Bro STOP with the "shoe companies send in the scans to 2K" unless you currently occupy a desk job at 2K [emoji848]

Anyone that knows their way around software such as but NOT limited to:

Blender
Zmod
AutoCAD
Fusion 360

DON'T hold me to it but I'm almost sure 2K uses Blender since it has the most plugins, I've seen 2K models in Blender for years. . . 2K can create 3d shoe models from scratch if they wanted, even from photo copies and. . . with there already being several in-game shoe models that closely resemble others it's NOT that hard to work off another shoe model base either. . .

If community modders, some even teens across varies games can do this surely 2K can when they get paid BIG bank so that argument about sending scans is WEAK af to stay the least besides. . . it's a partnership, they provide for one another other [emoji848]

So ya'll telling me I should put ALL the blame on Nike, Adidas, Puma, etc...? If that's the case, why isn't someone complaining to the shoe companies? All the gripes I see on here should be in the shoe companies' inbox on a daily. Correct?

Lol[emoji23] I've been waiting for somebody to make it make sense for years. . . people have been saying the same about face scans too when ALL you need is a base model(s) to work off if you are NOT creating a model(s) from scratch. . . it's been kinda to why much doesn't change 3D model wise. . .

If anybody believes that "CROCS" actually begging 2K to scan their product you are sadly mistaken, 2K stepped to them for the ok to avoid stepping on ANY copyright toes. . . it's NOT the shoe companies fault trust. . .

That's like saying these arena owners need to scan their own courts in order to be updated, makes NO sense [emoji47][emoji848]

I know that doesn't make you feel good, not as easy as it is to blame 2k but its the truth. You should direct your ire at the shoe companies. And it isn't all the shoe companies, Puma sent their scans to us very early.

Once again, it is the shoes companies duties to provide their scan. Doesn't have to be the way you want it to be but it is the process. Nike is probably more interested in creating models for the meta verse than making sure their shoe gets into a silly video game.

It is on authority that the shoes companies scan in models and sent to 2k. You can come up with as many theories as you want , doesn't make you right. Kind of like when my wife is so mad that she just refuses to accept any sort of reasoning. And you're right, it is a partnership that states that the shoe companies will send their scans into 2k lol Which makes your argument right, im sure 2k is capable of putting a shoe in the game, but it is not part of the partnership.

Just talked to customer service at Nike. Rep told me to contact corporate at their 1-800 number. So I will call them tomorrow since they are closed for the day. Stay tuned...

You can keep banging your head against the wall but it doesnt change that shoe scans are sent in by the shoe companies. Kudos to the guy on here being proactive and making calls

Scans have not been sent to 2K since before 2014 when the original Next Gen version was released. That was the old days concept and computer programs are much more advanced. Anyone who has the game on CPU and is familiar with Blender knows this. The shoe is based on a somewhat close clay model of the actual shoe. Then the shoe model pattern is cut up into sections which are used for editable layers. Now there may be a licensing issue which could possibly be 2K realized that they are giving shoe brands free advertisement and may have started asking for compensation (Merely my own speculation) or as someone mentioned it could be related to this new NFT craze. But it 100% is not a sneaker companies needs to send a scan. A modder can use a picture of a shoe, scale it to a clay model and boom the shoe is in the game. For whatever reason 2K hasn't added shoes. I don't think it's laziness nor a they don't care issue TBH. We live in a society now where everything has a monetary reason behind it and that may just be the case. Who knows but neither 2K nor shoe companies will address it so we're left to speculate.

FACTS. . . I've taken models from games(PC) an converted them to other games(PC) using Zmod hell, I've made my own 3d models from scratch to in the past an I wasn't a polished modder like many of those I know who still model from scratch just as GOOD as those who model for 2K and very detailed too. . . NO clay model scans, maybe 2K uses clay but it's as simple as importing a image(s) of objects or creating objects from scratch. . .

I'm NOT gonna get into ALL that but there are a few guys in these threads that create models from scratch for the PC version 2K. . . if we had a 2K mod menu for consoles similar to Looyh's NBA 2K22 Hook Tool for PC we wouldn't be having these know it ALL fanboy conversations, we'd be discussing mod folders [emoji848]

People can say the shoe company haven't sent in scans but its 2K who this fall on. This should have been taken care of before the game came out. It seems like they more focus on the season, music and and everything but sneakers. NBA 2K sales is going down since before the pandemic and I bet because of a lot of issues sales just gonna get lower. It's looking like we might get a huge sneaker dump and 2k23 the wait is gonna be worst. Players is turning away from the game because they not happy. Hell I'm playing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint more now then 2k and I have never played a game besides GTA more then NBA 2K. 2k need to step their game up
