Saw my first block and catch at the same time this morning. Pretty nice. Losing 3 in a row in my season not so much lol.

      Edit: here is the clip

Minor thing but the Player of the Game seems really dumb this year. I see guys with very few points winning it at times. I think they over emphasized rebounds and secondary stats and they should probably also look at missed shots. I’d still prefer it if they announced it after the game instead of the 4th quarter when the outcome hasn’t been decided.

The replays in general are pretty terrible. Can't tell what's going on sometimes, bad angles and they go by way too quickly.

The way the CPU handles lineups and rotations is still unrealistic, especially when it comes to the 4 and the 5. Just played the Blazers in MyLeague and they started Nurkic at the 4 and Whiteside at the 5. The reason is obvious, the Blazers basically have no wings and the CPU sees two high ranked centers and plays them together. But you see that happen far too often all around, while in the NBA it rarely happens at all and if it does, it's for limited periods of time (and even then, like in case of Jokic and Plumlee, there is some sense to it based on player skills).

Does the CPU teams still make 4-5 man hockey subs? Does the CPU still play their starting lineup at the end of the game during blowouts?

For my fellow STRICTLY OFFLINE players, what do you guys think about 2K20 now? Gameplay good? Movement good? Footplanting, etc? I like the game. How about you guys?

Yes to the former, as for the latter I think it's a bit better, at least when there's a really big blowout they'll play subs for most of the 4th quarter, but they're still prone to bringing in the starters again for no reason at all.

It was such a pain to set each CPU’s team rotation and substitution patterns to mimic their real life counterpart when I used to play 2K. I hated seeing unrealistic subs made by the opposing CPU team.

When I start a myleague I'll make sure I grab a roster with advanced rotations. It has it's downsides as far as foul trouble and late game blowouts but to me it's much better than the mass subs you get from the cpu on default.

This is what I'm also wondering before picking up the game. As a strictly offline player who only plays franchises (or whatever it's called in 2k), does the gameplay keep you wanting to come back and play games?

To be fair we still need to wait on those opening day rosters to see what lineups will be.

Some of these players like Nurkic won't even be on the active roster.

I am also only playing offline. But if you are playing on PS4 Pro, hold off, because the game is stuttering which, for a lot of us, makes it pretty unplayable. Beyond the stuttering, though, I was really impressed with the overall gameplay when the game came out. The graphics are also significantly improved imo.

However, the game appears to change weekly. To me, some of the movements/dribbling animations seem so much faster than at the beginning, but this may also be due to more familiarity with the game.

Overall, I like the gameplay but I am so disgusted with 2k as a company that I wouldn't recommend buying the game. Even with the 4 patches the game is still broken in many ways and for us PS4 Pro players there hasn't even been an acknowledgment of the stuttering issue on 2k's end (as far as I know). I will definitely not pre-order the game next year and hope others won't, either, in order to send 2k a clear message that their business practice is just unacceptable.
