I think the only part I don't enjoy is just how big the city is. I want to do everything but even with the skateboard it takes forever to get anywhere

I think there's a quick spawn anywhere once you unlock it but yeah I'm not a fan of running around doing sorta fetch quests.

I want sign posts on every block where it serves as a quick travel...

I honestly don't even mind it that much. I've had a weird amount of fun finding rails to grind on along the way and at least now you get MyPoints or whatever they're called for hitting certain travel distance thresholds so even the skateboarding is helping me level up now.

I found that the little lips around the park in the center of the city are basically a speed boost if you grind on them too which has been fun.

Its not as bad as past years, but theres still glimpses of bad. May be because of the improved defense, but non-star players regularly turn the ball over, cant (refuse to?) create shots and will either pass you the ball with 2 seconds on the shot clock, or jack up a contested 35 footer lol. It needs some tweaks for sure.

As I won't get the game until around Black Friday, I did watch a few videos on MyCareer. I do like additions to the mode. There does seem like there is much more to do offline. I will take advantage of any quick travel.i already know the methods to get Gym Rat fast and the Mamba Mentality badge

How is the AI playcalling in MyCareer? Last year, it felt like they heavily favored Post Ups. I seen them run offenses through non-offense bigs last year. I had to remove Post plays from the playblook last year.

Too early to ask, but I do wonder if they changed up the requirements to unlock Rotations, Playbooks, and Influence FA/Trades?. I didn't care for it last year having to hit X amount of games/stats and not being able to track it. Last year, I had a corrupted file so I never unlocked it despite playing the first 100+ games

no instant replays during nba games
no replay for challenged calls
no assist of the game
no player of the game
last year MC was the same... this makes it seem like they don't care, because the WNBA has the highlights and all that stuff with no problems. And from all the stuff ppl complain about, this seems like an oh we missed that, quick patch work and voila! replays... but nah

This burns me up so much. I reported 2 tickets to 2k, posted here and on reddit and it makes me so mad. For anyone that takes a mycareer into the nba as their jam it's so frustrating and diminishes the mode SO MUCH. you grind, work hard and finally get your guy to pull off something spectacular and worthy of a replay and ...crickets... later you get better, passing, dunking 3's - assist of the game - nope, player of the game ....nope .. how about some good 'ol end of quarter highlights??? ... nope. All this stuff works in every single mode except this one AND even in mycareer IT DOES WORK lll JUST NOT IN THE NBA!!!!
IF they don't fix this issue in the next 2 months, I'll still get my money's worth and play all modes etc, but I won't be buying next year or subsiquent years and won't miss it too much either. I can't stand that they don't address these things, especially that are this old. last year it was the same thing and looking on reddit - it's quite possibly an issue since 2016!?!!?

IF anyone is reading this and plays this mode, please confirm if you even have seen an NBA replay in Mycareer. I really need to know if this is a global 100% of the time for 100% of people issue or if it only affects a majority or whatever.

Also, CPU super punishes you if you slack on defense just a LITTLE bit... I feel a player like Draymond could go 5/5 from the 3 if I slip up and i'm not in front of him with my hands up... Like casual 3pt shooters were lighting me up week 1 of me playing this lol. I got it 2k... ALWAYS have your hands on the right stick or else SPLASHHHHH in your eye.......... on pro too, we don't care, be great on day 1

I kinda want to give a pass for last year with everything in perspective. They didn't really patch any of the main issues at all, so I hoped that they spent the time focusing on 2k22. This year, I do hope they patch this stuff in this year before I buy around Black Friday.

I do feel more comfortable with how this mode looks compared to last year. While I enjoyed my time(to an extent), I could have passed on last year. These missing features aren't the be all end all for me. For me, it's Influencing Rotations and Trades. Last year, I had a corrupted file, so I never unlocked them. That's something I always look forward because of poor Team AI. I never grinded to 99. Last year was the furthest I got, which was 95 OVR. I skipped 2k20, so the past years, I grinded to 90 OVR where you unlocked the ability to influence trades and rotations/minutes. It's important for me because of bad the AI can be at times. I never had interest in trading for Superstar teammates. I just want to build a realistic team around my player and fix weaknesses. So I hope they fix that or change the requirements to unlock them

Man I got drafted by the Spurs on my SG and it is a damn struggle. I'm struggling to score on this defense, and these damn Spurs can't buy a damn bucket if I feed them, and they can't get me any good looks either.

Appreciate the struggle though.

I just played my first college game and my name was just MP, not the name I entered. I don’t see anywhere I can edit it either? I’m mostly interested in the single player stuff so it’s gonna be a real mood killer if I can only go by MP
