First and foremost, you are 100% wrong that slider adjustments automatically puts you back on rookie. This is factually wrong since DaCzar, a 2K developer, stated that you set in on a particular level and adjust sliders from there. It’ll still be on the level you set it on originally, even though it shows ‘custom’.



Secondly, I play on HOF default. So no, not all of the forums tinkers with the sliders. I routinely beat the computer, and the gameplay is NOT the same every time..



Certain games it’s a shootout where the CPU and I shoot over 50%. Other games it can be a grinder with low percentages and sloppy play. It varies depending on matchup, my level of focus and adjustments throughout the game.



My question to you is how long have you had the game? Maybe there are shooting a high percentage because your defense is routinely lackluster.



I’d recommend trying Pro if Allstar is frustrating you and causing you to blame the game and attack the forums, young blood.

Man this game i tell ya, i actually went out of my way to create an account to wage some war on the apologists of this game because wow... the level of incompetence i see on this site makes me assume these r the same ppl that watch new disney/marvel/SW movies, these r the werido's that just say"why are u so negative.. cant u just like stuff" ... like wow no iq points for those mouth breathers... anyways to the meat of this garbage...



The game is what it is & apparently 90% of u weirdo's play exclusively online & all that BS... i will never understand how ppl r actually happy "renting" a game, but the fact is when u r willing to drop that much money on a game u r a very sick individual & thats just plain obvious but I play only offline, like a normal person..!



The only point i want to start harping on around here is all these "2k apologists" r straight up liars & i see a few on here all the time... u ppl DO NOT PLAY ON DEFAULT DIFFICULTY whatsoever.. in fact the second u "change a slider" u render difficulty useless & the game reverts back to a semblance of rookie... in all these games once u neuter the CPU of whatever it is they do to cheat.. well now u will win 10 in a row cuz U CHANGED THE SLIDERS & R NOW PLAYING ON ROOKIE...



On actual superstar default difficulty the game plays the exact same time every game... By the end of any game the cpu will be around 60% but the way they get there is ridiculous.. in reality the cpu shoots 75% & up for 3 quarters & than purposefully missed a bunch of shots in the 4th quarter to level off the percentages... if the play bad in the 1st quarter than just reverse the algorithym... either way its unplayable & its every game.. but plz keep "pretending u r on HOF default" when each & every one of u so obviously r modding multiple sliders & than coming on here pretending that isnt the case... cheaters & frauds r the only ppl who get joy out of this piece of garbage

I think 2K20 will end up being unappreciated like 2K16 and 2K14 last gen was until we take a look back...from a gameplay standpoint.

Game has a lot to improve upon still but it's got a lot going for it IMO.

It's hard to gauge the gameplay improvements when it constantly changes from patch to patch and update to update, at it's best it's been the best tho

There was an update earlier today, anybody feels any difference? Defense feel better/tighter to me, I had almost every defensive slider at 100 before but now it´s really tough so both me and CPU are shooting around 40% or lower.

Been playing 2k since 2k2 I think. I’ve never been really disappointed with the game. Maybe an issue here or there but mostly I enjoy every year. I haven’t played much yet but when I do play, the game doesn’t seem to flow as well as it usually does. Nothing seems as smooth. Shooting & play calling seem to be more of an effort. Maybe it’s just different and I’ll adjust. Game looks great!

The CPU is still losing their man and it is so easy to drive to the whole and score.. C mon 2k you have got to fix this immediately. This is on superstar with adjusted sliders to make the defense harder and its still easy... Also theirs a slight animation hiccup by the CPU when attempting to block a shot it stops and then start again...

My favorite is the go ti phrases here.. like play better defense... hahaha u know when i just tap out of games... when the cpu just starts blocking through the back board & swiping through the nets.. of course they always warp through each other & user player body parts to get the job done.. but yeah the fact that physics has no bearing on this game must some how be my fault...

U guys r pathetic... really, at least admit how unforgiving this game is on SS & up.. but u wont... because again most of u tinker the sliders but dont admit it, the rest of u must be compulsive liar fan boys because there is no reasonable way u could overlook the sheer over powering, court tilting, lack of physics at all flat out cheating that goes on in every single game on this broken piece of ****.... just crazy.. do u guys also like batwoman, cuz i have noticed a pattern with the beta males..? dont bother answering, i generalize u guys, because u r very easy to spot.. sry not sry

Is there a way where i can strip the game off of its patches ??
Because since release day i had a blast superstar default played so smooth and i had great games in myleague but after the patches started i totally lost the appetite to play myleague and only play rec center because the cpu is on some BS every game .

I dont even want to get into the details about what and how its it's just unplayable right now for me .

I was wondering if i can delete the patches and have the game as it came on release day. Thanks ror any info

So guys!
I'm still on 2k19 (2k20 rosters though)
Is it worthwhile upgrading to 20?
Missed a massive deal on it (Xbox had a free to play weekend and 50% ish off)

I'm mainly a myleague guy,even though I'd give mycareer a go again (less VC grind this year?).

I know there's no new features on myleague and mygm is a step in the wrong direction right?

Overall gameplay thoughts,I play with sliders (popboys and shady mike's)

Thoughts?

No more slow bigs being brick walls on perimeter. Ratings matter a lot more. Guys like Derrick Rose can attack and slash to the basket. Slower guys can’t. Defensive ratings really matter as they can stop you. Defensive rotations are better. I like the gameplay a lot more than 19. MyLeague is similar.
