Vertical and Strength don't seem important for driving dunks, my Two Way Slashing Playmaker currently has 48 Strength and 70 Vertical and I'm dunking alot, dunk packages definetly make a difference with Westbrook being my favourite.

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Is it possible to make a 7"3 C that has decent shooting (70 close, 70 mid, 65-70 3pt), decent athleticism (70 lateral quick, 70 speed, 65-70 accel), decent rebounds (70s off and def) and decent post scoring? Some passing would be nice too, like around the 60s.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
LMAO, to get 70 speed you'd have to be 6'10/6'11 Max😂Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Would you also like him to be able to speed boost and be a dribble god as well?Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
He doesn't have to be very fast, actually, so lower speed is fine. What about the other stats, are they feasible?Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
For anybody worried about vertical playing a part in rebounding....it doesn't. It just comes down to the rebounding rating and whether or not you have rebound chaser.
I can snag with my 6"9 Pure playmaker. I have 80 Defensive Rebounding and Bronze Rebound Chaser and I'm regularly pulling down 10-15 rebounds a game at SF and PF no matter who I'm matched up with. It's harder to get rebounds at SG simply because thats where all the sharps end up at and it's generally not a good idea to go chase a rebound unless your big men are that bad or are getting worked on the glass.
Rebound Chaser also helps me get some offensive rebounds I have no business getting. My vertical is 58.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Looking for some feedback
I'm reasoning about two versions of basically the same build: 6'7" SG playmaker/lockdown and 6'8" SF playmaker/lockdown.
The SG will obviously be faster and with more badges (at least 3 golds more); but if the grinding for badges is awful as they say I'm not sure it's a clear advantage. He will also be more steals oriented on defense.
The SF, I like having him 6'8 with no particular reason. For boosting def badges, I had to spend a lot of potential upgrades in rebounding and almost zero in stealing. Personally I would be fine with that (l consider myself a good defender but not a great stealer, and I love running the transtion after grabbing a rebound) but probably online you would need some high rating for steal spamming.
It's important that at 6'8 I would still cap just enough ball control (70) and driving dunks (80) for unlocking pro dribble animations and good dunking packages (including those I used in past 2ks).
Thoughts?Comment

I think you'll be fine. 1, 2, 3 all seem 6'7 or under since nobody wants to use the SF archetype due to less badges.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I haven't made a Guard under 6'5 since 2k16 but decided to go with a 6'3 Playmaking Shot Creator at PG. I was worried about being a defensive liability but the build is pretty damn good and I only have 2 badges. HOF Quick Draw and HOF Quick First Step. Can't wait to max him out.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I think I have finally decided on a build to play with, similar to what I've played with last few years except don't think 3pt shooting will be as good but I wanted a really athletic guy this time around.
Slashing Playmaker 6'5" wing span only 77 similar to Kobe Bryant, James Harden and Donavan Mitchell
close shot 90
driving layup 91
driving dunk 90
standing dunk 37
mid range 76
3pt 66
FT 83
post fade 82
pass Acc 88
ball handle 91
post moves 93
interior D 39
perimeter D 76
lateral quick 72
steal 72
block 32
both reb 30
Speed 89, Acc 88, Vert 95, str 61 Takeover is Slasher, thought about Shot Creator.
Edit: I hate this game right now...(not really)...just made a Offensive threat build that so far seems to play just like what I've been playing last few years so may be changing to this instead of what I have posted above.Last edited by Sinner; 09-09-2019, 04:16 PM.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Build I have now tops at 83 on driving dunk, just want to make sure I can get buffs or whatever to get it to 85 so I can get contact dunks right?-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Question; I dont know if anyone will know the answer. I was looking at making a 6'3" Offensive Threat and I want to make him a sg. The issue I have is more badges are listed on screen (before height/weight adjustments) with him at pg but after all adjustments the attribute caps are exactly the same. Do the amount of total badges change when you make height/weight/wingspan adjustments, or are they locked in after your original attribute allocation?Comment
