or possible the worst skill. But I just hope that the HOF gets balanced out by lower rating. For me, I'm not sure if I will even try for a HOF badge for my 3rd or 4th skill. Unless I want a particular skill at HOF, I plan on getting Silver or Bronze badges at the skills to get more all around game but same time keep it balanced.Comment

That would be nice actually. If I have a 60s 3pt, no way should I get HOF shooting badge.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
But with a 45 or so badge point limit, I’m not overly concerned with people stacking a few HoF badges.
I think I’d be more scared of someone with 1 or 2 HoF badges and 25 other badges, then one guy with 10 badges. Though cheese potential would be high.NBA: Wizards

Hopefully 2k Labs or a program like that get this nailed down soon. I feel like it's going to take a lot of experimenting.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
that was discussed in a thread as a possible solution to badge cheese with bad ratings.. hasn't been confirmed or denied - so we'll have to wait and seeComment

I believe I heard that too. That will limit somewhat how many HoF badges folks will have.

if defensive stopper (clamps or whatever its called now) is still gonna remove badges and lower attribute ratings then the system will stay cheesy - and will require cheesy badge levels to compensate for it.
Imagine quick first step is nullified coz you're playing vs a lockdown and your player is suddenly slow - everyone will hone in on the HOF badges for the play style they have and the gameplay will become 1 dimensional.
I'd prefer everyone had a nice balance of HOF badges in this instance so even if playing vs a lockdown i could still play how I want, just to a lesser extent.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I still found weird (to say the least) that 2k doesn't publish the precise effects of badges on stats and attributes and how they differ between bronze, silver, etc etc.
You'd think that those are basic info to know before deciding your build and spend time (and money eventually) on it.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Here you are, that's how 2k20 myplayer creator works
Basically it's more of an archetype creator than a player creator since you can choose between different preset combination of the 4 skills (finishing, playmaking, etc etc) rather than choose your own combination.
Badges points don't stack, so you can easily have a lot of hof badges.
Not really sure how I feel about.Comment

I really like the physical preset choices, the Agility+Strength with not much Vertical looks like a Draymond Green type whereas the Vertical+Agility with not much Strength is a Mitchell Robinson/JaVale McGee type.Comment
