Looks like stretches will be returning. A 7'3 big can get an 81 3

    @7:55

Edit: I wonder how Post Fade will work?? Seems bigs that are 7' and above are capped 83 midrange and 81 3 point shot

A damn 81????? Wow! After badges for your build and boosts from other builds, that 81 will EASILY be above 90. Damnit...my gut is saying that there will be a lot of 5-Out in REC. If they don't make strength matter or make that I'm not pulled into layups animations, the interior force/finisher will be dead.

Strength will definitely matter, it always has. 81 isn't THAT high, but I imagine pretty lethal if left wide open with HOF badges. I wonder how good a 75 3 point shot will be.... Also you forget that wingspan decreases your shooting ability, we'll see how many bigs increase their wingspan, as most do. And then we don't know what these 7'3 Centers will do with speed and acceleration, maybe they'll keep it at 25 which would be extremely detrimental. There will be no 5-Out in REC unless you run into formed teams.

Me personally, I don't mind my guy sitting in the corner the entire game, easy defense for me. But I can see bigs maxing shooting and defense and leaving everything else empty. 3&D will be back this year when we thought it was dead from 2k20, so we might have to finesse with scoring. I scored on Locks last year so I think I'll be fine.

You'd better have an interior force/finisher that can at least shoot the midrange or it's gonna be a struggle going against maxed 3&D.

Pause it right at the 7:53. It will show all the attributes for a 7'3", 252 lb center.

However, that's the difference between you and I. I get bored with "easy defense".

Here's a power forward at 7' with what looks like normal wingspan, IDK. But there's an 86 3 ball. It's a 2 way stretch, exactly what I predicted. 90s in defense and mid 80s shooting. However there's no inside scoring badges and it's only 25 max acceleration, 25 speed with ball, and 25 ball handles. If I matched against this guy I'd destroy him purely on fast breaks

If my man scores 0 points, I'm happy. It's all about me getting in their head. When they see me scoring the get frustrated and break their role to get points

Still want to leaning towards a PF build. After watching several next gen videos, I'm starting to get an idea how I want to spread out ratings. Feels like I'm going to have to rely on badges since it seems like I'm going with an even spread. I might go higher physical ratings and an all around build. Where I'm good at everything,
but a master of nothing. I want more defensive badges. I'm good with 75-80 Interior D, Off/Def Rebound, block,, and steal with relying on badges. I want high Perimeter D though. Playmaking attributes will stick to 75-80 for all 3. Shooting want 3pt, Mid, FT all at 80. I'm not too concerned about Finishing badges. I'm willing to skip on Post Control. I just want 85+ Driving dunk and will spread out other ratings from there.

I only want to focus on one main build. I don't think I ever got past 93 OVR in the last 10 years, I usually get tired of grinding. I rather have the higher physical ratings and have decent enough ratings to be good at everything and have badges that can make up for it. I do want to wait until the season starts 11/22 or at very least after draft and after training camp starts.

It does seem like the face scans might transfer from last gen to the next based on videos. Wonder if the MyNBA2k21 app will get an update for next gen support. I would wait to buy NBA 2k21 until closer to after Free Agency and Draft. I want my MyCareer roster to be as close as the NBA 20-21 opening day roster as possible. But, I do want to save up VC and have no interest in buying any. So, I will probably farm VC in the MyNBA2k21 app

It's trash. 25 Acceleration, 25 with ball speed, 25 ball handles. I'd be licking my chops going against that

You want to be able to move around, so it needs to be tweaked

Yikes. So you basically have to sit corner or paint all game.

So do we use the app and scan our face for next gen too ?

                      Same thing as before ?

I just downloaded the app and scanned my face just incase so I’m ready to roll on Thursday. Atleast I’ll something loaded up ready to go. If I dont like the result I’ll just re-scan. Better than a generic face.....

                            Good information to know.

"If a badge has a requirement that you can hit when you reach 95+ overall (i.e. when you get +1 to +4 to your attributes at 96, 97, 98, 99) then yes, you can unlock and equip that badge once your each that overall. If your overall dips, you don't lose the badge"
"Example: Corner Specialist HOF is 88 three. If you have a three point rating of 87 after creating your player, you can unlock Corner Specialist HOF at a 96 overall because your three point rating received a 1 point boost for hitting 96"

Yes we do, same app. When you upload it there is a screen about a new head builder, and for maybe the 1st time ever my first scan that was uploaded came out great. I'm used to the first 2 looking like fetus babies so this was a nice change.

I made a 2 way sharpshooter, and I saw and felt a ton of immediate changes with the freedom we have, and also builds will look completely different even if the names are the same. You can max 3pt, mid, leave free throw at 25 and you only have like 4-6 shooting badges on a great shooting build, or max free throw to get to 24-ish. Should make for some interesting choices based on what you feel is needed.

Some changes I saw with 2 way sharps at Gaurd, on last gen at 6'5 and max wingspan the cap on 3pt is 74, which was embarassing for a shooting build. Now, I went an inch taller at 6'6, max wingspan, and the cap on my 3pt was 87, much more realistic imo. I maxed perimeter D, Steals, and blocks, and 60 on D rebounds for 25 def badges. I loved that I could keep my dribbling respectable at 75, and driving dunk at 72. Weakness on the build is close shot, layups, and pass accuracy which was 65.

There is a ton of wiggle room there to tinker, and take off a few points here and there, to get more badge points. Best part is I just started making the build I wanted without many restrictions. I could have left off the rebounding, and extra badges to be a dominant dunker but I wanted more hof badges on D with the added height and wingspan.
