I wish XBone gave an estimated time but either way I ain't gonna be able to play tonight lol. I probably don't have the fastest internet. It's been downloading a probable good hour and a half and mine is only on 24% completion, so probably about a 6 hour download for me.

I get that it's aggravating but I really appreciate the patches we've had so far. I thought 1.05 was really good in terms of fixing the team options glitch and at least providing some type of offline GM Mode. I know those modes still need improvement but...that's what these patches are for.

Truthfully, this has been my biggest gripe about the patches. Now, we have to guess what changes were made the gameplay.

and listen to a bunch of "in their head only" posts about how changed certain aspects of game play are.

Imagine buying a sandwich. Halfway through the sandwich, the person who made it takes it to the back for like 20 minutes and brings it back to you.

You ask them what they did and they say they added more lettuce, took away some mayo, and “many more changes”.

Then they fade back into the kitchen, telling you nothing more.

This is basically what 2k does when they drop these 15+ gig patches, with 3 lines of patch notes and say “many more fixes”. Fix up 2k cmon man

Love that they are working on the game. Those that are upset, will be upset. I do agree that hopefully the gameplay doesn’t get changed AND they need to explain what they did to the tiniest detail in these.. but cmon now.

Ppl complain 2k don’t listen.. okay, 2k uses a patch to fix things to make ppl happy or a demographic happy.. they could of just left this game how they gave it to us, and we would of kept crying but STILL bought next years.


If it’s art updates, we need to know cause there are a demo of ppl that love those things. Whatever the case, try to look at this as improvements and “hearing the community”.

It’s World Mental Health Day, let’s try to look at the positive even though there are hella things that are frustrating in the game. 😊

Just chill dang you complaining because your situation is different.
No put out a game that doesn't require 6 patches in a month.

I paid $60 for 2K, yet I've spent an extra $40 in 30 days because my internet provider charges me extra when I go over my limit.
I have 2 PS4s in my house so 200GBs in updates.

The reason why the update was so big imo is probably because of this park event that's supposed to happen this weekend. I've noticed after every huge patch there's a major park change that follows. This weekend is the race car event. [emoji102]

The filesize of the original game was about 48 Gigs... on Day 1. (on the PS4)

Patches that are over 10+ or 20+ gigs in filesize is equivalent to "needing updates" to between 1/3 to 1/2..... OF ALL THE CODE & GRAPHIC ASSETS IN THE WHOLE GAME.

If you are updating ALMOST HALF of the code in a single patch.... it means your software probably was NOT tested thoroughly enough. Because that's 35%-50% of the whole game needing "changes".

If you are updating ALMOST HALF of the code... at least once per week... for a whole month... and you drop 6 different patches in less than 35 days... it usually means your software was released "way too early."

That is completely UNACCEPTABLE Software Development Quality in most other businesses.

Solution?

Wait an extra 35 days before releasing the software to the "general public". Problem Solved.

The very fact that certain graphic elements (like the ENTIRE user interface of the "options" menu) were COMPLETELY modified to add iconography is a clear indication that the product "was not completed" by Day 1.

The reality is... the game should have dropped during the first week of October (Instead of early September) and there would probably only be 1 or 2 patches by now.... Not 6.... And there wouldn't be 90+ GIGS worth of "edits" made over the last 6 weeks... for a game that is only 48 GIGS total filesize.

Just my opinion.

I’m not complaining, just don’t understand people complaining when things get fixed because “the file size is too big.”

I’m an offline player so I don’t really care if they fix park/my career stuff.

I understand people saying don’t release a game that needs 6 patches but you know what company you are buying a game from and their history. At this point you accept it or don’t buy it.
