Dont believe anything of the ai related stuff until I see it in action. Your marketing tricks dont get me anymore 2k...

Nextgen myplayer builder is good and what I wanted for years. Now I hope youll put some well considered restrictions and constraints on it, otherwise its gonna be fun to see how players will break the system and we go to patch hell after release.

I feel you. All you can hope for is that the devs know their game well enough to balance the stats effectively. Like if you max out speed and acceleration and put nothing in strength or vert, you shouldn’t be able to to stop blowbys, dunk and your layups should be easy to contest or block. And if dudes drop all their points in shooting and dribbling, they should be a turnstile on defense and have crappy contests. Or if they neglect any kind of driving dunk/layup, they should get crappy animations and miss more.

But I’m definitely a bit concerned. Can already see the pre-made squads being formed with T Rex arm 99 3-point, speed, acceleration and ball handling guards with their 85 3-point, 99 steal, 99 perimeter defense wings with their 99 rebounding Centers.

Related to my last post - I wish to satisfy everyone they split myplayer potentioal into 2 - 1 for offline only and one for online, because as I said, I want to make my unique player - you obviously value online (which I don't) so let me do whatever I want offline because who is it harming? and let online guys be reaosnably capped so that they can't abuse it

Yeah I would have no qualms with that. I’m not sure why 2K doesn’t provide an uncapped myplayer. Seems like it’d be super easy to design. Duplicate the online one, remove the caps and don’t let them enter the neighborhood.

Something I noticed from the video...the only post attribute in there is Post Control. Seems like the post game might entirely come from the badges now?

I agree. Offline players can whatever they want. Online, you NEED to have restrictions. Some of us will obviously make characters that we want, but we all know that 95% of 2K players are going to create some OP meta build.

I just went back and looked. Great...backcourt players will have ratings and badges while bigs will have to rely mostly on badges to be effective. What ratings are going to determine post fades, post spins, post hooks, etc?

I think it was like this in an older 2K game where you’d basically have a 60 for your post attributes at the start and as you level up the hook badge for example, each badge level would increase the attribute. I would guess that’s probably going to be the case again with this game.

The "pound the ball inside" gameplan sounds a lot more like the NBA during the ps3 era than the NBA during the ps5 era... very bad example to choose
