It's better in a slightly different way. Blocks got tuned up for good blockers. Anthony Davis can stop my myplayer 1v1 haha. Under the hoop you get a stupidly huge bar, but you can still get strange contests. If you can release at top, you will make a lot of shots.

Caldwell Jones would need to be added to the 76-77 Sixers Classic Team and 83-84 Rockets team in the Bird/Magic ERA roster. He likely comes via the next RETRO update which should also include some other players I hope (M. Gasol, J. Calderon, L.Deng, C.Atkins (added to 2 different teams in the classic roster), M.McGee, L.Eackles, etc.)
Do you know when they do retro updates or is it random? If I can get a real Luol Deng I could finally commit to a franchise and recreate the 2011 bulls.

Ah, got it. Their wording on him confused me (“updated sculpt”) which implies Minor is currently in the game. But I guess if he is, it’s only for MyTeam. I’m weary that he does get added to the draft class though, as I noticed a lot of guys don’t receive updates in draft classes.

I didn’t notice their wording on randomized attributes. Are they saying the issue where tendencies of players get adjusted after each MyNBA season is fixed (like shot under basket plummeting for everyone)?

Also I’m curious, when freshly drafted players play their first season in MyNBA, do they arrive to the league with tendencies already randomized?

Shoes are applied across all saves. At least they are for me. I have the Ja 1’s already and mine is a day 1 roster. I still don’t have updated jerseys of course so those aren’t across saves. Not sure about courts.

I also noticed they changed the font for the big OVR number on the top right of the screen when viewing players in rosters. It’s subtle but I definitely noticed that and some general font adjustments after as much time on roster editing that I’ve spent.

            I agree!
I’m after 3 games vs CPU and I can say that blocks are tuned, less weird blocks when a player doesn’t finish the animation. CPU finally hitting shots, open, contested and in the post, when before ( even though all Cpu shooting attributes are at 60 on my slider set) cpu would barely make it to the 40%, now they are shooting mid 50%, which I’m thrilled. Also I’ve noticed that the CPU doesn’t dribble without a cause and get stuck in the key as before the patch. The game now is finally fun and challenging again.

Another patch goes by and still no adjusting the double team logic against post offense.

It's a glaring issue when no help or double comes from a clear mismatch against a skilled post player.

What’s with the hookshots though? I don’t know if this is post patch, but I’m seeing a lot of green when I attempt a hook shot, but the shots are still bricking like crazy. I’m talking shots just 3ft away from the rim. It seems like it’s easier to make a mid range or 3 than a hookshot. And I’m attempting these in freestyle practice mode!

Pretty sure that's linked to the "post hook" attribute which is low for most players. If I go into a hook animation close to the basket I always pull out of the shot and hope the defender bites on the fake. I think I've made one or two ever and it looks ridiculous when you miss them from 2-3 feet.

I would absolutely agree IF the game was cheese with contested shots where they go in too much. But it’s the opposite. Out of the box contested shots never went in. I had to lower defensive jumpshot strength sliders to 10 just to make it realistic. Now after this patch am I supposed to lower it to 0?

They keep fixing things that aren’t broken, therefore breaking things. Then break them more when they try to “fix them again.”

When 2K22 came out this message board was on cloud 9. Everyone saying it was the best 2K ever. Then after the first patch it was destroyed, now many call it the worst 2K (imo 2K21 next gen is by far the worst 2K. Defense non existent).

Then 2K23 comes out, and once again we’re all saying it’s not just the greatest 2K ever, but the greatest sports game ever.

It goes months with no touches to gameplay. Then all of a sudden, they pull the rug out and send us all scrambling back to sliders. Then they keep tweaking new things and then re tweaking them to send us back to slider hell. It’s insane.

The f*#^}^}ing game wasn’t broken to begin with. Why mess with it. Now it’s a complete chaotic disaster.

I’m sure I can ONCE AGAIN find a slider balance to get it right. But I’m tired of constantly redoing sliders after I get them into a sweet spot.

I CAN’T WAIT until 2K24 comes out. Not so I can buy it (I’m not masochist so I’m not gonna willingly go through all this again), but so they can finally leave 2K23 alone and maybe I can play it without having worry they’re gonna undo everything I like about it.
The contest is a p bad philosophy, but the one of “if someone is there” is worse. You can contest by hopping around but if people are flat foot and not pushing into u, u can make a lot more shots now. It’s better but still meh. Js are ok.

Hah finally fixed city courts, only took them 3 months...and why not tell us what tweaks were made? Guess all of us who care about getting things right in MyERA will have to wait for 2k24.

After this patch they removed the option for guys that wear eye accessories that would disappear when you would edit them now they're gone completely. Idk if it's the official roster issue but it wasn't there before

For guys like Michael Jordan and Cam Thomas (aka MJ Jr.) to make tough shots couldn't we just add Deadeye/Blinder/middy magician badge combinations to solve this?
