Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
Because I don't want to make another thread.. I'm posting this here. Why? Why steal the moment from me the game? I'm usually excited when I get buzzer beater. Like who isn't!? But this is the worst nightmare coming true.

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
I thought when I turned off the shot meter, this would also turn off the green splash. I dont get the green every time. Do u think this is 2k way of a player knowing that the second the ball left his hands, he knew it was good. Like when Dame hit that shot last year to put OKC away, he knew that was money.Comment

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
The more that I see this stupid green splash effect the more annoyed I get. A CPU player will get a green splash that pops up in the middle of the second quarter and the CPU player starts going nuts with a celebration before the shot even goes in.
How does this replicate real basketball? I understand some people want arcade stuff like that, but give us the OPTION to turn it off! Please 2K, this is stupid.Comment

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
It's a bad design decision. I understand user agency and skill gap and all that but it should be optional. I'm in the playoffs of my ML, I have the playing great for me. I have had the tension sucked out of 3 games so far because either myself, or the CPU, green splashed right after release.

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
can't even play 5 vs 5 this year especially on superstar difficulty. Everyone is a sharpshooter on SS and seeing all those greens kill the game for me.
why box out if you know the shot is falling at release. At least give us the option of real fg% for online if this is the direction they're going.Comment

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
Why the hell do people think a NBA player KNOWS when they're shot is going in???? They can spew that nonsense at the mic after the game is over, but they're just doing that so the fans can eat that crap up. There's nothing wrong about being confident that the shot was going in, but this whole "I knew it was good when I released the ball" garbage is complete BS.
so u don't think Curry or Harden can tell if their on or not, its something they can feel. Me & you wouldn't understand. They shoot thousands of jumpshots, so saying it BS, is your opinion & I understand where you coming from, but these are the greatest shooters in the league.Comment

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
no u weren't a 100% sure it was goin in ….lol he was. I remember when Harden crossed somebody up then he fell down, Harden looked down at him "like u cant guard me" then nailed a 3, great shooters know. IDK why 2k put it in, I was just giving my 2 centsComment

Great shooters don't know, shooters know when it's not going in.Comment

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
Here is proof that they don't know. If Curry celebrates before the ball hits the rim and misses than that's the proof. He thought it was going in but it didn't. Shots can feel good coming out of the hand but nothing is 100%. Their not magicians.Comment

I have yet to meet ANYONE who just knows when they're shot is going in. I have seen players (myself included) call "buckets" and airball the hell out of the ball, and I have seen players (myself included) scream "Off, off, off!" and the shot goes in.
Like I said before...the green release logic of "Players know when they're shot is going in" is complete BS. Basketball is basketball. NBA players are just better at it, but they're not superhuman or psychic.Comment

Re: How to turn off green splash effect?
I wouldn’t say I know when my shots going in but I know for sure when it’s like 70 percent chance to go in, and I know when it’s off, I’m a real life sharpshooter and have played ball since elementary school in recs, outdoors, and etc, I’ll say great shooters know that it’s a high percent of them making it, honestly sometimes I know it’s going in and it doesMy Teams
