Ok tried the patch and I don't see anything major updated on the gameplay front. Maybe they tweeked it but who knows? CPU green releases are still there and still annoying as ****. WAY TOO MANY GREENS WHEN THE CPU GOES FOR A LAYUP.

Why do they do the patch notes like its the little things thread where players will have to discover whats added? It's ridiculous!

      Indeed.

I was thinking this as I was posting Harden's move.

Why make things like brand new animations and scans an Easter Egg hunt?

I mean, some games, like for example The Division, have the equal of 10 pages of Word on every patch release, 10 pages of explanation on every single thing that's been touched. If you write "many more fixes" I read it as "too many fixes to write them down it would take too much time".

Then I suspect that the fixes are not so many and the other 22 GB of data is MyPark stuff like two Formula 1 car that spin around a basketball court or a castle with basketball court in it. I really miss the old time offline NBA 2K... I'm an old timer...

Man no offense to whoever chose to keep it this way, but it was such a silly idea if we're being honest. I mean can't you at least give us the option to turn this stuff off? It's like they straight up just forgot about the immersiveness. Not everyone wants to see things on the screen...some ppl just want to have an immersive basketball experience. All these on screen stuff (percentages, green release flashes, ect) really kill that kind of experience.

I get that it's aggravating but I really appreciate the patches we've had so far. I thought 1.05 was really good in terms of fixing the team options glitch and at least providing some type of offline GM Mode. I know those modes still need improvement but...that's what these patches are for.
xbox does give an estimated time and percentage. its been that way since the last xbox update. not 2k update. but MS xbox update.

                "Patch note" 2K can't even do that part properly. Basically the notes are;
                "We fixed some stuff, here."

Maybe they should wait until he actually uses it in the regular season and find out how well he can hit it.

But it's 2k and a star so I'm sure he will be coded to knock it down at 70% and the fanboys will whine that he doesn't hit it at a higher percentage

The game just needs more time before it’s released. I appreciate their continued effort to improve the game but if the game released now, wouldn’t it be better? Maybe maybe not.

People complaining about an early release date... it's simple, the game HAS to come out every year on this date, ready or not. If it's not ready it will be patched. These are commercial laws unfortunately and I don't like them too. I don't have Internet problems like speed or caps, but I don't like the "many more fixes" approach when reading patch notes.

Regarding the size of patches I agree on the fact that they must be art updates for MyPark events, clothing you can purchase, and hopefully art that impacts all different game modes. I'm an offline MyLeague player, so I always hope for new uniforms, new art for the arenas, new shoes, new face updates, accessories updates. All the STATEMENT uniforms have been introduced in the last few days. That's the kind of art I care about.
Respectfully, I Disagree with the red part.
The release date of the game is tied to the start of the NBA Regular Season.

                      NBA Season Start Dates...

                      2010–11 NBA Season: October 26, 2010
2011–12 NBA Season: December 25, 2011 (lockout year)
                      2012–13 NBA Season: October 30, 2012
                      2013–14 NBA Season: October 29, 2013
                      2014–15 NBA Season: October 28, 2014
                      2015–16 NBA Season: October 27, 2015
                      2016–17 NBA Season: October 25, 2016
                      2017–18 NBA Season: October 17, 2017
                      2018–19 NBA Season: October 16, 2018
                      2019–20 NBA Season: October 22, 2019

I remember about 9-10 years ago when 2K used to drop the game about 3 weeks before the official start of the NBA Regular Season.

But notice that the release dates get pushed up. Year after year. While the NBA season start dates have remained largely the same. (i.e. they usually start the season during the last week in October.)

This year, they dropped NBA 2k20 game a whole 7.5 weeks BEFORE of the start of the NBA Regular Season, which provides them an "extra month" of sales... but also reduces the final Q/A Testing Period by a "whole month" at the same time.

If they had stuck to their "3-weeks of lead time before the NBA season starts" cycle... this year's game could've dropped during the first week in October (i.e. anywhere between September 30th to October 3rd) awhich gives 3 weeks of lead time before the NBA regular season starts...

And if they dropped the game during that first week in October... then we (probably) don't get 4 (out of 6) patches that total over 70+ GiGs worth of "last minute edits" during the month of September.

                      Just my opinion.

The NBA decides the release date of the game I believe. In the past both 2K and Live had to release at the same time, by contract.

They lost a "day" between NBA 2K19 and NBA 2K20....no matter the release date, it's still basically a one-year development period. The gradually pushed back the release date over many years before it became almost two months before the official season starts. For us PNO players, that's two months that we get to play with an injury-free roster.

I can think of a few reasons why patch notes are no longer included:

                                1. Too many things to patch means people will complain how they released a game with some of the listed bugs

                                2. People will complain that the bug that annoys them isn't fixed - potentially because not many bugs were fixed or much content was added

                                3. The size of the patch doesn't even remotely correlate to the fixes listed and poses more questions/complaints

                                4. They are so busy fixing things that patch notes are not high on the list of priorities
