Isn't it just! As I said earlier, I sincerely apologize from my end for the derailment. It's not constructive in the least, but I have tried several times now to end the nonsense.

Anyway - with that said, at least the rest of us can formulate civil discussion.

what's your take on all the classics at this stage, V? I don't think I'm far off the mark in saying hopes for vast improvements or additions are on the cards anytime soon, not with the focus on online gaming and 2k clawing in cash for fantasy modes etc etc.

I'm still having a blast with 2k20, and am managing to squeeze every last drop of classic team enjoyment out of that, but am leaning to making a step back to 2k14 on the PC again, just so I can immerse myself with the UBR roster and its plethora of retro seasons.

Simply put it would be a waste of resources to allocate additional effort into any more classic teams on account of the fact that you guys asking for that stuff will never be fully satisfied regardless . There is a very simple and common sense explanation as to why they can’t get ‘85 Michael to look the way the current players do , and the same goes for penny/shaq/bird/ etc.

It would be much more useful for the time and money spent on trying to get a Charles Barkley into the game to be spent on licensing current teams and players into the game such as G league squads and the top sides around Europe . Not only would it contribute to the game in terms of making Franchise/MyTeam a more robust and accurate experience, there would be much more revenue generated from the addition of having these rosters/stadiums/scans in the game

Imagine if you could sign free agents from Real Madrid or fenerbache to your Knicks save , or if you could alternate playing games between your NBA team and their G League affiliate . If it’s possible for you to do that in MLB the Show then you should absolutely be able to do it in 2K , but having those teams and players scanned with their corresponding stadiums would truly take this game to the next level . I would sacrifice every single classic team and player in the game if that would make what ive suggested a reality

Not sure about you, but I'm an old head, and am completely opposite in terms of ideals for the game.

I'd happily sacrifice every single current team and all online modes, just to be able to fund classic teams. Despite not being financially feasible, nor targeting the ideal demographic, it'd sure make me satisfied. One can only dream.

Thing is, in spite of the pleading and fantasizing, classic teams are dead. 2K's money making machine understandably takes precedence over everything else, and that's where they channel their time and resources. It's just how it is now. Little Timmy giving them cash to buy his virtual clothes to use online is always gonna fill pockets.

It may not be as often as wanted, but Classic teams still see new additions and likeness updates.

Meanwhile PNO hasn’t seen an actual change in 5 years…That mode is DEAD.

You have to tweak some of the players, edit some move sets maybe, edit some accessories, change shoes, adjust attributes and tendencies (mid range and 3 tendencies are way off for some players) and I find it’s more immersive when you put them on EXISTING team rosters and just use the classic jerseys. In that regard playing with classic players is super satisfying. I mix classic players with current players and it’s insanely fun and many classic players hold up immersively to current players. Game would be crazy boring to me to just use current rosters.

Disregarding classics for G league players? LMAO stop it. Classic NBA is still generating some of the most interest when it comes to NBA related productions and gear. Most 2K buyers are kids, yet judging by 2K’s marketing, classic players are a huge boom for them by how often they use them as advertisements and selling tools.

I personally don’t care much for the classic TEAMS as much as classic players. I can adjust the rosters/teams myself.

Honestly (and speaking as a MyTeam player this year), it's comes down to 2K giving very little effort/interest to the traditional offline and PNO modes. The moneymaker is MyCareer and MyTeam. I can attest that there are a LOT of historic players in the MyTeam Mode that are NOT available in the offline mode.

The above link shows every available player/card in the MyTeam mode. Then there are cases where the player IS available in the offline mode, but they're not added to the respective all-time/classic teams for PNO. Being a Pacers fan, Lance Stephenson NOT being added to the Classic Pacers Team for PNO was basically the final nail in the coffin for me when it came to PNO. My brothers have heard this complaint before, but the Pacers were having a tank season this year, and the only real incentive for me to continue playing the mode is if they added Lance to Classic Pacers team. Never happened....

EDIT: Funny...I've been using them in MyTeam, but I just realized that Austin Croshere and Darren Collison are not available offline.

Truth lol. To see how vital historic players are to the game, look no further than how vital they are to MyTeam. But historic teams are definitely on the backburner.
