really don't know why you changed the free throw of Pippen.
His feet were on the free thow lign not just the right foot and the left foot behind.

In times like this, I really appreciate the 2kDesigns... 1998-01 Charlotte Hornets uniforms!

We ever getting the nba logos back on the headbands that 2k removed for whatever reason? Or those details hold no monetary value so therefore not worth the time?

It also happened to Austin Carr on the 98 Jazz. Anyway to get the goggles back once this happens after it’s a save roster. I tried to copy an original DNA from the official roster but that didn’t work.

Watching all star weekend really shone a light on how outdated a lot of 2Ks player face renders are. I won’t even start on how off the the body types are

I think we also have to realize in order for some of these guys to get updated with hairstyles, faces and all that.. they need to not only want to be updated, but they gotta make time to go to the studios to get the rendering updated.

I really wish this was a legitimate excuse but as we have seen and people keep saying time and time again, PC modders have shown it can all be done without waiting years for a player to finally sit down for a new scan.

Of course PC modders can do it bro, no doubt.. because they arent under company regulations. You can get any updated scan from Jordan to Lil Wayne if you wanted by modders. The thing we have to realize is, this is a business unfortunately.

PC modders can put in Barkley and Miller.. no problems. 2K cant, because they have paperwork they need to deal with in order to have them in the game. Almost the same thing with guys they have in the game, you want an updated JA Morant? Most likely Ja has to come to the studios and then sign off paperwork for his latest scan.

I definitely feel you about updated scans and all, but we must remember, 2k is a company that cant just do whatever they feel because they have the NBA License. There is some red tape they must go through for things.

                        Hmm where to begin.

Any current player contracted to the NBA is legally able to have their likeness in game. Whether it be scanned or rendered. If you read the blurb when you boot up the game it states this. I’m not talking about “lil Wayne” or ex players no longer contracted to the NBA not having scans. I’m talking about current players whose likeness is in game and OUDATED.

There is no legal issue with updating them apart from the odd tattoo dispute. But accurate haircuts, beards, body types, accessories and in most cases tattoos are all fine to be updated whenever 2k see fit.

Regardless of this mythical “paperwork” you speak of.

The most annoying part when it’s spelled out to people that 2k can update players without them sitting for a scan the response is “well get a PC” which voids 2k of any responsibility which is also an odd response for a forum that discusses the game and what can be improved by 2k.

Luka needs a new body scan. He’s much thinner in 2k23 than he is in real life. Especially his upper body. Please fix this along with people like Christian Wood, who is much lankier in real life than 2k. I feel like tall players don’t feel tall in 2k. Players models in general don’t feel next gen imo. Maybe it’s because 2k is still having to make current gen, but I haven’t felt the “wow” factor with 2k on next gen yet. Y’all remember the video of virtual LeBron speaking from years ago selling the game at the time? That’s the kind of wow im talking about. 2k currently looks good on ps5 but not great; not wow, imo. I hope this changes for 2k24. Oh and please give Dwight Powell his current haircut. He’s had the same face and hair since forever.

Does anybody know why they took the option of glasses away from Richaun Holmes and Wendal Carty Jr? And how hard can it be to add headbands on players that wear them? Simple fix in my point of view!!

Re: NBA 2K23 Art Feedback Thread

Piggybacking on the general problem with majority of the player models, body scans need a massive update. Majority of the new face scans are impressive and I believe will improve once the developers focus primarily on next gen, but as we stand now I don’t think there’s a massive difference between current gen and next gen player models other than the details next gen offers. Found this modder on IG and it blows me away the difference his player models look compared to 2ks. If this isn’t a clear wake up call to 2k developers I don’t know what will. My dream would be that 2k would actually skip a release year and focus whole heartedly on a next get 2k. Granted they won’t do this for money reasons lol but graphics wise it doesn’t feel “next gen” and once PC transitions to next gen it’ll be embarrassing (kinda already is) what they’ll be able to do compared to actual developers. It’s evident it’s possible to achieve under the current software but I mean even implementing the Unreal engine would take this game and franchise to the next level. It just feels like 2k has had the same look for years now and hasn’t looked even as good as 2k14 with that Lebron trailer. Just wish the developers had the same level of passion as these modders or at least team up with them because the current models do not look like NBA athletes
