Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Anyone hoping to get 99 OVR is not going to get it in career, was at 97.0 before this game on HOF and got 97.1 performance OVR, in a 3vs3 ProAm game winning with 8pts 1ast 4/5 FG got a 99.1 performance OVR.Attached FilesComment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I absolutely love my 6'7 2 way finisher. Im 93 OVR at the moment. With Boost, most of my defensive stats 95-99 including Offensive and Defensive rebounding. My only weak defensive stat is interior defense and that is at 84 with a boost, overall i can "hold off" most centers in park if i have good teammates that can score efficiently and quickly.
The way i play with this build is..I mainly run Rec and some park. This guy Averages 12 rebounds per game in the Rec easily since i have 99 offensive and 99 defensive rebounds. When i play park, most of the time it puts me on the big man. Other than that, i clamp up with one on one situations and watch the passing lanes.
Here is my Dilemma, i get 30 Defensive badge points, i want elite defense but i also HAVE to have my rebounding and thats just not enough points. I need your opinion guys?
The way i look at it, the following badges are a MUST have on HOF: Intimidator (OP badge) Clamps, Pick Pocket, Interceptor and Pick Dodger.....thats 20 badge there.
That leaves me 10 badge points and i really want some combination of the following badges:
Chase Down, Pogo Stick, REBOUND CHASER, Rim Protector and maybe Worm.
LIke i said rebounding is my bread and butter in the Rec, especially offensive rebounding. I think i average more offensive than defensive rebounds honestly.
How would you allocate the last 10 points..do you just say Fk it and go HOF Rebound Chaser then do silver the rest.......or maybe the first 5 must have badges, make 1 or 2Gold instead of HOF? What would be your priority for basically a lockdown build that can switch to guard all 5 positions?Comment

Rebound Chaser- Not sure how much of a difference this makes, have seen people saying its not like 2k19 that turns big into rocket jumpers.
Rim Protector- Depends on whether you want/need to block shots, you already have HOF Intimidator so it might not be necessary to get blocks to force misses inside. That Takeover Bar boost for your teammates is nice however.
Pogo Stick- Zion in the rosters has this on Gold and was blocking Porzingis in a career game, could be because of 99 Vertical but it looks like a really good badge imo
Worm- Alot of C builds that are DEF/REB will probably have Gold/HOF box, would be great against builds apart from those
Two badges that you didn't list that could be helpful especially against bigs
Moving Truck- Makes it alot harder for bigs to postup or establish post position
Post Move Lockdown- Being 6'7 bigs that are decent are going to try and dropstep you repeatedly so this would help.Comment

Chasedown- Kind of a situational badge

Overall im just amazed how well this 6'7 build competes with bigs in park, considering once i get the ball i have 93 speed with ball and contact dunks. Once i get a rebound, a big is not catching me, so perfect to run the break.
I realized Rec and Park will have to be 2 different specs.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Does anyone have any insight on the Worm badge? Im dreaming of finally being able to make a prime Rodman build in 2k. In past 2ks I never really felt any build at 6'7 was viable enough while replicating his playstyle.Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
choose the big red pie chart and go all-in on the reb/def stats & badges (30 defensive badges)
might make him 6'8 or the cpu might put you as a SF in the gamesComment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
Thanks, but I asked specifically about the worm badge because this is what would make the build shine especially on the offensive boards. Just wanna know if the badge is worth it and if its effective...Comment

Re: Official 2k20 MyPlayer Build Thread.
I tested at gold it with my Magic Johnson build, and I was hitting them from the FT line with nice consistency.
I'm curious to see it at HOF, with high post hook ratings and some release masteringComment
