Yeah, I've played around 50 rec games and 70 or so park games. I'll probably hit level 30 tonight if I play and I'm 96 overall. Leveling is pretty quick, especially if you play Rec/Pro-Am. Don't really care about level, I'm just having fun playing the game.

Some of the rewards are pretty cool though

Do you squad up before going to rec? I have fun when I do but going in solo is rough because sometimes you get stuck in a match where people don't pass at all.

Reinstalling 2k as I type, hopefully that fixes it
I let The Game clown me in hopes of making some good MP/VC out of the ordeal but got stuck on the part where you have to DJ for him because I don’t have the turntable equipment in my inventory.

Does anyone know where in the City we can go to get some DJ gear?

            Without question man.

Ive been experimenting with a SF build. I really like the builder this year.

Would you guys say leveling up in 2K22 is the easiest it's been? (Since 2K went to this format)

Also, would you say lower level players aren't as useless as they've been in previous years?

Does anybody else play career games and feel like the scoring is super low? Idk I play on HOF difficulty and am a PF for the Pistons and i know the team sucks but man through 12 games the most we have scored is around 80pts it’s always a super low scoring game in the 70s or 60s and I’m just like wtf is this cuz the Pistons suck or is it like this with all teams and I’m starting by the way as well

First time poster & first time playing NBA 2K since the Jordan edition way back when. Can anyone recommend a tall Shaq-esque build for mycareer & the park? I just want to be a rebound/block/standing dunk monster.

Also any advice for grinding VC without paying would be helpful.

I haven't went in with a full squad once so far in 22, it can be pretty frustrating with ballhogs and players with low defensive IQ. Playing as center I can somewhat control the game though, can always find the open man off a rebound.

Definitely the easiest leveling in 2k that I can remember. Plus you get 2x rep several times as level rewards

It does feel like low overalls can come in and be fine. I have a friend with a big man build very similar to mine, was dominating in rec last night at just 68 overall lol

Yep, I've noticed that HOF AI opponents and teammates suffer from a couple of issues.

                      1. Taking heavily contested mid-range/short mid-range jumpers
                      2. Driving in and attempting layups/dunks regardless of the defense
                      3. A tendency to sometimes Very Early or Very Late open 3's.

This is a bit of an extreme example from my latest career game

Not sure if it takes more/less time if you do it more "professionally/quietly" but I did the full blast on the team (Leaking the preferred destinations to the media, confirming it's legit in an interview) and it took 40 games (simmed about 10-15) to get traded from Detroit to Milwaukee.

I made it to the end of the music quest line tonight after finishing the fashion quests first and there's a huge VC payoff after you complete both of them. I made about 60,000 VC in the hour or two that it took me to go through the last couple of missions from the point that you sign The Game to your record label to the point when you upgrade from your small apartment on the outskirts to the mid-city penthouse.

I had been starting to question whether or not all those side quests were worth my time but then everything took off to unexpected heights and I ended up making about three times more VC on the side quests than I have from my 25 or so NBA game paychecks.

As immersive as this mode is, it’s sorely missing injuries. The fact that you still can’t get injured really sucks.

I love MyCareer. But, if it had injuries like MLB the Show in Road to the Show mode, it would be amazing. Having an injury attribute that you need to contribute to, or leave yourself at higher risk would be great. And for those that don’t like it, leave it as an option.

Btw, if you go into player editor, you’ll see there’s an amazing variety of injuries.

                              Maybe someday…

My C was chosen by Nets. In 20+ games, Harden was injured...for 6 mos ....so the injuries are there. And in the Injury list, there were significant numbers too.
