Can someone confirm if something similar to the camera following doncic (or a player) from the tunnel to the court is actually in the game or it was made just for the trailer?
    It's in MyCareer..

One of the BIGGEST upgrades to me is that I feel the court and body of players are more proportional! I feel like the court is much bigger and now spacing is what it should’ve been the last several years. My one only complaint I would say is that I wish the crowd was more involved. More interactive crowds, when the defense chants is going on I notice the crowd just sitting down not moving it kind of takes me out of the immersive euphoria I was in when playing other than that this is an easy 10/10

      Update:

I played my brother online and it was so weird for us to play a game together. Just setting it up was confusing and needs to be fixed asap. I love the gameplay offline. Playing my brother online the players seemed stiffer in movement and it wasn’t as fluid as it was against cpu. Looks like i’ll just be playing this game offline by myself again as always.

        Re: NBA 2K21 - Next-Gen Impressions

I've watched quite a few videos, and I keep seeing players running in the paint back and forth for several seconds before taking a terrible shot.

(That's not the 2K way, we all know where we've seen it...)
        My Specs:

        ZX Spectrum
        CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
        GPU: Monochrome display
        RAM: 48 KB
        OS: Sinclair BASIC

No, not necessarily. You have to download the next gen version. It has Zion on the cover instead of Dame.

PS5 version is slightly underwhelming after that initial trailer.

During gameplay it doesn't look much different than the current gen version.

It definitely feels smoother and transition animations are better but without setting up perfectly scripted closeups like the trailer, it doesn't look anywhere near what I was expecting it to.

CPU pick-n-roll defence feels broken. Easy to spam lobs with players like Gobert. CPU over hedges, with no help dropping into the middle. Others experiencing this on XboxX?

                Re: NBA 2K21 - Next-Gen Impressions

Ok so I got 2k21 on pc where it plays amazing but sucks that we must wait for next gen until 2k22 so I got it for series x yesterday

One of my biggest issues with console 2k is the 60fps which dips and then 30fps after basket camera cuts and 30fps replays. it was a huge eye soar to have that kind of drop. On pc it was always locked at the fps I selected.

But after the trailer I wanted to see if these new ps5 and series x consoles with much more power were able to fix the issue.

On series X the thing you see right away is the player models are completely updated from looking cartoonish to look life like. They did an amazing job with the player models and the polygons on their faces and hair. The skin looks more realistic. It is a beautiful game for sure

But the tip off on series x has a nasty fps drop right away and after basket or after fouls camera cuts the fps judders to 30fps and same for replay. There are some instances of fps drops but overall the actual gameplay is smooth

I was ready to delete the game and lose my money but gave the game more time and I have been playing it all afternoon. I only play season mode so i cannot speak on create a player and courts and online since I dont care for all that.

The game on the court is amazing. So many little things that will come with more play time. Help defense is much better, still skating but more controlled and pick and roll defense works great and you can sag off a defender or a screener like it should with weight and good body contact.

The biggest upgrade to current gen is that the game is more wide open and you got A.I for your team running around screens and getting open jumpers and little touches like an A.I screener point to the shoulder you should drive to. It is all amazing touches of realism. I actually finished full games and the level of control with good ball handlers is amazing.

One big thing is shooting is much easier then last gen. I was doing All Star mode because anything higher it was impossible to shoot. Now on Super Star i feel it feels good maybe a hair above realism but with sliders or maybe HOF level it should be perfect.

I am just super hyped at the little touches to gameplay that make this a fantastic upgrade. I am going to see if I can get it on PS5 tomorrow and see if the game maybe has better performance which i hope it does by maybe making the resolution just a tad lower which would be a welcomed thing for me.

You guys should definitely give it a go and you will see the improvements are there and the game feels like FUN which is hard to imagine in 2k of late

Sliders are going to be needed but also raise help defense to about 70

I think this is a great game to get next gen kick started. I used broadcast cam and the initial look of the game seems like the prior gen but if you pay attention you can see the detail of the picture is enhanced. Players look more life like, the lighting, rim and net physics look better. The movement and feeling of your players are better and they seem more intelligent. Overall I think they really refined the game to where it needs to be. The only thing I need more time with is each teams tendacies because there was alot of shots right at the basket compared to more midrange to 3 point shots but it was only one game.

I'll be waiting to hear from you on the PS5 version. I haven't purchased it yet, just waiting to see which console I want to buy it for. I pick up my PS5 early, but will wait until after work before I the game.

I didn't think this would be as big of a deal for me, but damn does instantly loading into everything make a huge difference as far as gameplay experience.

No way anyone can claim the game graphically is not a HUGE upgrade.

After playing a full game on series x with the Nets vs Mavs

I went to my PC and played 2k21 the last gen version running at 4k ultra 144fps and it looks cartoonish and player faces not even close to how realistic they look now

I mean the body type looks much improved and how the uniform looks is detailed but the damm faces and hair. AMAZING

I once again had a hard time shooting in All Star on PC but Super Star on new console is much easier to get your shots. The game is tons of fun in next gen. I cannot wait for 2k22 on pc

Everything else looks incredible (Demons Souls, Astrobot etc), 2K just looks slightly better than current gen.

I'll add some pics to the screenshot thread to show just how deceptive the official marketing has been...
