Can you elaborate more on how the trigger control changes things? I didn't know the adaptive triggers had an effect on shooting.

I have not played enough to know all effects. However, it is hard to pull the LT trigger to time your shots when you are in traffic. Thus, hindering you from timing your shot properly. Which causes way more misses.

Definitely an all over improvement from current gen. Everything is just that little bit better. I’ve played around 3-4 hours so far and that’s just it unfortunately, everything is just a little better. Graphics look nicer, as an art/roster focused guy the addition is hair/headband styles is a welcomed addition but I feel is still lacking for a lot of players. 2k have something against Robin Lopez still with him going like 5 yrs looking inaccuratly the same.

Adaptive triggers are nice, gameplay smoother and new commentary and crowd is good. I feel it’s going to be a year or two until we get the next gen people really wanted though

Hey, guys I was wondering if you believe that Sony will eventually allow us to save PS5 saved game data onto a flash drive?

I know that the PS4 was not originally capable of it at launch and if was added in as a software update a year later. Sony said in a recent Q&A that they are exploring PS5 flash drive saves In a future software update. Do you think the chances are very good that they will eventually work this out and I’ll be able to back up my saves onto a Flash drive? Is there any reason why they won’t be able to sort this out?

I’m fine with using online Ps Plus storage for the time being, but I want to be able to use flash drives eventually so I can cancel Ps Plus and also because I prefer them than constantly updating them online. I save a lot of historic rosters on 2k specifically and do not want to risk losing them because of some data corruption or PSN glitch. If I’m unsure of this I might just have to get a Series X instead.

Interesting. Didn't even know LT effected your shot. Isnt that also the post up button?

I have to wait for a 50 GB patch? The patch download restrictions on PS5 are worse than PS4. Only two games seem to be able to download at the same time.

Anyone have success with the help defense button?
May be a dumb question, but did you actually set the button to help defense? There's an option in settings. Otherwise, it triggers a double team.

I've been playing all day yesterday and today. The City is fun. I like the different challenges and the scenery inside the warehouses. The sun rays cutting through a dusty warehouse makes it feel so next gen.

Online vs is much better. I feel like I have more control of the game. Its easier to make shots than I can ever remember, but still balanced at the same time. I went ham on the dribble with Dragic, vs Lebron, then pulled up for the 3 in his face, and it was green. The crowd went crazy. I dont see much difference in shooting online vs offline.

Yeah. I’m just able to scrimmage now while game is installing and it’s under controller settings. It defaults to double teams but you can switch to help.

Edit: Why on earth is my disc install to the PS5 so ridiculously slow? It’s insane. I have to leave the disc in and there are 25 GB left and it’s taking HOURS. It’s absurd.

Good heads up on this. I didn't know this was an option just thought they changed the double team button to help instead.

Can't wait to play this game tomorrow when my PS5 arrives but I'm going to be spending a lot of messing with settings to figure out what best suits my play style and preferences.

Finally, the question I have been waiting to get answered...

For anyone who has played 2K21 on both last gen and next gen, if I save my roster will it carry over to the new gen?

I'm assuming not but still need to hear the correct answer 100%.

Yep. Its the first thing i did when i loaded the game up. The only difference is that when you hold the lb button, and the setting is on help defense, he will run back to his cover upon button release. If its on double they wont go back on button release. There is also no icon helo defense. The icon is always double

The help defense slider is functioning properly. It is the first slider under the coaches settings. Really cuts down on the cpu paint scoring and forces jumpshots
